  1. No, We do not need a stupid looking room lossing coupe based Escalade. Leave it to the losing stupid Germans my ancestors that were too stupid to take on the world via economics and used mass murder and war to destroy the world and then stupid socialism to try and control it. Coupe Escalade is a No, Never, should not even be thought of. Sorry my friend, but hell no to the Coupe Escalade idea!
  2. OK, I give ya the mule test auto from Toyota, Toyota 86 EV And for those that want an ICE Version, properly V8 powered. Monster 86 Nothing like putting in a Proper LS3 Engine with a base mode of 430HP, big jump over the 200HP from the default power train 86. @A Horse With No Name This is way better than the politician even on a stormy wet day!
  3. But is the Honda not just one big door rather than two different size Stagecoach doors? Much like how the 70's and 80's station wagons were? I loved that feature on my parents Delta 98 Station Wagon.
  4. I have only had two fords in my life, 1969 Camper Special that I inherited and loved till the day I sold it as my career took off and I had to relocate to california and was not going to take the truck and camper and my 1991 Ford Escort GT that I bought new. Loved that Mazda Built Pocket Rocket. Was great till the Wife got rearended in it and it was totaled. But other than her neck injury, she was over all safe and uninjured. Since then every time I have tried to buy a ford, the sales people and poor quality have pushed me away. I would totally do this and focus on releasing an AWD Escalade EV that could put a line in the sand much with how Chevy did with the Bolt!
  5. OK, Cool Factor is there and the ease of dumping stuff and not having to clean out the tail gate gape is cool, but from a commercial stand point, I wonder how many will get broken, bent, etc. and not be able to close and then you have people using rope or bungee cords to keep it somewhat closed. Plus I hate that the body lines are already off from the sag of the doors. For an SUV, I love stagecoach doors, but for the Pickup Truck, I am truly on the sideline about this.
  6. Toyota Sport 800 from 1965 to 1970 would be a fun cool car to play with. http://www.classicandperformancecar.com/toyota/sports-800/4354/1965-1970-toyota-sports-800 Toyota could give Miata a run for their money or maybe Mazda got their clues from this for the Miata.
  7. ATTENTION BMW: Coupe based CUV and Sedans are DEAD! People are tired of the loss of rear headroom, the overall design is blah and uninspiring. Plus have you looked at your recent sales numbers? They suck for the X series of Coupe based CUVs. Hello, Anyone still awake with a brain and not strung out on hallucinogens?
  8. See that makes no sense and I honestly feel they are going after money grab as when I bought my EGO Power Tools, I bought through Amazon where I got a superior deal on getting the Mower, Trimmer and Blower at one time with the 3 batteries and chargers. All work great, a 2nd 56 V 7.5 Amp battery was only $150 then and that was 2 years ago. Now $348 dollars plus 10 bucks for shipping so $358 is just crazy. I know they want to keep their prices higher and I think Home Depot one of their biggest retailers for their products have always just doubled the price so I feel EGO is matching to just take the higher profit. I do not blame them but also have to point out this keeps people from moving to EV when you over price your product. https://www.amazon.com/EGO-Power-BA4200-Lithium-Ion-Equipment/dp/B01FAW5GWY Crazy that I spent less than a Grand for all 3 and now it is about 400 more than I spent 2 years ago. I wonder also if the Holidays are playing a part of higher prices. Crazy, I do like their new Snow Blower, talk about quiet.
  9. You will love the mower, you can even mow early in the morning and no one hears you. I have done it early while the wife sleeps, then get cleaned up and take her out to breakfast and have the rest of the day together. Since I am further north, our summers have full daylight before most wake up, so I have not ever had to use the LED lights on the mower, but did try them out one evening and it was cool to see how bright the yard was. Pretty awesome mowers.
  10. Fisker Claims 400 mile range, 9 min recharge time for new Graphene & Solid state battery! Seems they are talking about a battery around 130kWh in size. They also are saying they will show off their new XFC charger at CES They wrap this up by saying they will be the first with Level 6 autonomous driving. Makes the term road rage a whole new thing, AI Road rage?
  11. So my EGO power mower cuts my .25 acre lawn and still has power left, I then use it on the blower to finish cleaning up and put it on the charger. Battery fully charged in 60 minutes is no big deal considering I have the yard done and so recharged to have it ready for the next use. Love their battery AI tech.
