  1. "effortless electric burnout" = guitar with no strings = no music.

  2. And I've never been over there. I've just heard about it from exchange students or travelers who have seen this. So I guess it's true. And, damn, it's even funnier when their grammar is quite a ways off!

  3. @trinacriabob @Robert Hall So true about crazy English on Asians. Sometimes I just cracked up walking around back in college in Japan or as I traveled the Asian rim during college breaks and even in the last 10 years for work. So funny that they have no clue what is on their t-shirt, just cool as it is English.

  4. People absolutely are buying that block- it's not from Buick but a Buick-only dedicated aftermarket company. Buick hard core fans support it fully.

  6. OMG- I can buy a reinforced, all aluminum Buick V8 block, improved oiling, able to take much more in overboring, dual-pattern trans capability, can easily handle 1000 HP, for $6200.

  7. It looks like its only the block. Which I missed when I first read the article 2 days ago. I thought you got pistons and cams and everything else that makes an engine an engine for 18 Gs. [ note to self ] I must learn to read more good.

  8. Nissan produced almost 5 million vehicles globally last year..not trivial. About the same as Ford globally.

  9. Nissan would be better off liquidated and sell off the assets for cash and return cash to the shareholders. Nissan/Infiniti have a math problem and a leadership problem and a product problem all at once.

  10. Big Block Crate Motors now from Ford. Godzilla 7.3L V8 Crate 435hp / 475 lb-ft of torque. Some simple modes push it over 600HP https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-6007-73

  13. There were photos of t-shirt and a logo on a truck in Japan some years ago posted on a car magazine site fir KFC—King Fucker Chicken . Apparently it wasn't a restaurant, but a Japanese heavy metal band.

  14. In doing some photo organizing, I found this. (Someone once told me that, in Japan, "young" people wear t-shirts with some random English word on them, just to have something in English on their t-shirt. Whatever floats your boat.) You can see some random things in Europe, too, and here's a fairly goofy choice of words I saw on a Smart for Two in Sicily. This would be funny to most Anglophones.

  15. Yeah, I think the molded spoiler looks waaaaay more suitable for a luxury car. If they want to rip out the back seats, insulation, make a fixed seat and have a hardcore street car like a CLK Black Series(I know that's a coupe), then I'm all for it and I understand. For a fast street car with a full interior and luxury amenities out the @ss, keep it a smaller spoiler. It isn't worse, it's just more susceptible to air transmission(at least that's how i read it).

  16. That's another thing I like about them. They seem to have set themselves up for guaranteed orders for a handful of years so they should have a steady flow of revenue, hopefully covering a lot of costs and not being in the red even if their consumer vehicles aren't taking off right away because, let's be honest, it'll be difficult to move a ton of all electric trucks from a brand new company to those who aren't in-the-know like us enthusiasts. Buuuuut, it's not a Jaguar. That's just like saying you can buy a 460hp Camaro SS for 40k or a 380hp 911 Carerra for 100k. Different strokes for different folks.. But, without a doubt, the 18k block sounds absurd.

  18. It's a big ole wing and I'm really glad it's molded on and not a tacky(albeit functional) raised one.

  19. I REALLY hope Rivian has their sh!t together because that truck seems like an extremely compelling product. I also hope they've gotten the attention of people with money who want EV trucks so they don't fold in 5 years because I think they have the kind of products to enter the market and make a name for themselves.

  23. The '70s era stuff was all around me growing up- I rejected them for older, better stuff. Designed, fitted bumpers, detailed lights & trim. 'Full-flow' body design concept. God; GM pulled off some true modern art in the '60s - unsurpassed.

  24. Ill always do the muscle car version of the vehicle in question when it comes to the muscle car era. One thing the later Colonnade versions have it on the earlier ones is T-Tops. I love them T-Tops. One thing Id do to that 1973 Hurst is Id ditch the vinyl roof and Id very much do T-Tops. I love a 1973 Grand Am too. I just LOVE the rear. From the rear quarter panels and on to the ass of the car.

  27. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I need to look at the birthday list regularly. You are joined by another member, Esther, who never posted a damn thing. (Happy birthday to Esther, too.) About the long, strange trip ... ain't that the truth? I can't believe some of the places I've lived, some of the schools I've attended (and even graduated from), some of the places I've worked, some of the people I've known, and some of the places I've traveled to. "Long, strange trip" might be a way to put it mildly. And many more to you.

  29. Kia has a new iMT manual transmission with higher MPG while keeping those that want to be engaged in driving a manual happy. Seems to be a computer controlled drive by wire manual transmission. Makes me think an fake manual auto tranny. https://www.autoblog.com/2020/06/26/kia-rio-intelligent-manual-transmission-clutch-by-wire/ Happy Birthday Robert. So glad you had a great day during this Pandemic. Continue to stay safe my friend!!! Woof, Woof, Woof to your little Fur kids. WOW, Awesome reading and video review of the 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with EcoDiesel power train. 30. Yea, I understand that, but his art does nothing for me, so paint away I say. To each their own, that is why options are the best. I would take a sexy Jaguar E-Type conversion that they are doing. This sexy body on a modern electric powertrain zipping along.
