Both of these just look wrong. A bad scifi experiment. Saw the first sections of the 56 foot diameter Bore Worm that will build our new overpriced tunnel below Seattle. It arrived last weekend on a massive ship and is being unloaded to be assembled now. Very cool project for Big Iron.

Mini News: Some Mini Models Might Not Return For A Second Act
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in MINI
I agree that some of there models are not worthwhile, to me it seems more of a packaging than a model and they could probably offer the same features in fewer models and have better profitability. It will be interesting to see their lineup in a year. -

So then I still am missing something here as I have to assume this is going to be one of these awesome OHC engines. We have pushrod v8 and v6 engines that produce respectable HP and equal or greater Torque. Yet we get to OHC engines and there is always great HP but a lack of Torque that is at least equal. We know Torque is what gets you moving so why is this engine not able to have 174 HP and 184 pound-feet of Torque. I do not see how these heavier OHC engines are better than a push rod design. To me this is a very non-impressive engine.

Thought we should start a thread for Family Photo's. Came across this one and it was awesome. If you find other family photo's please post them here for Chevy.

This makes one wonder what will it take for the Politicians and the public to finally say enough is enough and not only disband the TSA, but then save the tax payers a ton of money by having a required list of security checks but hold each airport accountable to doing the security screening. I know this will cause increases in prices at some of the smaller airports but should not affect the larger airports. I personally am one to have the airlines handle this. You want to go on Alaska, fine, you go through an alaska security check point. Same with AA or United, these airlines should handle this and I think we would see more common sense. Thoughts?

These pictures have me thinking, it would be nice to take each car company and list all the names they have used on Auto's that are not being used today and then have some of the talented drawers create new versions of selected name plates. A perfect example, if it was not a rebadge job and had survived, what would a modern day Comet look like? Modern Day Chevy Luv, Modern day Pinto????? It would be interesting to see what people think these auto's should look like as well as see what interesting names come up. -
Very Cool, I will be interested to know if the fit and finish has gotten any better since I drove one as a rental from Newark to Princton for a month when I was there on business. How is the get up and go of the engine, give us a list of what is on this AWD CUV. Look forward to hearing about it from you.

History Trivia is always a good contest, such as the top 5 most popular engines for Caddilac or have them list the concept auto for a given century. I wonder how many people would remember the concepts of the 80's that GM or Ford put out. You could also do a Internet Scavaner Hunt for specific items with the requirement that they submit to an email their list of where they found each item. Most accurate would win. I would tend to talor the contests to focus on the prizes you have, such as for the Jeep First Aid Kit, have them list in proper order the wrangler model from 1970 to present. For the Escalade RC, pull into the history of the product line or maybe quize on what packages (various add on groups, IE luxury pkg, entertainment pkg, etc.) have been offered on the escalade since it's begining and what year was the official first Escalade. Hope this helps,

My question to Ocnblu is how is the interior holding up? The controls, fit finish and has yours started to show any rattles or noises during normal driving?

Tesla Announces A New "Revolutionary" Leasing Program
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Tesla
They're doing okay. In March, Model S was the best-selling car in its class, outselling large sedans like the S-Class, 7-series, A8, XJ, and LS; four-door coupes like the CLS, 6er, A7, and Panamera; as well as cheaper midsize sedans like the A6, XF, GS, and M. It's also the best-selling electric vehicle YTD, beating Volt and LEAF. Tesla is delivering 500+ a week now. Are those actual deliveries or to resellers/dealerships? -
WOW, These butt ugly Scuba Masked cars are still on the road????? I am shocked, I thought they all died off about 20yrs ago.

Chrysler News: A Diesel Chrysler 300? Its Being Considered
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Chrysler
Great Idea, Poor execution on the Price. I do think there is a profit grab here and when sales do not materialize, they will say, "See the US does not like Diesels!" But that is not true, we just do not like being ripped off. Great Idea, outlandish Price, equals DEAD ON ARRIVAL! -
Tesla Announces A New "Revolutionary" Leasing Program

This is a ugly mess that will cause more damage than good and except for the upper 10%, I do not see people doing this unless they are that stupid for wanting to drive one of these auto's. -
Speculation, but I think they better have best in class the following 3 engines at least. Turbo 4 banger DI V6 Duramax Diesel 2.9L All should have at least a 6 speed tranny if not an 8 speed.
