  1. Interesting. It appears the duck went on to become a captain of industry, producing yardsticks for the people. And to think, as a kid, he was afraid he didn't measure up.

  2. Bloomberg reported back in June 2019 that GM was looking at bringing back Hummer to the portfolio. People questioned why bring back a Gas Guzzler and would it really help or hinder GM who was pushing Green and showing off their Bolt EV. President Mark Reuss is on record as saying he loves the Hummer! GM at the time was touting the BEV3 electric platform that will support 20 EVs on the road globally by 2023. Reuss also at the time said that the GMC Denali line and AT4 off-road trucks could all be potentially offered with electric powertrains. GM bought the Hummer brand in 1998, peaked sales in 2006 at 71,524 auto's and was down to 4,000 sold in 2010 as they killed off the brand. Now here we are roughly 6 months later and GM insiders are saying that the electric Hummer has been green lighted to be GM's first electric pickup. A boxy style of yore, battery powered selling at the GMC dealerships. This is an interesting move as you have a generation of people growing up with GMC being associated as environmentally friendly and now you can have your EV too. From your 10MPG Hummers of yore to now being part of a $3 billion investment in the Detroit Hamtramck factory for building EVs with the UAW and the new Battery plant with LG, it would seem GM is betting on this new Hummer by GMC EVs to make a go of it. Full size SUVs are also planned. Look for Hummer by GMC at the Super Bowl with a Commercial starring LeBron James selling Hummer by GMC. 8. Found a few more vintage plates where states embraced the same 'outline' concept, but obviously the ability to do so is limited. Firstly tho, who wouldn't want to top their '50s TN plate with another TN-shaped topper?

  14. Yeah...twice a week is not far fetched. I said thrice a week is not far fetched either. Which is not. But...simple math. I know people, many people, that do gas up twice a week. To fill up, in your case, 30 days...would be 6 times. About. So its 60. I said 80 dollars. 60 dollars is still pricey per month for nothing... But...the premise was 10 bucks. And that 10 bucks is nothing. But it aint 10 bucks. And with my twice/week would be 20 bucks as opposed to your fill-up schedule. That would be 720 bucks more over the course of the year for you, but it would be 960 bucks to other people I know... Still...720 bucks, is a lot of coin. Even for people that have no cash flow problems to swallow just to give it to Big Oil just to fill-up their ride to go from point A to point B stuck in traffic or driving in slow in school zones just because their ride takes premium gasoline... In other words, there is no SAFE enthusiastic driving going on with that so called enthusiastic ride that takes premium gasoline... (Unless the daily driven ride is for your job/business then its a necessity more than anything else and no choice but to drive daily that vehicle) Ive had conversations in here regarding car depreciation and how people try to skimp and save. This conversation is no different. People value different things. People like to put their money in different areas. Which is cool. All is good. I aint preachin' my way is better. Alls Im sayin' is that: For me...I dont necessarily value a premium gasolined vehicle for daily driven purposes if I dont have to... To put this conversation in perspective. I put premium in my Acura. I used to put premium in my 2005 Impala SS. My previous ride. Im just viewing this in another angle that actually does not really represent me personally.

  16. Some states just need to be merged with other states to become proper sized states and then there are those that really are just bedroom communities so why bother being a state like NJ. You could cut it in half and put half in NY and half in Pennsylvania. LOL
