In talking to a number of Transmission Mechanics, I have yet to hear a single one say they preferred a CVT over a true Gear transmission other than the simplicity of rebuilding. Geared transmissions are superior as CCAP41 mentioned in regards to getting more power and holding strength over CVT to the wheels. Efficiency is questionable in regards to CVT compared to a Geared transmission.

Why, Why WHY? Ricers will love it, but ugly as they come and what the hell is up with having big ass holes on the nose of an auto in the lower corners? VW, BMW, MB, Toyota and Now Honda have all copied this same stupid look.

Great now MB latest auto pulls that same huge holes on the lower corners of the front end, blah coupe look. In fact the VW and MB look more alike than the BMW now, but all three while nice looking auto's also show a huge LACK of Individual Style!

From the lower corner front nose grill openings, to the coupe design, shoulders over the wheels, I see enough similarities between the two. To each their own.

We'll I agree to disagree, as when I saw this VW, I clearly saw this in my mind. VW BMW

We'll Carbon Copy is a complement. Rebadge BMW with a VW Grill. Nice, but nothing original. Dash, just another BLAH uninspiring dash. I will grant that this is the best looking VW auto they have done and the only thing that actually has some very nice style even for a clone of a BMW.

Jeep News: Jeep Wrangler Pickup Pushed Back To 2019
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Jeep
Nothing New Here, FCA is dying and I doubt will come up with the cash to bring out new models as they waste billions on their stupid Italian brands. -
Schools delayed, heavy traffic all for a dusting of snow around Seattle. Gonna be a nice Cool week with plenty of mountain snow.

Seems for the first time ever, Chevy Cruze beat all the Asian and German compact cars. Consumer Reports says the best compact to buy is the Chevy Cruze, beating the long time leaders from Honda and Toyota. http://www.consumerreports.org/cruze/2016-chevrolet-cruze-review/

Wonder if GMC will get a Syclone then since the ZR2 is back for Chevy? After all the TTV6 would be awesome in a new Syclone pickup truck AWD.

Chevrolet News:Rumorpile: Dont Fret. A New Camaro Z/28 is Coming
G. David Felt replied to William Maley's topic in Chevrolet
The story is spot on, Ford as it stated has built an outstanding motor and yet there is so much more to it than just the Crank. So many other far more important parts that contribute to the performance than just the over hyped / marketed Crank. -
Cool, looking forward to seeing a pic or two of the final work.

WOW, Talk about a Range Rover that got stepped on and is now squished! Also MINIMALIST, you can say it with me. CCAP and all the other electric touch feedback haters of Cadillac will really hate this MINIMALIST dash. Everything is pretty much touch screen like a Tesla with only a couple dials. Seems the day of the buttons, switches, dials, etc. have truly come to an end with Range Rover. Over all, really does not look much bigger than the Evoque on the interior. Be interesting for those 2 extra inches to see how well this will sell and what peoples reaction will be to the dash.

Chevrolet News:Rumorpile: Dont Fret. A New Camaro Z/28 is Coming

Plus MB does this across their product range on their modular platform from Cheap Eco box's to their luxury level, so why should GM not also maximize basic foundation investments in the platform. They already are night and day different in style, interiors, etc. -

Are you afraid that Chevy just might actually make a real push into being a complete competition with your vaunted MB? After all Cadillac is focusing on pure Luxury only something MB used to do only in the US, but MB is no different than Chevy in Europe. As such, if MB can play in the 20K market, why not Chevy in the 100K market or higher? No reason not to make Chevy a truly Global brand that covers from Eco entry to luxury just like MB.
