  1. There is almost no Benz left in this car, if any. I had one of these as a rental for my trip to Detroit for NAIAS, though mine was RWD rather than AWD. It is a fantastic roadtrip car. I don't know what kind of wheel bearing they are using but the 300C/S rolls better than nearly anything out there.. and I say that in while in the past week I've been at the helm of CT6/LS/G80. 80mph is way too easy. It's comfortable. It's big. It handles well. It goes fast. It has road presence. It is everything a big American sedan should be. On top of that, it is efficient and the infotainment system works well. My long distance trips at the aforementioned 80 mph have yielded 27mpg. Ya'll keep it under 70mph and you can get it over 30 on RWD models. If there is any letdown it is in the quality of materials in the interior. The S and the C Limited do fix some of that, but not all. This is one of my favorite vehicles on the market right now.... not because it is the best at any one thing, but because of the blend of things it does so well. I would absolutely drive the one pictured above and be very happy with it.

  3. Before the new Corolla hatchback hits dealers later this summer, Toyota has revealed pricing and fuel economy numbers. The base SE will set you back $20,910 (includes a $920 destination charge), while the XSE begins at $23,910. That will net you a new 2.0L four-cylinder with 168 horsepower and a six-speed manual. A CVT is available for an additional $1,100. This is what you get on either trim: SE: Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 with automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, and lane departure warning; 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay compatibility, and 16-inch wheels. XSE: 18-inch wheels, LED fog lamps, upgraded infotainment system, leather-and-fabric upholstery, and heated front seats. As for fuel economy, the SE with the CVT is the mileage leader with EPA estimates of 32 City/42 Highway/36 Combined. The XSE CVT is next with figures of 30/38/33. For the manual, Toyota only has figures for the SE which are 28/37/31. Numbers on the XSE manual are coming soon. Source: Toyota

  5. CT6, second gen Lacrosse. It doesn’t have to be RWD to get the nod. The only one at Ford I would give such a trophy to is the latest Explorer, Navigator too if we’re not considering budget. None of their cars though.

  6. True, pretty much all the parts that they used (or kinda shared) were gone after the first few years.....as they updated them pretty quick. Yes, I know that they were not FCA back then......I just hate using the "D" word.....??

  7. If there is one thing I've learned over the last however many years of watching politics is that someone, somewhere, will always have an issue with what you do as president. People complained about Obama ordering brown mustard! It's all just pettiness. It's no secret that I don't like Trump, but of all of the issues I have with him, his owning a bunch of Rolls Royces isn't one of them. I don't even care if he buys a new one tomorrow.

  8. I actually did some of that... picking up stocks that Warren buys. Anyway, I see no issue with Trump being a Rolls fan... he can like what he likes and I'm certainly not going to argue with that. If I were to become President, would people give me crap for continuing to own a car from a brand that no longer exists? The tariff is incredibly short-sighted though. "All-American" Buick is anything but.... Only 2/5ths of its lineup are built in the US. Encore - Korea Regal - Germany Envision - China Cascada - Poland Enclave - U.S. Lacrosse - U.S. Toyota? Corolla - Canada Camry - U.S. Avalon - U.S. RAV4 - Canada Highlander - US Tundra - US Prius - US Hyundai and Honda are much the same. And again, he's not going to get around NAFTA for the Canadian and Mexican built vehicles. This is targeted at EU, Japan, Korea, and Germany.

  9. It wasn't FCA at the time and none of those parts are still in use today. The suspension has been completely revised since the first generation. Transmission, engines, rear-diff are all replaced. Even the stupid MB cruise control lever was replaced after the first gen. There might be some random power window motor still shared, but parts like that get shared among manufacturers all the time. We don't call the Escalade based on an F-150 just because they share a transmission.

  10. I dig that green. It doesn't work on this as well but it's one cool color. It'd be perfect on their Jeep lineup.

  13. Potus 45 could start truly representing Americans by dumping his Rolls and buying and driving american auto's, supporting American companies in many ways that he does not do so now and stop this stupid tax everyone BS.

  14. It's equal parts boring & awkward- that's my opinion. Doesn't bear any Jag stylistic heritage. The i-pace is not ugly, it's just not something that reaches out and says 'me love you long time'. Fanboys will wax poetic all day long, it's like watching 'Runway' and listening to the prattle there. Meaningless. He's a shill, which is fine, but don't expect me to take it objectively. • BY THE WAY- that "sporty 3-spoke steering wheel" with the hollowed out bottom spoke is in ONE HUNDRED other models of all sorts of brands & price tiers. It's completely standard fare, yet listen to him speak of it in an awed tone. • "I've got a ton of legroom, 890 mm, which is a lot..." Gee whizzikers, that the exact same amount of rear legroom in a 'horribly cramped' CTS. Very interesting. • Good thing you can check out all the overhead traffic thru the giant sunroof, because it appears the rear headrests are touching the ceiling of the car- there is zero rearward visibility.
