  1. Ugh, Would rather have a Jeep SRT8 over this ugly jelly bean.
  2. So would the Chevy 130R be the right competitor to this bad boy?
  3. Yes, some pin head actually thinks people have forgotten all marketing and common sense and are willing to follow their lemmings naming structure.
  4. I think that they will want to recapture as much as possible of their existing investment, so sadly I think it will be as cubical has stated, a rebadge job. Yet I think they will spend some time on making the rebadge as individual as possible. I think most of the auto industry has learned that poorly executed badge jobs do not survive.
  5. To me, I say they use this name on their new SUV. That would sound fitting. I cannot see them going away from their normal naming system for a car.
  6. H'mmm it would be interesting to see this on the Rubicon trail. Does it have the guts to go up against the Jeep Rubicon and could it survive?
  7. Some day I will join you guys for cruise night. Right now I am on day two of a new job so for now no time off built up yet, but at least I did get a full time job finally. I will look forward to seeing pictures of this years cruise fest. I totally understand about the MC's and with your current job situation. I hope things are looking up for you. Take care, best of luck on the job search, I konw there is a job waiting for you that is just right to meet your needs.
  8. Yea bring up a valid point as I know my driving habits do not reflect the supposedly true epa of my vehicle. I average 13MPG on my Trailblazer AWD SS and it is rated much higher, but I never get that milage in real world driving.
  9. I totally agree with you, I have a hard time truly believing that the MK? is gaining traction compared to many of their old names. This sounds like someone is trying to self convince the powers that be that the MK? is a smart move when in reality it is anything but. Lincoln will have growth since they killed off Mercury but will always be a smaller player going against Acura, Buick, etc. They are not playing the game right if hey think they can challange MB, BMW or Caddy.
  10. Sharp looking little 2 door. I remember the old Scirocco that was here in the US was very popular. I am sure there are some that would love to get this car here and then sup it up. The Diesel Alltrack would be a smart move to have here also since VW has a pretty good name for diesel cars.
  11. +1 to the 100th There seems to be so many blan generic none effort designs that it is sad to see how many lemmings there are in the auto industry. The true winners will be the ones that can actually gain performance and fuel efficiency why pushing the true boundry of auto design. I believe we can still deliver stunning auto's without the bland Brick or Jelly bean design.
  12. I would tend to agree that with advances in engine efficiency, that this will hold more people off from buying a hybrid, but as they do get the price down, I suspect we will see all vehicles tend to move towards a version of hybrid power. This is based on the amount of torque and off the line movement gained from electric engines. I truly believe the next 10 years will show us some amazing advances.
  13. I not only have to disagree with you, but I find your statement to be totally arrogant! Yes AWD helps those that do not know how to drive or are very conservative drivers handle bad weather. Be it a heavy rain storm, snow, etc. Yet for those of us that have learned how to drive in bad weather from Ice storms, to compact snow and ice in the mountains to a heavy flash flooding storm, Having good driving skills and adding a bit extra of traction allows you to become an even better driver. If you live in a relatively flat Midwest or South and your biggest challenge is a mild hill, then FWD or RWD with Traction control or even without should be easy to handle for the rare snow. But get into true hills with a 45 degree incline/decline or greater and added traction is required and AWD can make the difference of being successful or failing and running into other people's property. Do not judge a person by their ability to afford AWD, doing so short changes yourself and shows narrow vision and thinking.
  14. Saw an old 50's era chrysler in my neighborhood that someone has in their front yard, will have to snap a photo and post for review.
  15. I am not saying it will not be a fantastic car, but where you love the style of Ferrari, I do not like it at all. I think Lambo is a far better style. VIPERS instill fear in others, This version of the VIPER should use all the technology to build a world class driving car, but keep the style to one that instills fear in others by saying I am not gonna mess with him. This current style is nice, but it does not instill fear. It does not say "Don't Mess with Me!" I get this I can beat most cars and I have no problem racing, but you might win. IMO That's because you can't hear it. Hearing has nothing to do with it, I am sure every one of us once we hear the burble of that Viper Motor will love the sound and feel the energy course through our vains. Yet the Style is subjective to a persons likes and my use of the Lambo is not for crossbreeding, but as an example of how they should have pushed the body design further. It seems to me they were pushing the envelop and then some freaking Honda jumped in bed and blanded it down to the level of a Ferrari.
  16. Hey Frogger, There is no slope side accomodations at Stevens, but you have some great choices in Leavensworth, WA about a 20 min drive down the east side of the pass. The German based town has some great Micro Brews and awesome German Food.
  17. Gotta love a cold wet spring for skiing and boarding. We have been dumped on the last few days and the riding does not get any better.
  18. +1 Agree! I totally agree with this, the best thing about photography is the time line you have. It is amazing to come back to the same spot year after year and take a picture and see the changes when you compare year after year photo. You can do this with sound, but does not seem to me to convey the same big impression as a photo. I have often thought it would be cool to capture a picture every 3 months so you can see a even better detailed change of the area.

  20. H'mmmm BMW supposedly the ultimate driving machine and yet 1500 services and plenty of recalls and breaking parts makes me have 2nd thoughts about German Engineering being better. My Friend and CTO of Dataram Jason has an M3. That nice looking bad boy is amazing to drive when it is running. Seems it spends plenty of time in the shop for parts failing and then they have to wait for them to be shipped in from Germany. Lucky for Jason most things seem to have been covered under warranty, but then the amount of time he is without his car is still surprising. One Kudo to BMW, at least the dealership here, makes sure your free loaner is the same model you drive, so he still has an M3 to drive like mad. This unlike the caddy dealership which I have bought plenty of auto's from always takes care of me and I have no complaints about them being 5 star. Just why a CTS AWD when I bring in my Escalade ESV AWD Platinum. It would be nice to keep driving the same auto. I will say this, Service on American Luxury is mucho cheaper than on German Luxury.
  21. Sad to see people who had passion for exciting cars passing on. Hopefully he passed his knowledge onto his own kids and others who have been inspired to create amazing vehicles. RIP Grumpy!!!
