Make mine RED

Recommended Posts

I've read it all, it's black and white

The spectrum made a shade I like.

The crimson rays are ruby bright

Technicolor light.

Red! I want red, there's no substitute for red.

Red! Paint it red, green ain't mean compared to red.

You don't know what it does to me,

My crimson intensity

I'm haunted by the mystery,

The mystey of red.

Red knocks 'em dead,

Some like it hot, I like it read.

Red is my lover, got it covered

Red is my number, sure as a coma

Red is my drummer, and I hear red thunder

Move over brother,

Red's a motherfu...(cker)

(Red! Red!)

Thats' what I said...

(Red! Red!)

Come on to bed

(Red! Red!)

Gimme' that expensive spread..

Hagar...

I found out alot about how many formulas of red are out there...

In the 80's, GM challenged PPG to come up with a red that caught

light in a special way...brighter than Porsche Guard's red. GM was

not happy with PPG's best, and kept experimenting til they came up

with Torch Red... I think it's best

today I picked it up!

Wait til my trim goes back on, and the sun comes out!

Torch red is hot....the best GM color of the 90s. I think even Victory red is a letdown compared to it. IThat color, coombined with the tasteful chrome trim on the Malibu, is going to make for one sweet ride.

Just one question: Did they paint the jambs or just the outside?

Glad to see you like Hagar too.

Jambs will get done later, with much care, by me. If want want some things

done right, you gotta do'em yourself...

This is a low budget car, I have like $3500 into it. Paint was done by Maaco

in Ferndale...8 1/2 mile & Woodward

It's all in the prepwork- They last few days have been real dry, and perfect

for painting, they really did a first class job. only a tiny bit on my exhaust & tire.

I can't wait for the sun to hit it...It looks like bright red even in the dark!

FREEEKIN' Awsome!!! :D

Red is not a color you see a lot on these cars, butternut yellow & silver

seem to be the two most popular in my neck of the woods.

There IS however a Ferrari red 1979? Pontiac Phoenix in Lowell. 8)

It's those little unsolicited compliments that really reaffirm that You Did Good (not to mention they can take a bit of the edge off what you paid to do it).

I remember bringing the bare shell of my '59 back home on a trailer. Guy in a muddy, lifted Jeep (not exactly the same enthusiast demographic) screeched to a stop in the street: 'Wazzat- a Plymouth?' 'Nope: '59 Buick.' 'Awesome!!'

I smiled the rest of the day.