  12. Gotta say, finding Her Presentation makes a whole new impression on GM's EV focus. MaryBarraGMPresentation-11-15-2017.pdf So interesting to see their focus: So this chart and what is in the presentation seems to imply 5 crossovers, 7 SUVs, 2 minivans and a couple cars? Thoughts?
  13. I hope not as one of the things that I love about the bolt is the triple seals on the door and the vault like solid nature of the auto and how quiet it is. If only they would drop or give an alternative color to that damn white V accent, my wife would say lets buy one. Happy Wife, Happy Life!
  14. @Drew Dowdell When your ready for a new EV Mower, check out EGO Powertools. Love their 56 volt mower, easily handles my .25 acre plus lawn and still has power to spare. https://egopowerplus.com/products I agree that the GG1 was ahead of it's time, now is time for a 21st century version which I think is EV Locomotive with LNG powered Generator. I can see a PHEV with a Hydrogen generator like what GM has put out in concept form, just the tank size is holding it back and of course the expense of fueling station.
  15. EGO Powertools Baby Love their 56 Volt backpack 600cfm blower. https://egopowerplus.com/collections/power-backpack-blowers This is the technology that I see being incorporated into auto batteries. The AI technology that move power around the cell's to keep every cell in tip top shape so one does not have to think about a dead cell. Auto Battery Tech with AI that can handle keeping all power cells in service is what will remove battery issues that some on the forum fear is a big draw back to EV auto's.
  16. Awesome news to hear they already are working on EV platform 2.0 and have plans to have it profitable. This is outstanding news.
  17. Not wanting to go political, but just pointing out the obvious. Truth guys which is why I really believe we need term limits and age limits on running for office. Fear, Alzheimer's and Dementia happen commonly at age 60 and above. Currently we have all 3 along with Narcissistic incompetence voted in by the very same fearful ignorant voters. Currently Fear of change is attempting to roll back gains for a better planet and better health for all by a minority group of extreme wealth.
  18. It is amazing the amount of towing capabilities we put on cars compared to the CUV / SUVs of today.
  19. Very cool history of Japan building in the US with pictures showing models that were sold here but I never have seen. All started in 1958, Toyota's first product was a dud. https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/news/made-in-america-japanese-car-making-in-the-usa/ss-BBEJHfp?li=BBnb7Kz#image=1
  20. Totally agree with @daves87rs as it is a sharp looking compact CUV with a very nice interior. Sadly the price to ratings will hurt more than help the sales I think. I agree that they should compete with Hyundai Tuson on price and work on the quality.
  21. Very exciting, we are in a renewal that will pull in the Millennials I believe into the auto ownership world and driving around as many start families and have a life altering experiences.
  22. This should be interesting, hopefully it does not look weird in an extra length version. After all the Trailblazer / Envoy had an extra length version that did sell but not in the expected numbers just to have a 3rd row and extra storage space. Then again Lexus owners are a little bit strange.
  23. Like the computer industry and Moore's Law that explains the doubling of computer power every 24 months, battery technology is in the early days of where CPU technology was in the 90's and we have blown way past that. Battery tech is also ramping up fast from Air batteries and the first one to prove 1,100 miles on a single charge to various other forms. What happens over the next 2-3 years will truly change the way people live life and get around. http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/130380-future-batteries-coming-soon-charge-in-seconds-last-months-and-power-over-the-air This story is recent and covers the whole battery industry, the various options and the amazing size and density that is just now going to production. Samsung has finalized a solid state battery that will out last their current Li batteries by a factor of 3. If we did not have the Internet and the advanced technology we have today, I would agree with Balthazar that we are looking at 50 plus years to transition much like how the auto industry started from 1876 to 1915 when ICE auto's clearly won the battle. Yet we no longer live in a years to get info out to humanity and I actually expect this to change much faster than many here will realize. Look at how fast people change phones, computers and just about everything else. Humanity likes to have the best, sooner and faster than others the Jones - Jones competition will allow a faster change over to EV's than the PHEV has done. Simpler, less maintenance cost and easy to use as it blends with today's modern technology. We know it is not a matter of if but when. I believe the start is this year 2017 and by 2030+ we will see a majority of new auto's be EV and the death of new auto sales from ICE will be over by 2040-2045. Few Charts to show the growth:
