  1. Even the M3 that is considered their best and most dependable and desireable car is not something I would ever want or wish on my enemy. My best friend had one and it spent more time in the shop under warranty than at his house. He finally traded it in on a AMG that also ended up in the shop more than at his house, he went to Porsche and ended up buying an Audi as he said both the Porsche and Audi were more dependable than the BMW or AMG. Sad state of their quality.
  2. Just confirms it is another butt ugly Jelly Bean shaped CUV.
  3. Be interesting to see how this and Ferrari do with their CUV's.
  4. Gotta love these MAN auto's tied up like Elephants getting through the mud.
  5. Unions will probably resist as they do not want change as it could affect their golden goose.
  6. The continuation of Bland Design language based on the Bland Jelly Bean and coupe everything BS crap. Again, the lack of creativity is freakin amazing.
  7. LOL, we have some in the older neighborhoods, but due to the extreme wind storms that come off the pacific ocean, the push since the early 90's is that all new construction has to be underground. Also starting in the late 90's the push by Washington to harness the wind and sea has created big farms of green energy, so you can also offset your rate with adding green energy request. I do not do this for multiple reasons but the biggest is you are subject to brownouts compared to everyone else that is on pure hydro power. For the couple cents, until I remodel my house and do the whole roof solar with storage and then I will go totally green as I can survive with my battery bank.
  8. Errors seem to be big considering the duplication of systems across multiple auto's and how some scored worse than others. Clearly makes me wonder about how unbiased the testing was?
  9. Doing it the way you say to do it Drew, I came out with: $00.10002796420 per kWh cost.
  10. WOW That is just one big mess and me think the unions is just as much responsible for the mess as the mgmt.
  11. Forgot about the city tax I live in but my rate still came out to a flat 10 cents per kWh. Will post a pic of my bill to show we have cheap electric rates here. One reason the Aluminum industry and recycled steel industry is here, cheap power to make their product.
  12. Moron cannot seem to figure out how to stop wasting money on non-profit items and build up those that do bring him the profits to waste on the Italian crap. FUV can die with the rest of F.
  13. 6 cents per kWh is what shows up on my bill before the state and fed taxes. Washington has always been one of the cheapest in the nation for electric rates. So just looked at my local PUD bill that came in and with figuring in the taxes here, the rate comes out to .0943 cents per kWh.
  14. I usually use on the plastic bits Meguiar's black plastic restorer. Works pretty good and usually can find it online pretty cheap. You can also use Armor All Trim and Plastic restorer. Both work great at giving you a black black trim. Very clean.
  15. Totally expected and a waste of time unless VW really keeps all the buckets seperate then ouch for Audi.
  16. I understand that, yet with Europe pushing now to pretty much kill off Diesel as well as China, I could see them slowly wind down and close VMMotori. I would have to question if they can recoup R&D costs as they move forward especially after 2020 when we have a much bigger selection of EV's on the market and Hybrids. I would not count on it, I think if it comes it will be delayed till they make sure they have their existing 2018 models certified and out the door and even then depending on how things take off over the next couple years in EV / Hybrids, a diesel version could get shelved. After all GM worked many years on doing a 4.8L Duramax for the Suburban line and then ended up shelving it.
  17. @Cmicasa the Great Seems wall street is loosing it's patience and the luster of Musk as there are multiple stories out today about being time to reevaluate Tesla as it trades 67 times yearly earnings. http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/the-truth-is-catching-up-with-tesla/ar-AAt1RxU?li=BBnbfcL Truth is catching up to Musk and Tesla. If they cannot start building in volume by the end of the year as they are burning through 1 billion a quarter with 20 billion in debt already and still no solar roofs other than executives who got them after the solar city purchase of his cousins company, Tesla could end up caput since the other OEMs are now focused and paying attention.
  18. The slow death of Diesel. I suspect once FCA fullfills their engine contract with the supplier, diesel will be gone from the Jeep and low ram lineup. Hybrids will replace them I suspect.
  19. Agreed, you are right in regards to using steel wool on chromed plastic and I would not do that but the question of using a cleaning product such as a wax cleaner or liquid chrome cleaner is not a problem for Chromed plastics. In regards to using today's multiple liquid options of cleaning chrome grills that are chrome plated plastic, you can do this without a problem.
  20. @trinacriabob Howdly, long time no post by ya, glad to see ya back. Chrome is chrome be it plated on Steel or Plastic so you can use just fine chrome cleaner. Also as stated by many wax companies if you are worried about a thin chrome plating, then just use your standard wax cleaner for the paint job and the chromed plastic bits. Meguiar's makes both a good wax cleaner and chrome cleaner. More important is to make sure you do not get the cleaner on your rubber parts as it usually does not come off and you have marks on the rubber then. Your grill is a plastic grill, but it is chrome plated and so chrome cleaner will work on it just fine.
  21. Toyota took the easy way and quickly built an EV Van. Inner City Service companies should love this as well as gov agencies and families that need seats but not allot of miles. Cool, GM would be wise to build SURUS as an EV platform and get some vans in production.
  22. WOW 6,344 models is damn good for such a tiny country with minimal off road areas. Cool, way to go Jeep!
  23. This auto Rocks This is what I believe the Millennials will end up buying and getting excited about auto's again. Very cool stick shift with the Power button for the car in the handle.
  24. WOW, Multiple stories that have Tesla having hand built a ton of parts to allow them to get the Tesla 3 into productions and now that major problems have shown up, Tesla is redirecting money to get the parts auto assembly built so they take the human error factor out. Parts that will be replaced in ALL TESLA 3 models are as follows: Headlights Tail lights Front and Rear seats Battery Packs The rest of the parts are smaller components according to company insiders as Tesla focuses on only delivering these prototype cars to the employees who will have to deal with numerous changes as production parts come online. Seems the Gigawatt production line is also way behind in producing enough battery packs for the Tesla 3 as they also struggle to keep up with demand for the model X & S. electrek story Guess my statement about talking to a major OEM about ramping up production might just have been true is Musk could get over his ego. This could also totally explain the non-working FM and internet streaming from the car, needing to WiFi your smartphone to the car to get any music to play. Interesting
  25. Musk Tweeted last night a delay in the Semi-truck of a few weeks to divert money to fixing the Tesla 3 mess since less than 260 cars have been produced and they were supposed to be up to 1500 a week by now. Guess Musk should have talked to GM about EV Production.
