  1. While I am not sold on the Grand Wagoneer's exterior, the interior is sharp as hell but what really catches my eyes, are the stereo and the maker. Salivating here, is not an option for me. That is my dream build home stereo system maker. Ironically, the system I want from them (The Reference Music System below) probably costs more than a loaded GW. A man can dream though. A man can dream.

  3. Unaware of the issues with the current GM 5.3L and 6.2L engines with cylinder deactivation? If anything, it's proven that all the 'modern computerized tech' isn't making major strides forward at all. - - - - - See, this is exactly the sort of thing that pisses me off. What the hell is this drunken over-correction nonsense? It's a late-change scenario, right? I know EXACTLY what this nonsense is; over-dramatizing to make the 4WS plot line look like it's doing a LOT more / is a lot safer. But it's bullshit, as usual, and it automatically leans me against the proposal because they're overselling it, because they HAVE to, because it just. ain't. all. that... or they could sell it on face value.

  4. The thing is, neither is *actually* comparable to what both make for home theaters and they're GREATLY restricted to what the auto manufacturer will allow. My point was just the statement, "Having it in a Grand Wagoneer does take it to the Luxury Level that even Mercedes has not met yet." Is complete BS.

  5. Never Ignorant, just informed. McIntosh was founded in NY USA in 1949 and is a global recognized symbol of global Audio products. McIntosh Heritage (mcintoshlabs.com) Compared to Burmester that was founded in 1978 and only recently in 7 very high end audio stores has entered the US market. I take nothing away from the push by this company to improve audio, but they in comparison to various intellectual rights are behind McIntosh who continues to lead the Luxury world in audio components. Dieter Burmester Germans tend to stick to Germans so it is not a surprise that MB would say such things about Burmester or Burmester would state what they believe about their audio system in a S-Class. It will always boil down to personal choice and I have spent many a day in the high end audio stores here listening to McIntosh and their lovely speakers and how it moves the air and electrifies what one hears in sending goose bumps, another electrical impulse throughout the body. I admit, I have not heard a complete Burmester system to see if it does that too me. The Amplifiers which Burmester is built on sound amazing. Yet as I said, I have not heard their home audio equipment to say it is better than McIntosh. I have heard plenty of S-class audio systems and they do not impress me. Who knows, McIntosh in the Jeep might also disappoint, but right now just like Bose, I expect McIntosh to deliver on their high expectations to compliment their home audio systems.

  6. I totally agree with you that I have always dreamed of a McIntosh home theater system. Having it in a Grand Wagoneer does take it to the Luxury Level that even Mercedes has not met yet. That is ONE SHARP Interior and STEREO System that Rocks! I love all the images and info McIntosh covers on their stereo system on their site. McIntosh Automotive: The Vehicles (mcintoshlabs.com) Having a McIntosh Electrostatic with traditional speaker system in the auto is just plain COOL! Seems all trim levels of the Grand Wagoneer to Grand Cherokee can have a McIntosh system and speakers.

  7. I feel like this rendering is going backwards instead of forwards. Had this rendering been original released as is back in 2006 or even in with its first refresh in 2011, Id be on cloud #9. But seeing this today...Im disappoint. Its still a great rendering, but its something that we have seen...in 2006. Its just a 2 door version of the 4 door 2006 model that we actually got with a different front end...including what the mags... In 2011, the Charger got a 'fastback' look to it that better emulates the classic '68-'70 Charger. It has kept that body style until today. Only front and back refreshes have been made since 2011 (on the exterior). The front end is nice on the rendering. But somehow Id prefer a front end like that on the Camaro rather than the front end with have on the Camaro today... Imagine a squared off front end with a closed grill and pop-up lights on THIS Camaro... To emulate a '68 and '69 Camaro Z28 On that Charger rendering, the front fenders and nose are sloped too forwards that makes the grill not flow as good. In my opinion. The back end DOES look like the Dodge Charger concept of the late '90s. And I LOVE it both on the concept AND on the rendering!] It works for me! But its just a rendering, nothing concrete of what the next Charger and Challenger will be. PS: Im still waiting for that 'Cuda they promised us 2-3 years ago. They DID if fact trademark the name again...

  8. I keep looking for news and I just found this ... https://jeepusaprice.com/new-2023-dodge-charger-redesign/ The next Charger shown here is shown as a COUPE. Wow?!? As in: "I don't know what to make of this." The front is too retro. I don't like the hemmed in, coved in front fascia. Hideaway lamps are cool, but will they work? The Charger started to look good with the front fascia/grille turning the corner into the front fender with the last refresh. The dual recessed insets on the front door look weak compared to the bigger one right now. The roofline looks too chunky. The rear fascia is much like that old Intrepid-like sketch or model of a new Charger. The light bar is thin and up high, which is okay. Keep the "camber" in it. Again, when the Charger last got refreshed, the rear light bar arching upward toward the center made it look better. As for this sketch, the trunk sill is too high. They keep pushing the release back. We are about 3 years out from the next Charger. So, in the next few years, the Chargers they build ought to be flawless because "practice makes perfect." But, also, I don't think this is it - as in NOT the next Charger.

  9. Don't forget; excellent tow vehicles. I just wish there were more 2-dr pickups, popularity-wise. I used to think I'd revert to a regular cab truck once I stop working, but after 15 years in a crew cab, I think that'll be harder than I think (slim pickings aside). You guys know I like large vehicles, and my GMC has a 157" wheelbase (you can also opt for the CC/8-ft bed @ 172" wheelbase!), but maybe I'm just used to piloting this class of vehicle; I have no issue other than a smidge of attention making hard right turns so I don't curb it. Have to pull a bit farther forward, and cut the wheel a lil sharper. But there's no instances of turning circle or lane changing that 4WS would come into play (tho it sounds like it would on those hard right turns). I'd pass on the option relative to the cost and how infrequent it'd come into play.

  10. Yeah, the Impala was on the small side compared to the Buicks, Olds, and Caddies. The full size pickup really is the modern 1970 full size sedan—BOF, V8, room for 6, huge trunk…
