While the concept might sound coo to be able to switch between FWD, RWD and AWD. But does anyone really need that? The Electric scooters are very Funky. Guess you can always drive to where your kids are at and then give them one to get home? Over all I do not car for the inside and for the most part am not feeling this!

Yawn, the pictures just do nothing for me. Not sure why but for me this car just does not get me excited. Nothing to rev the auto blood.

Yea that is allot of glass, but the opening just seems small in comparison to the amount of glass, I expected it to open much bigger.

No when ever someone replied to one of my post, I could hover over the notifications and it would pop open and I would then right mouse click to open it in a new tab. It does not do that now. I also tried responding to a post in the new Teaser thread on the Dodge trucks and it errors out saying you cannot use the smiley faces that had been previously used. But when I went to the forum and list new and then replied I could reply to it with no problem compared to replying to the thread from the home page.

This is good to read, I have been worried that Jeep will get dumbed down to stupid FWD/AWD CUV and not be real off road Jeeps.

I think what MB could not get with the Chrysler purchase they are finally doing in house and we will see a wide range of Econo Sub compact to luxury S series. I wonder how it will play out in the US. The rest of the world is used to having chevy versions of MB plus their high end luxury. Will be an interesting next couple of years for MB.

Not a huge fan but I do have to say what I see is nice and I like the way they incorporated certain things like the rear door handle.

hyperv6 I would agree with you on the alignment of GM's vehicles to better compete with what is out there rather than being in an ackward mid spot. I do not think they actually have to change size as much as just market it to let people know what they are competing against. In regards to the Suburban, I think both 1/2 and 3/4 ton versions can survive, but we will have to push the use of Lightweigth High strength steel and composites. Plus I think you could better use the Hybrid technology in the Tahoe by putting it into a Suburban. Over all, They could realy extend the life and have a LARGE pick up in sales if thy gave us our 4.8 L Duramax with 6 speed Allison tranny in a Suburban. Ton's of people who pull RV's, horse trailers, etc would love to get a new Suburban with a diesel.

Guess BMW's way of getting people ready for the over heavy hand of politicians telling people what they can drive. Gotta protect you from you even if you did not ask. Not a happy camper on the overly heavy regulations.

Notifications used to pop open a window and allow me to select the new ones to open in a new tab, I now have to open the notifications first before I can open the actual response from others. Is this part of the changes or a setting that was reverted back due to the software upgrade?

It might gain small amount of weight, but I think all manufacturers, not just GM, have gotten religion about vehicle weight. Why would we not see GM push out using lighter high strength frames and body composite panels to reduce weight. I think over the next 10 years that we could see as much as 500lbs dropped in auto's due to the use of composite and lightweight high strength steel.

I wonder with all the chrome, I have a hard time thinking v6, I wonder if a SRT8 or SRT10 could be shown for the truck crowd.

I think there will be plenty of ways to make this little car fly wih after market parts.

The NY auto show will be interesting to see what people think if it was the right move to go back to being bland or if they should have held onto the more edge nose design.

I have to disagree, we will not see them die off as much as they get reduced to a niche player. Way to many needs that the Suburban/tahoe line handles that smaller SUV/CUV's cannot do.

Uh, no. The inline six is more balanced and smoother than a V6 or V8 for that matter. I've driven the non turbo straight six in a BMW, it is fantastic. We are not saying that is not a true fact of the BMW inline 6, just like I thought Jeeps and GM inline 6 were amazing motors. But one has to realize like Balthazar stated, perception is that a V6 is more modern than the Log of an I6. Marketing has done their job. You would not believe the amount of people I have run into that wonder how BMW has survived with old I6 engines. Course their Marketing effort has focused on the driving machine, over all car peception, but there are still those that wonder about the engine.
