Oddly tempting

Not bad. See if you can get one with 4.8V8 and 5 speed.

That's one of those permanent additions to the fleet because it won't break and it will always be useful.

It has spartan appeal.

The mileage and price are right.

And best of all, it's a manual!

As soon as I read that, I immediately thought of this.

Had one of these been available when I was truck shopping a couple of years ago, I definitely would have sprung for it.

Probably in the running for one of the longest gear shifters............

imagine the money Chevy saved by keeping the shifter on the Cruze so lilliputian in comparison.....

You're a funny guy, reg.

Those trucks were fast and fun. Too bad GM discontinued manual transmissions altogether in GMT900s.

2 e-mails, no response - I guess this one is off of the list.

It amazes me how many people advertise something on craigslist, and then don't respond to inquiries.

Guess what? This one was finally relisted, and this time they remembered to put a phone # in the ad.

It would be nice to have such a simple truck with low miles and a manual.

Not sure how to fit it into my overall plan though.

Might just have to do this and figure the rest out later.

The Tahoe needs some downtime so I can puff it up a bit.

Went and saw this truck today - it's a tad rougher than it looks and has a few issues.

Not too bad though.
