The Korean-language Hyundai company blog has released two pictures of the new 2013 Genesis coupe due out at the North American International Auto Show in January. The pictures show the coupe falling into line with Hyundai’s design language.

The front end borrows some design cues from the new Veloster with its complex front fascia. Front headlights are more stylized to the vehicle and and LED fog lights nestled low in the front give the coupe a touch of class. Around back, the taillights have also been changed.

Edit: Carscoop has gotten it's hand on more pictures of the South Korean specification Genesis coupe which show more of exterior and interior. Also, the pictures confirm that the 3.8L V6 from Genesis sedan will make it's way into the coupe.

They did.

I am not sure about this re-design. I think it was a mistake to put so much family resemblance to the Veloster.

I agree...I liked this car for awhile, but the more I look at it the less I like it.

I like this, it looks more upscale and current than the original. What I don't like about the current Genesis Coupe is the Tiburon look and how the hood sort of slopes down and the grille is small. This looks to have a more upright front end and it has a bit of the Ford trapezoid and a little bit of Nissan/Infiniti vibe as well.
