Yeah, Pontiac does it better than both Olds and Chevy...from 1964-1967.

Especially 1966-1967.

But I still prefer a 1966 Olds 442.

The Pontiac is all grunt and muscle. Awesome! The Olds is the gentleman's hotrod! Perfect blend of grit and class.

66-67 Olds is one of the best looking bodystyle cars GM ever built, period.

Similar Pontiac...would not kick either one out of the garage!

I like the top one the best.  Back in high school, lots of 71-74 stuff around, not so much on the earlier stuff.

Plus I grew up watching Petty race the 71-73 cars when i was in elementary school, that made a big impression on me. That is a highly under rated generation of Mopar automobiles.

Balls, that looks great!

Again, perfect wheel/tire/wheel well ratio makes everything look good, everything good look great, and everything great into perfection.

I agree, makes all the difference in the world.  Me and my brother were both talking last night how much we would like to lower both of our cars just enough to fill the wheelwells and give them both the kick-ass stance, but I am short money and the roads around here kind of scare us both out of it lol.

Besides the rims, just like my old Comet ( mine was a teal Caliente, warmed over 351W and rims like the convert below )

One of the best looking automotive designs of the 1960's IMHO. used to be one running around here built as sort of a Mercury version of a Ford Thunderbolt, 427, toploader 4 speed, the works.

Ford/Mercury did make a Mercury Comet ( Cyclone ) version of the '64 Thunderbolt Fairlane.

" For 1964, Ford produced about 50 ultra-high performance lightweight Comet Cyclones, equipped with their racing two-carburetor 427 engine, similar to their cousin, the Ford Thunderbolt. To avoid competing with each other, the Thunderbolts ran in Super Stock on 7-inch (180 mm) tires, but the Cyclones were modified to run in A/FX on 10-inch (250 mm) tires, where they were as dominant as the Thunderbolts were in Super Stock. Drivers included Ronnie Sox, Don Nicholson and Wild Bill Shrewsberry in conjunction with Jack Chrisman. Shrewsberry still owns his original 427 Comet in Caliente trim. "

Wow, I learned something, I did not know this!

I have seen Comets run at national trails in vintage drag racing, I will know more what to look out for next time I go to the track and they are doing the vintage drag thing.

I find the 24 hours of LeMons care sometimes beautiful in their own way.

Believe it or not, the "Ranchero" and the 59 Fury "Christine" both started life as 1980's BMW's

Love the Xr4Ti.  I have good friends with an immaculate one, family bought it new, still under thirty thousand miles. Not sure it has ever been driven in the rain.

And… really ?? This is neither 'beautiful' nor 'clapped out', so we must be running a 3rd overlapping thread. :D

Would love to get my hands on that!  My neighbor had a new one back in 84.  long story short we got a bad flood that year.  There is a XR4TI buried in his yeard along with, if I remember correctly, a 71ish Dodge Demon.

A little bit of everything is my thought.  Not everything can be a 59 Buick or a hellcat Challenger.

FD RX-7....a car that almost rivals the original E type jag for beauty, and also for being a PITA from a maintenance standpoint.
