  1. Many people will consider this a good deal due to the big bump in gas mileage. I think it will do fine and while hard core car nuts like us might not like a forced e-assist system on us, I do agree that all auto companies will be going this route to gain mileage.
  2. Love me some Barracudaaaaaaaaa! Also I agree that Dodge and GM need to go the Raptor route as there is plenty of market left as not everyone will want a Ford.
  3. Very cool car with a ton of potential. This would be fun to drive as is, but would be a hella beauty once it was fixed up or totally restored. Go for it Camino and keep trying till you get the guy to answer the phone.
  4. Good thing it is priced so low, new tires, new engine, being in NJ where they use heavy salt, I wonder just how much hidden rust there is plus why no interior pictures if it is so great. I love the look and the body does look awesome, but would like to see the back side and drivers side plus the interior in the pics. It would help it sell much faster.
  5. Since reaching black was due to cost cutting and gutting of the network, products and marketing, I do not see this as sustainable. I do not see the Suzuki product line as surviving on it's own without a long term tie up with a much bigger auto company or merging with a couple smaller companies to save costs and build a broader portfolio. We live in global times and this is a small pea size company that I do not see surviving as is.
  6. Lack of automatic tranny would also explain the lack of marketing of the dart. Since most in this country cannot drive a manual, but with 70% now being built with an automatic, that should change and I expect it to with the auto being built and shipped out. Lets take the Sept to Dec as a real test of if the dart is a true competitor.
  7. I suspect these auto's are already out of the country and on their way to some other place that could care less if they are hot. If not out of the country, then they are parts by now. Chopped up and sold off as looking at official BMW sites for x6 parts or x5 parts shows things are 4 to 6 weeks out for delivery of parts. I suspect someone thought of a fast way to make a few bucks.

  9. This is a smart move in this politically charged time since the GOP wanted them both dead and the Demo's came to the rescue. This reduces ammo and a mud slinging that could come out of a visit to the companies. Question, if GOP is all about the US, why they hell do most GOP people I know drive German or Asian cars rather than support their country's businesses? Why is the GOP so big about out sourcing jobs to other countries. Could it have something to do with bringing back a cast system to America and keeping people in their spot rather than letting people full fill their dream? As an independent, I feel people should be voting people into a position based on their skill set and not a party agenda. I am all for seperating the VP and P and make all positions individual votes as well as not requiring people to have to choose a party affiliation.
  10. Very true, it might let them sneak in and grab saab, but then we have to be honest and realize that this product line is dead on arrival.
  11. This is so true, my first feeling was that they need to build a luxury car first and then they need to truly make it/market it different than a ford. They have a long way to go before they will be a competitive force in China. Hope they are looking at what everyone else is doing.
  12. Suzuki needs to merge with mitsu and mazda, this is one company that also has a sparse portfolio and while the few products are pretty good up to a point, they could use working with a larger group to lower costs and improve/expand product offerings.
  13. One they need to drop the price ASAP even if it means taking a bigger loss to get more of these cars out there. Prius currently has a large lead on the volt and if they plan to get more market share, they need to do the same at toyota and jump in with lower prices to move inventory and take market share. Two, they need to roll out this technology to more models sooner rather than later. If they had a volt drive train on a minivan that could handle 5 or 7 passengers they would truly sell more. A 4 person auto is very limiting. Three, they need to pump up marketing of the volt and made in the USA to get this selling more.
  14. What does GM and the European Union not get about over production? Two weeks shutdown will not correct the glut of assembly space and the lack of customers. They need to close down at least 2 assembly lines and lay off the workers. I would hate to loose my job also, but then do you have a whole division close and everyone looses their jobs or do you cut back to what is sustainable?
  15. Why does this give me the feeling that the whole Toyota / subaru coworking agreement is going to water down to dull boring styling for Subaru.
  16. Sounds like you need to change careers my friend. It is calling your name.
  17. Sounds like a lack of truck sales to me.
  18. My desktop is covered in Lavendar right now, I let BING desktop take me all over the world.
  19. Beef Steaks
  20. DuraMax are the Bomb! Those rock sir and you should post some photo's of your beast. I still dream of having the funds to convert my 94 suburban into a duramax beast.
  21. Not a bad work truck, though I wonder what other hits it has taken considering the passenger side dual fender is all messed up.
  22. Interesting that they seem to be wanting to make the steps from entry to mid to top of the line for each product line clear. This does go with a common sense approach of showing your customers how to move up from their first to a second purchase of a bmw. I wish more auto company would stream line their product lines to give clear steps of getting from entry to mid to high to performance level models. GM could use a complete redo on marking their models as it is not that simple to tell which is which.
  23. So in searching on more info, I came across the UK and Euro mags covering this car. They all say Trident has signed with GM to use the 6.6L Duramax Diesel Engine and Allyson Tranny in the car, reprogrammed for total performance. WOW That is allot of weight in a supercar. So the engine weights 835lbs, the tranny weights 330lbs. That is 1165lbs of engine/tranny on the front axle and mid section. I think it would be hard to get a 50/50 distribution for perfect balance in a supercar, but then maybe I am wrong or missing something.
  24. Trident announced it would finally show its production-ready car in public next month -- the Trident Iceni Grand Tourer, a diesel-powered machine that should hit 200 mph while returning 69 mpg on a variety of fuels. http://autos.yahoo.com/blogs/motoramic/diesel-powered-british-supercar-trident-icini-promises-200-200130777.html While very cool, the $119,000 price tag will keep this to the upper 5% of earners. Cool looking car.
  25. OK, either I have totally missed how this interface works or because I do not use a hosting service for pictures I just am not able to upload pics. I know I asked before and was told there was plenty of space to upload pics with comments, but how do you guys get pictures uploaded from your computer to the forum. Only way I have found is to put it in my media, but then I end up with a link rather than the pic or are you guys uploading to "My Media" and using the url to the pic there to post in the forum?
