Opening Bid is $90,000 and for this you get the world famous Oldmobile Rocket V8. So would you buy this piece of Auto Comic history?
  2. G. David Felt Alternative Fuels & Propulsion writer www.CheersandGears.com Reading this on Motor Trend and I have to ask when will this ugly CUV Coupe fad end? http://wot.motortrend.com/1412_bmw_x6_fighting_mercedes_gle_coupe_prototype_shows_lots_of_skin.html With stated AMG version using a twin turbo V8 engine, this brought up many questions for me to wonder about. Is the big engine V8 powered CUV / SUV's going to become the sole domain of Trucks or will the governments rewrite the spec to force the death of V8's? How does this offer any real benefit over the more traditional CUV/SUV? Can the market really justify / afford to support so many niche auto's? Does this tend to give view into what could cause future money waste and force MB and BMW to have to pare back their product offerings once the market stops buying the less than useful niche products? How does a Jelly bean style fit into MB style language as this seems to be generic looking and stand out at the same time? So many questions and no real clear cut answer. WHAT DO YOU THINK? Will this be a winner for MB or more of a distraction? Sound Off!
  3. So it will be a 62 mile range in pure electric only mode. YAWN, The VOLT beats it there. The only thing that would be better is if they really deliver on offering this power train in all models. GM needs to role out the VOLT powertrain to CUV, SUV, Full size SUV and Pickups and cover FWD, AWD and RWD models. No reason not to move to this powertrain sooner rather than later. The torque of the system will far out-way traditional engine performance alone.
  4. I am sure some will say this beats anything the Americans have ever built even thought they are late to the plug in hybrid party.
  5. GM needs to get this back on track and selling, this is the sweet spot engine for full size trucks and SUV's. 4.5 Liter Duramax Diesel baby!
  6. WOW, So copy the VOLT! Greatest compliment is to copy your competition. So BMW could do no better than copy GM's terrible VOLT system? SMK how do you explain that?
  7. Sweet Read, nice job. Thanks for posting.
  8. Mouse 1, TouchScreen 0 OUCH! Love it still
  9. Sounds like fun and some day I plan to get to Detroit to see it in person, you guys Rock, Safe trip.
  10. Terrible product line, poor quality and just a plain coffin on wheels.
  11. A auto company that would not affect me in one way if it became a history note in the auto books.
  12. Thanks Everyone, It was a pleasent relaxing day. Appreciate all the best wishes.

  15. QUALITY, PASSSSSSSSSSSSS So far I have still not been sold on VW products, they are right with Fiat in my opinion for the worst Quality cars.
  16. DEAD CAR DRIVING. This car will be gone I suspect in the near future. To limited in appeal and to narrow of a market. Bulk of people just do not car for a limited use 2 door sit on the ground auto anymore.
  17. Amazing to see it in such fine shape. Nice car for what it was. Cracks me up to see a CB in this car. Does anyone know if it was an actual GM option or aftermarket?
  18. Awesome Auto, Hope GM finds a decent replacement for this bad boy.
  19. The SS was at the Seattle International Auto show and they had one in the Live Drive area. It was very popular as people were willing to wait an hr to test drive it here in Seattle. People were very impressed with the car.
  20. I have two coworkers who have Audi's. A4 and A6. Both ride hard but they love it for that reason. As Drew stated, this is NOT a RWD versus FWD but the way Audi has tuned their suspension. You have clearly not spent any time in BMW or MB FWD appliances as they ride hard and are anything but luxury rides. Cadillac DOES NOT need to compete in the FWD subcompact space. Buick has that covered just fine.
  21. Sad to see the charger go but I can totally understand wanting a newer auto and better fuel MPG. Looking forward to seeing what you get on the trip. Safe Driving
  22. Amazing at how depreciated the market is for Maybach auto's http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/Maybach/Mountlake+Terrace+WA-98043?endYear=2015&makeCode1=MAYBACH&mmt=[MAYBACH[][]]&searchRadius=0&showcaseListingId=0&showcaseOwnerId=0&startYear=1981&Log=0 I would hate to buy a half a million dollar car and a few years later it is worth a quarter of that. Agree with Balthazar, they should have revived some older name that has not been used in a long time and retire Maybach for now.
  23. AWD on the Soul would be cool
  24. Alaska USA is offering 3.75% on 72 months for auto loans. Awesome down payment, but Finance some place else as 5.9% is terrible.
