Howdy all, So will aim to get some photo's posted tomorrow, heading out to the show as it was a late night getting the booth setup since they were behind in getting carpet down and wall built. I did walk around last night and took pictures of the new Jeep Cherokee and have to say that in person this jelly bean is actually really nice and I have changed to liking it now. It was a gun metal grey with lots of metallic and had the off road package. Really sweet. The show this year is amazing, the best I have ever seen it. GM has gone all out and the new Tahoe/Subrburan and Yukon/XL/Denali's are on display which surprised me and the new trucks including the HD 1 ton dually up on a pedestal. I took a picture of the Yellow Mustang and Stingray. They are amazing. The new Spark EV is here and the list goes on and on. Will have to take some breaks so I can walk around and take more pictures.

I have a Toyota Camry Hybrid 2012 and it has the largest opening doors I have ever seen on a car; tall and wide and open real wide. It has more front seat space than my old Lucerne and it was really big. Two problems with this. 1) While it is big for many, I have tried the latest version of Camry and while roomy to a point, it is not for tall people as once I got the front seat so that I was comfortable, no one could sit behind me and I really do not like sitting partially reclined. 2) I support American jobs first before anything else and will buy from GM and Ford as long as they exist to support our country. So Toyota will always loose out. My 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid was made in Georgetown, Kentucky USA!!! Profits and engineering jobs still go back to corp headquarters in Japan.

90th Anniversary of the Seattle Auto Show. October 16 to 20, 2013 Wednesday-Thursday 1 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Friday 1 p.m.-9 p.m. Saturday 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. http://www.seattleautoshow.com/index.php While I will have a CNG booth at this auto show, I do plan to take my DSLR and capture pictures of the hot new auto's. On the home page they list the Jeep Cheerokee as being there along with the ELR. Take a look at the web site and let me know if you want any pictures of specific Auto's. I will do my best to get them. One cool point is the Old Car Collection with a select group of cars from the worlds largest private auto collection. Chevrolet News:General Motors Quietly Drops The Malibu Eco
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Chevrolet
Never understood why they feel they have to move forward with a bad idea/failed technology. I would think it would be cheaper to pay off the suppliers, recycle the parts and move on with better new technology that gets it right. -
Cadillac News: Cadillac ELR Pricing Set at $75,995
G. David Felt replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Cadillac
You seem to smoke so much crack of the German variety that all you can do is make silly comments. Corvette could never be done off the Cruze platform as Cruze was never engineered for the performance Corvette does, etc. As others have already stated, same engines and Platforms are used in the name of synergy. But this is not OK for American Auto Companies to do? -

True, but then they did come out of the gate when they started with a better line up than what Fiat has offered for the last 3 years.- 6 replies

$1500 tune ups and $150 oil changes are enough to make me trade in for something more reasonable. I can see why BMW was forced to go to we cover all your maintenance for the first 3yrs. Only way to get their product to move. I suspect BMW and MB does more leases than any other luxury car company. Would be interesting to stack up the numbers of all the luxury auto companies and see how much is Leases versus Purchasing with the average length of auto ownership. This would give a good insight to who has a more committed customer base I would think. At least from a real ownership standpoint.

Chevrolet News:General Motors Quietly Drops The Malibu Eco
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Chevrolet
Local Chevy Dealership in Kirkland had two of these ECO models with eAssist on sale with a big sign saying save $15K off MSRP. Pretty sad day when you have to discount so heavily an auto and tarnish the reputation due to stupid Executive thinking. -
Cadillac News: Cadillac ELR Pricing Set at $75,995
G. David Felt replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Cadillac
Every company, BMW, MB, AUDI, Lexus uses Low end product platforms from their cousins. As Drew states, if all the visual bits and internal touch and feel bits are the proper top of the line best of the best, no one will give a rats ass about the genetic work of where the power train started it's roots at. -

True, as Diesels and alternative fuels take off with Higher and higher MPG, Hybrids loose out their value. Honda has their Civic CNG which comes fully loaded for $29K and at almost 40mpg, the cost of fueling is half what Petrol is at fast fill stations and if you fuel from home most times less than a $1 a gallon. Hard to justify this, I would rather take a fully loaded accord, convert it to CNG and get the same MPG with more Torque and HP at greatly reduced fueling cost.

Phucking Phablets. Why not put the phone software in Surface Pro use it as a phone? Better yet, use the Dell Precision 6700 - the Russian military tank. I realize that most people fit the So called US average of 5' 8" tall. As such, existing phones are just fine, yet for me at 6'6" tall I have large hands and in playing piano, cover 14 key reach. So up until now 100% of phones are always too small, I hit multiple buttons and it has been hell to use a cell phone. With these Phablets as they are called and you point out, for us with large hands, these are much better and work great. Plus there are many who actually like this 5-6" size phones. I do appreciate your sarcasm,

Land Rover News: Land Rover Defender's Tour Of Duty Ends In 2015
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Land Rover
So yes the Defender has had a long successful run but to me looks very dated. Now we have the DC100 as a starting point for what the New Defender could look like. -
Cadillac News: Cadillac ELR Pricing Set at $75,995
G. David Felt replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Cadillac
No Deep End as I think this is an Excellent Price for the Car. Awesome Green Creds with lovely body lines and a great interior. Excited to check it out once it is on the lot at the dealership. Brad my sales rep at my local Caddy shop told me they have 4 sold already and are expecting it to sell very well in the Seattle area just like Tesla has. Win Win for GM! -
Weird, it looks the same in both the latest versions of Firefox and IE 10. Not sure but maybe my company has added a filter on the firewall. Will try changing some things.

While I know they did it to stream line the auto's for MPG, I will say I miss the lip that used to keep water from coming off the car into the door way.
