    So there is NO SPARE on this car? I see no problem with the DEF tank in the trunk, I would have thought they would have had a access fill spot in the trunk but one that does not keep you from holding packages, etc. Still not a deal breaker for me. Interesting if there is no spare.

    thedriver I have not seen any info about having to give up the spare tire for the def tank and that it is only in the trunk so it has to be empty to refill which really is not a big deal considering you only do this every 25K miles or so. Plus who drives around with a full trunk all the time eating up gas mileage? History NOTE! A fact Rudolf Diesel developed his engine to run on American produced peanut oil. Those farmers in Georgia will be extremely pleased if GM announced that this Cruze can run with their peanut oil. It will be American fueled!     Did you not get the English pop up windows that translated the japan talk to English? Mine showed them and it was funny.

    They were a cool car for the time. In comparison to other chryslers at that time, it was a small car, now I think it is what they call a large car with 2 doors.

    If you go used hybrid then buy the 5yr bumper to bumper warranty and have them replace the battery pack considering a used Hybrid with 50K miles will have a good chunk of the battery life used up.

    I agree with ZL-1 that the lights will be more CTS Wagon than the ugly Trans Sport. Plus with the use of LED lights now, you can do some pretty cool things. Looking forward to it, but if the interior seating does not gain room, deal breaker for me.

    So on first glance it clearly is a jelly bean blob and weird paint job, but then that is probably what they want to hide it's true style till it comes out next year as a 2015 model. You can see when looking at the big pictures that they have given some attitude to the front end with the headlights and hood so I am thinking while it will be a jelly bean shape over all, it will have more defined lines than most people expect. What is weird is that little tail pipe sticking so far out and then flared. Weird.

    So revisiting this as a potential project. I found this web site and they had a Pickup Truck Project they did that is pretty freak-in cool. http://www.thedieselpage.com/features/project2-16.htm I purchased their conversion book: http://www.thedieselpage.com/duramaxconversions.htm It is pretty cool, even a pattern on how to build your new motor base mounts that the Duramax mounts would connect to. They do say for Suburbans, you have to do a 2" body lift for the Allison transmission to fit in properly. Your thoughts on this now?

    I am very excited for this to see if they have fixed the one major problem with the current Escalade, the lack of headroom for those of us that are tall. At 6'6" tall I love my current 2006 Escalade ESV Platinum and yet the current model I cannot fit in as the seat does not go low enough to allow me to sit upright. I do not buy auto's that require reclining. As such, I am very much interested in the seating of the new Escalade. The only thing I have a pass on is the damn high belt line. Do not like the smaller seats.

    Latino rights promoter and famous over acter Ricardo Montalban playing along with Chrysler's not-from-Corinth Corinthian leather. If you think this is just some funny random old car ad, it had a serious, lasting effect on people. Baby Boomers loved the commercial and clearly bought the message. I feel we can learn much from the history of some amazing commercials and what might just be missing from getting people back into transportation. Quality is there, excitement is there, now we just need to find the right message to click for people driving again.

    Jean Reno, is currently working for Toyota to try and get Japanese kids to drive again, particularly sports cars. Noble effort. Also, he's Doraemon, the coolest man in the known universe. So with this effort, what do you think of Toyota's attempt to get youth to drive again and buy cars? Should the rest of the auto makers also spend more time on courting youth to drive again?

    It is a long way from the $25K I spent on my fully loaded LTE Suburban in 93. Amazing part is that Chevy is just as expensive as GMC and I would rather have an AWD compared to the Chevy 4x4.

    I can only assume that this outrageous figure is based on being a total pay to have it done by everyone else. I personally pay no where near this amount on any single car of mine.

    Very cool details, I love that all the engines have real HP along with even bigger Torque that actually moves the ride. Should be great to have Torque monsters like this.

    Saw an awesome mint condition Plymouth Fury III today. It really was sweet for a car that was not a sales hit that I can tell.

    WOW, That really sucks. I am actually really surprised that they have manual adjustment lifters in this day and age. I do not think GM has any manually adjustable lifters in any of their engines in the last 15 years or so. If you do not mind me asking, what does Honda want for a new Throttle Body? I would clean it up and us it as a trade in for that awesome new Encore.
