  1. I suspect that people are not lining up to buy this over priced electric toy. In todays economy, more people are going for function over form and a limited use vehicle like this has lost it's shine. Not to mention, people are a bit shy about trusting an unproven company like Fisker. This whole we can build it any place is a dela tactic due to a lack of customers.
  2. Looking at all the pictures, the new viper has grown on me. I clearly see the Viper DNA is there, the quality of the interior is a throw down to Corvette and any other High End 100,000 dollar performance car. The nicest I have ever seen on the Viper. The Exterior I wish they had pushed the envelope more in being truly Viper, I feel they cross bred the Viper with a Ferrari which I know is truly subjective as some love Ferrari and other do not. I would rather have seen it cross bred with a Lambo.
  3. Beautiful body, but doing a hatchet job with using the rear seat space to have the v8 engine and all the other hatchet changes, it would cost allot more to get it restored back to being close to orignal design. Sad day for this car. Love the color, looks like some light body damange, way over priced. JEERS!!!
  4. WOW, The dash is a chop chop mess, the butt reminds me of Hyundia, The front screams Honda and the C or D pillar depending on how you want to classify it is a major blind spot that idiot lovers of Toyota will buy and ignor and end up hitting other cars. I find people who buy the Avalon and Camry tend to be just stupid of everything else around them. They seem to take no responsibility for checking over their shoulders and mirrors and doing a safe lane change. This car will sell and we will see plenty of bumps and broken body panels. Over all, not sure who the Hell at Toyota seems to have the handle on style, but this is a F+ for Failure.
  5. The XTS will be a selling boom for Caddy to the retiring baby boomers. The pricing I think is just right for these people and with a better driving characteristic, it should also apeal to a younger set too.
  6. I totall agree, they should have used MyLink for the standard on all lines of auto's. Hyper, I also get your point you are making with RWD in snow. But as it should be, we build a better way and we should move forward. AWD is a better way and now we just need to take engineering one step farther to get it to where you get at least the same MPG on AWD as you would for RWD or FWD. Olds thanks for the floor pics, I do think the baby boomers will really like this XTS. I know my dad cannot wait to check it out.
  7. WOW, I have to say I am really impressed as this is a great starter car for many and a great car for low income people. This should really help out sales. Great Job Chevy, I think you truly have hit a sweet point that many people will like about it.
  8. So is the only way to attach pictures in threads is to first add them to your own gallery first and then into the thread you are commenting on or use a link to an outside hosting point? I will admit that adding pictures to a thread is not user friendly.
  9. Malibu = Fusion. Impala = Taurus This has not changed. Keep in mind the Malibu is now Regal size and shorter hence less rear seat room. This car is more XTS sized and will have a lot more interior room. It will also be wider. The interior and trunk will prove to set the size of this car appart. If you ever were in the back of the new Regal and the new Lacrosse you will understand the difference. Thanks Hyper, good to know this as I did not pick it up when I was last on a chevy lot with the older models. Just seemed to be two cars with different names for the longet time that you start to ignor them.
  10. I do not expect the Z28 to ever top the ZL1. The Z 28 will play a specialty model based on the 1LE model would be my guess. It will be a street ZL1 lacking the engine and extra weight. Think Z06. They The key is they have something special planned but just what? 10 years from now they will be Turbo 4 and TT V6 cars with a limited edition [read expensive V8]. The cars will be lighter and smaller. With less weight they will be as fast or faster 0-60 but they will handle better and stop faster. This is one car as long as you don't count cylinders will benefit from the down size. You figure the ATS Turbo is 3200 the Alpha Camaro will be right there with it with only a little more weight for the V6 and V8. Less mass will do wonders when used with the new magnetic suspensions. Thanks for the post, that leaves some food for thought.
  11. The extra cost, the extra weight and the lesser MPG would eliminate 95% of the livery sales. AWD is one of the most over rated items and gimicks on cars today. There are some people who live where it is needed but in most metro areas if you can not get around in RWD or FWD and all the traction aids you should not be on the road. Here in the snow belt we have less AWD cars than in LA where they freak out when it rains. I am all for the companies selling AWD as they make a lot of money on them but the reality is unless you live out in the country or have a really long drive way in a snow belt region there is no need for AWD. These cars are not made for off road like a truck. Now on a Supercar with mega power that is hard to nail down to the ground that is another story. But even then I would want it to be an option and not required. I have to disagree with you, the more I have driven AWD vehicles, the more I am sold on them for better traction in all weather. Yes in the south, they do not need it, but here in the PNW. This saves butts more often than not on a hill with a slick coating of snow/rain.
  12. Vehicle is ok, even nice on the outside from certian angles. The inside I just do not feel. I get this Cheap Plastic feel, down right honest. I get a Pontiac Cheap Plastic interior from the old GM feel on this. I hate the center stack and having the shifter there on the side eating up leg room. Hate the small tiny dials on the nave screen area. The steering wheel reminds me of the Pontiac Vibe. The whole thing just leaves me that they did a technical solid job on putting it together, but a cold I care less impression over all. The A pillar is just wrong. Having to put in a freaking little glass so you can see through a monster of a pillar is wrong in my book. Over all the more I look at this CUV the more I see it as a failure.
  13. Ugly, small taxi that does nothing for NY or it's image. Tends to say cheap to me and with their sewege problem on rainy days, NY can just float away with this ugly vehicle. So much better american options and they choose to send the hard working tax dollars over seas. NY deserves this uglyness with the way they over charge people who visit.
  14. Still reserved on this one, will stay on the fence till I get all the spec and more images.
  15. H'mmm a boring smaller and slower version of the boring Maxima. Was a fan for certain models of the Maxima, but over the years I just have not gotten an Excitement vibe from the Maxima and the same here, no Excitement vibe from the Altima. Just another Baby boomer car.
  16. I like many here am stunned by how nice a car this is. Both interior and exterior are amazing and Likable compared to the bastard child the Impala has been over the years. My question is why now? With the malibu and the rest of the car lineup, I have always wondered by GM keeps this car around and even now that they actually built an amazing looking 4 door, yet how does it really fit into the family? This car is in many ways from the size equal to the malibu. I see this stealing sales away from the malibu family lineup and and taking a few from others. I always thought the Malibu was to compete with the Taurus and now you have people saying this will compete. Does it not seem that Chevy has two cars in the same segment? The one thing I hate on this car is the busy wheels that will be a pain in the ass to keep clean.
  17. Sure will be happy to share what I find at the plant when I go. Depends on the pass as we are still getting dumped on with snow, so the family with ski season ends up coming first before I go searching for car stuff.
  18. The first gen RWD SRX had LEDs, but the FWD SRX did not. WOW, Guess the dealership I have bought all my caddy's from must bring in mostly AWD then as I have not seen anything except LED tail lights. Thanks, I did not know they had two different lenses.
  19. I actually like the interior dash of the GMC better than the dodge as it has more personality where the dodge is very nice but cold to me.
  20. Poor cars, trucks and suv's. But then I guess it does build strength into the auto. If it can survive Michigan, it should survive any place. You got me thinking, I am going to have to drive over to Eastern Washington and see what BMW has going on at their Carbon Fiber plant and test track in Moses Lack Washington. Maybe some new hidden jewels of Carbon Fiber testing going on.
  21. So you are saying Michigan roads are not for cars just trucks and suv's? I know based on pictures that the roads are bad, but I would think the axel should be able to handle a little pounding before the marbles let loose.
  22. SWEET Upgrade to the first generation. This has truly gotten nicer. I am very happy with what GM has done to this baby. Rock in it Buick.
