  1. Why put in a CVT in any vehicle? Cost? Alleged efficiencies? As for the Encore GX, it should be sold as an AWD companion to the Encore here in the USA.

  2. Yeah, back at Thanksgiving time. The brake lines had all rusted out and so had the front subframe holding the engine in. It was going to cost many thousands to fix, so we just sold it for $1000. My partner's dad had a series of strokes last September and can't drive anymore, so we ended up with his Cruze, with very low mileage for its age, as a second car as soon as the CR-V was gone. We're probably going to put it on the market soon. In other news, I signed the paperwork this afternoon for my rental property to go on the market as well. It's about damn time the agent got around to that.

  4. It's only in the FWD models. The AWD get the 9-speed auto. I assume most of these are sold as AWD.

  5. Wonder what BMW’s real expectations are with this move?

  6. If only it hadn’t been ruined by the CVT in it. Just an absolute deal killer.

  7. I have to believe it takes in like age and sex as well because I've gotten dating ads before and I've literally never gone to a dating website but its algorithm saw youngish male and though I'd like to meet ladies.

  12. I spotted this 2019 Colorado Z71 this morning, in the parking lot at my favorite walking trail. Lo and behold, the keys just happened to be in my pocket. So... I brought it home.

  13. considering the coming electric cooper has unimpressive range and BMW has no clue on how to electrify, this doesn’t bode well

  14. Why not...BMW can't build a reliable ICE motor to save itself, and the brand can't fall much further. God only knows....just when you think people can't get any more witless....

  17. Then it wouldn't be a golf R....just like driving an electric Mustang would be like having sex with your sister. Or maybe not. Small performance cars are going the way of the Dodo bird. One can buy a decent V8 mustang for that kind of coin.

  18. MOST Cadillac dealers, traditionally (and here I mean the '50s, '60s, '70s, '80s, '90s) were paired. In the case of 2 Divisions in one store, via my unofficial observations; it was 85% with Oldsmobile. However, there were a significant portion of 3 or more Divisions in one store, so the overall is actually lower WRT Olds. I have been -as a by product of my Pontiac dealer compilation list- contributing to a mid century Cadillac site thread RE Caddy dealerships. "Traditional" stand-alone Cadillac dealerships were probably less than 15% of all Cadillac dealers. - - - - - 1910 :

  21. Not wanting to nitpick, but: "Also going away will be the standard cab variants of the Titan and Titan XD, leaving just the standard cab and quad cab in the lineup." Is the standard cab in or out? Did you mean Single cab? And what is their 'standard' cab configuration? I'm so confoozed! Sad to see their Cummins engine go though. I thought that was the one thing that could help them break out in the market. Now, they're just another truck company with an oversized payload capacity for what people actually use, and a thirsty gas engine to move it. As FCA already has their own in-house diesel for the Ram and Jeep, I can't see them doing anything with this Cummins.

  22. I think the problem with the Golf R is cost, those are over $40k and it is a VW Golf. A GTI is $13k less and a lot more manageable monthly payment wise for the demographic that is buying Golfs.

  23. Neither Nissan nor Toyota have a place in the truck market. Maybe Nissan will wisely leave the truck space here for the domestics.

  24. Well, a cheap truck is a cheap truck- could even discount it a bit to up sales. Still need that midsize though...
