Yes. I could see why you would think this way. You are consistent with this view as you dont like the French Bordelo red velour interiors of American luxury cars of the '70s. You think those are overwrought as well. And you would be correct with both views of this Mercedes EV and the '70s land yachts. I, however, prefer overwrought-ness for my luxury cars. I wouldnt have them any other way.

I wonder if the 4 door Camaro is more an answer to the crazy sales of the Dodge Charger than people who bought Mustang, Camaro and Challenger wanting more doors. Agree with you that they should just let the Camaro ride off into the sunset as is with tweaks till they kill it off and use a new name for a 4 door performance sedan. I read today that the Camaro poor sales is due to the style not performance in comparison to the Mustang and Challenger which out sell it. Luxury and being rich is ALL about the excess. There are some excess-es that I wouldnt be indulging in if I were stinkin' rich, like having a butler or chauffeur, but being wrapped in the laps of luxury with French bordelo red velour and leather in my car AND bedroom is very shagadelic baby, yeah!

Spotted on July 23 at a gas station: Beautiful 1987 Caprice Classic. The front fender badge indicates a 4.3 liter (Vortec) V6 with TBI. Its driver told me that he had recently purchased it and had less than 45,000 miles! Interesting color combo. Not one most people would think of. Many power accessories. And a really nice, up-level interior (compared to the more staid standard seats that probably came with this model) to keep you comfortable on a long road trip. I took these photos while my car was being fueled. I couldn't pass on this one. Wow.

But according to you, those kind of 0-60 numbers aren't good enough for everyone else so thanks for confirming the exception being Benz because there is "going to be" a supposed faster version. BTW, it is not jouster the Plaid S that dusts that Benz. It's pretty much every trim of the Model S doing that (they all do better than 3 seconds). UPDATE ON GM's BEV's. Seems according to the Robb Report and Automotive News both are reporting that GM current 2 door Camaro will survive this decade with minimal change as an ICE and a replacement will be a PowerFul BEV Camaro in 4 doors. Yup, 886HP, 0 to 60 in 2 seconds and 500 miles on a battery charge for the 4 door Camaro.
