  1. I love this device for how to block or at least firewall your blackbox. http://www.wired.com/autopia/2013/04/autocyb-car-firewall/ Seems like a simple but proper idea to control who can plug into your auto for the black box data.
  2. Shi* Love this comic book series, they have it in the early stages for production as a movie. I wonder who they will get to play her?
  3. I had to laugh at the pad lock on the rear of the prius.
  4. Sounds like gremlins! Time for that new 2015 Canyon!
  5. This is a private device, so I suppose the police would need a court order to use the data... No? Unless people are stupid enough to post videos of them doing 200mph, and people aren't that supid....... Errrr..... I mean..... Maybe they are that stupid Considering the amount of street racing posted you tube videos, you bet they are that stupid.
  6. Nice Review and update comparison to the 2013 model. Only question is for the 2014, if you had to choose your top 3 things to improve, one of them being the selectable steering feel, what would the other two things you feel they need to address for the 2015 model?
  7. I agree, I wonder just how long this engine will really last before having to be replaced. Then most people will probably dump these before 100K sets in and the auto has all the usual buggy breaking down problems that MB's tend to have.
  8. Leasing for me is a business option, otherwise I see no reason to pay money and not have anything to show for it at the end. I understand that many who like to drive new autos every couple years love to lease and just move to the next great thing, but for me I am a buyer.
  9. Long term it would be nice as I plan to add to it in the near future, but have no problems with it being disabled for a bit. Appreciate the notice.
  10. They would be ok with loosing 80% plus in the first few years of value on a limited range auto? Amazing.
  11. Sarcasm or did they really do this for a specific group of them? I am being totally honest about the letter for engine replacement that GM sent my dad. Had never seen or heard of this before. If Toyota is doing this for a small group of Tacoma's was a reason put out as to why?
  12. Interesting, looks way too small for me, but allot of people will like a MB performance CUV in the compact class that is a step up from Buick. Should do well initially. I wonder how overpriced it will be? Any pricing range announced yet?
  13. Amazing what people will do to fix their auto themselves!
  14. Wow, amazing lack of driving skills or like you said just plain laziness. Interesting to see the ripped off fender flair of the Jeep in your second picture.
  15. My dad still has his garage kept 2005 fully loaded extended cab colorado 2wd with only 45K miles, gold mist color and the 5cyl engine. He keeps telling me it is a collectors and I just smile. He can think that all he wants at 72yrs old. Interesting point is he has an official GM letter that says he can have the engine replaced with a new one at 100K miles. Not really sure why as they do not explain it but he has kept that letter in his complete file on the truck. I wonder if they are wanting the engine back to see how it held up????
  16. Not surprising that those green freaks that have been sitting on the bench would jump at the lower prices plus heavy fed subsidies. Even is gas prices stayed steady, I think we will see a fall off in EV sales as you take care of those that want a luxury golf cart and the rest will go for the Hybrid types like a Volt. The rest of the masses will continue to stay the course IMHO.
  17. Lighting * Very cool that your parents company does that. I love Cigar Boat Racing.
  18. Funny how everyone was fearfull of the blue screen of death when GM started to use a locked down NT kernel version for some software driven hardware. Now we fear the andriod crash of rebooting due to non responding hardware.
  19. This sounds very cool. For those of us that have used laptops to do this, it makes it much easier, but I do wonder if big brother will want to access this info if they use it on public roads. Have to be careful of where one uses it so you do not leave behind evidence if you do something not legal. I could see this on a future Fast and Furious movie where they show recording their street race and then going back to fine tune the auto.
  20. Lucky Duck Drew, that should be so much fun. Looking forward to your pictures and impressions on initial first viewing.
