  3. No more "dfelt" huh? End of an era I definitely would prefer the horizontal landscape setup touchscreen on the Rivian if it has to be nearly the size of my computer monitor over the vertical portrait setup Ford has with the Mach-e Stang and Tesla for that matter, too obtrusive.

  4. A world of ENDLESS payments for minuscule differences. Poor financial strategy.

  5. Yeah, I could see EVs being commodity appliances. But are enough people willing to drop $40k or more on an unknown brand appliance? Maybe if they are made available as monthly subscriptions/leases... I could see someone 'subscribing' to an EV online, have it delivered to their house, then use it for a period of time (24 months?), subscription is up, it gets picked up and disposed of, a new, improved one is dropped off....just like a phone... strange new world..

  6. That's just marketing... it's on the consumer to determine if they want to pay that price. I understand, though..third party products are often shit. I stick with authentic Apple products (esp. charging cables and power cords) though I know they cost more than some 3rd party shit product. As an aside, one third party product I've bought lately that I've been satisfied with are Anker wireless earbuds..better than the hard plastic ones that came w/ my latest iPhone.

  9. Ooof- that Mach-E interior just ruined the vehicle for me (I think the exterior looks pretty decent as a current vehicle). - - - - - When GM was banging on all cylinders and every brand fought everyone else :

  11. I have a few that I enjoy watching frequently.. for wrenching on money pits: The Kansas guys---they often appear in each other's videos: Hoovie's Garage (maybe my favorite for Tyler Hoover's goofy persona and banter w/ the Car Wizard) Car Wizard Watch JR Go Velocity Garage The Florida guys: Tavarish (good personality, and so optimistic about his wrecked exotics) Wrench Every Day (spin off of Tavarish's channel w/ Jared Pink wrenching) Samcrac (never finishes anything, but always adding high mileage, worn luxury and sports cars from Copart auctions) VTuned Garage (a kid that seems good at fabrication) vehcor is an interesting outliner..very dry presentation, guy doing extensive repairs on ordinary late model vehicles like a body swap on a wrecked Silverado..weirdly compelling. For car reviews, I like The Smoking Tire, Savage Geese and Seen Through Glass.. Others I enjoy are Drive Tribe (related to the Grand Tour) and Vinwiki Car Stories (lots of interesting stories).

  14. Seems ahead of the reveal Monday, the two door bronco leaked. https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/this-is-it-2021-bronco-with-top-off-doors-removed-sand-in.1676/ More Bronco leaked images here: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/mid-day-2021-bronco-and-bronco-sport-teasers.1670/ Hate to say it, while I was excited for this Bronco, it looked dated already. Too Retro. Bummer This so reminds me of the 70's before everyone was trying to save you in your auto. https://jalopnik.com/being-a-kid-was-just-a-little-more-fun-before-parents-r-1844342712 Cool editorial about buying old cars. https://jalopnik.com/is-it-a-bad-idea-to-buy-an-older-model-as-a-daily-drive-1844334210

  15. I can only speak for me in this case. Doing the monthly (and the monthly/quarterly) numbers was an all-day affair as I would be pulling numbers right as they were being announced (or close to it) and posting them ASAP. It was a lot of work and I would feel quite drained. Since I have started the new job, I really don't have as much time to go do things like - hence why you see me sporadicly post a couple of news stories or the odd review during the week.

  16. Toyota Supra Fans should love this, seems the new Supra will get a huge power bump as it takes in the M3 version 520HP motor into the Supra. https://bestcarweb.jp/news/scoop/167434

  17. What party? And the other question is: Your point? Wireless phone chargers are a thing you want to argue against? For Tesla actually making their own and cashing in? Because obviously its too late and time has past them by for them to actually make their own phone charger... Its not as if they never had the know-how to do one....its not as if they havent built a battery charging infrastructure all over the world for their cars...for you to actually question how good their wireless phone charging accessory is... Like honestly David... This is not an "OUCH" moment. And this is not "to each their own" moment either... This is just a flagrant hatred for nothing moment... And honestly...it seems like Electrek is getting paid advert dollars for them to peddle Amazon's shytty products... Made in China no less, shytty products... They casually slip that in there, in hoping nobody notices the blatant shilling...

  18. Mercedes cars cost more than Chevrolet or Kia. Notice that Mercedes is #1 in global market share for luxury brands. Also Tesla is worth more than Toyota or VW and worth worth and GM, Ford and FCA combined.
