Its more like regress. Its masking the real problem, which is inadequate driving skills of many drivers on the road today. It also enables laziness with others. When we drive, we are supposed to focus ALL our attention to our driving and everything that entails and purtaining to driving. We are now breeding and tolerating complacency with these gadgets... Tesla autopilot... Yes...this is to the most extreme possible argument regarding electronic safety shyts... But that is the thing... All these gadgets are supposed to be AIDES....to HELP us be better...NOT to RELY SOLELY on them... Its come to the point where MARKETING these things is that these things SHOULD replace OUR SENSES, OUR EYES, EARS and even our BRAIN... STUPID!!!!

That's a sweet XMAS gift from Grampa!!! He may very well be Santa Claus himself...the GP is...red!!! AWESOME STORY!!!

We should all worship at a Greek temple me thinks... Sacrifice a baby lamb in the name of Zeus, we all eat and drink like Gods and philosophise the night away, wirhout a care in the world. Unless of course those pesky Persians are knocking at our doorstep, we get in ourHyundai Palisade and mow them down!!! Wait...maybe a different scenario... We get into our Dodge Challengers and tell those Brits to PHOQUE OFF!!! AMERICA! HELL YEAH!!! @caddycruiser I mentioned the Palisade. You happy? PS: You could talk about the Palisade. Ill cash in your 2 cents. Or maybe not. But doncha think its a little more fun the way I do it? I mean, WTF is soooooo exciting about a Palisade that you want me to discuss? You want me to wax poetic about a generic all too common CUV? Somebody discussed electronic safety shyt. I, in turn, wanted to make sure we, as a society, stop with this nonsense with the fear of us needing electronic shyt thrown our way. We got a brain, lets start using it!!! For real!!!

Just some banter there dude. I believe you veered off that path before I did, dude. Im just offering my 2 cents on that there post. Its up to you to cash in on it or just throw it out... Do what you please with it. I really dont care... BUT...when is life just one straight path? It is not!!! Life would be boring if it be just straight on top of all that. Enjoy life's little curves, hills and slopes dude. And my post did not harm you or the community in any way either...

Im grateful that evolution or God, it dont matter to me which God or what evolution, make my head go more or less 180 degrees from side to side and my eyes have a very wide peripheral vision while having quite decent depth perception and a very multi-functional brain to figure out my own blind spot/lane changing things. Good old trusty mirrors, 3 I might add, do the rest. Keep in mind, one vehicle I learned to drive in, was one of these... Regular wheelbase, 2 biggish side mirrors, 1 windshield mirror and only 2 windows waaaaaaay in the back there to figure it all out... As humans as of late, in the last decade or so, we DEFINITELY use our brains and common sense less and less. We rely tooooooooo much on these dumb a$$ electronic gizmos... I remember a time when the dumb GPS told us to turn left now, and dumbazzes turned left NOW and either hit buildings or fell off cliffs or even went as far as entering other countries and got lost...using GPS...got lost using GPS directions... I cant for the life of me comprehend such nonsense, this whole need to rely on electronics for our personal safety. Our ancestors used their wits, eyes, sight, smell and BRAINS to get out of trouble...we need beeps and bongs from a gadget made in China ? with cheap, shytty, shoddy phoqing parts...? ? Im getting sick to my stomach with this shyte!!! ?

Yeah....Z71. I had a minor brain fart. I know Z51 is a Corvette trim. Its just that even if Im changing heart for fullsized pick-up trucks and fullsized SUVs...Id still rather have a Z51. ? Either that or old age is kicking in and Im mixing up my numbers with my letters and my cars with my trucks... that would be called, I believe...virility. Or is it senility? ? Z51...Z71 Virility...senility. Same thing in my own little world. ?

Its probably too late for me to own a V8 as gas prices in Quebec are ridiculously high. But yeah, Ill be changing my tune.

As I finished work today. In my parking lot, there was a new Silverado. All black. Black and blacked-out everything. I must say...it was like that train wreck that @ocnblu couldnt take his eyes off...I was looking at it for the longest time. I do not know if it was a Z51 off road package like the pic above, but it was a 4 door, it had a high ground clearance. I was pondering why is it that I dont like pick-up trucks. This is why I didnt notice if the Silverado in question was a Z51 because when it comes to pick-up trucks, I simply dont care. I tune out. Unless its a muscle truck... 454 SS, Syclone and Typhoon, Lightning, Raptor, Ram SRT10, Lil Red Express, etc So...I was thinking, why dont I like pick-up trucks? Big. BOF. V8. RWD. I mean, I LOVE big American "land yachts". Big cruising machines. Especially in convertible form. ESPECIALLY if muscle car. Impala SS, Galaxie 500 XL. Bonnevilles, Grand Prixs, Super88s, El Dorados, Coupe DeVilles, Chrysler 300s, New Yorkers, Imperials, Continentals... The list goes on and on. I mean, the similarities in today's pick-up trucks as compared to the fabulous American cars of yore are striking. The great American car did evolve into what we have as pick-up trucks today. So, why didnt I evolve as well? Just a thought that I had today...maybe I start changing my attitude towards fullsized pick-up trucks and SUVs...

OK...back to cars. Where were we? Oh yes. Where we left off. Daisy Duke shorts. And what does that have in common with the Aston Martin CUV? Its ass. I got another image of that Aston Martin CUV ass. Daffy Duck's bill...- 64 replies

Im gonna get my cues from the movie The Shawshank Redemption Rita Hayworth And just like with the inmates watching the movie when this scene comes on. Except substitute boys instead of the girls in the gif... Then there is Rachel Welch. And Ill up the ante further with Barbra Eden. Just because I could honestly say Ive seen most if not all of the I Dream Of Genie episodes via reruns in the 1970s that I watched with my mom after school waiting for my dad to come home from work. I could post a Genie pic, but I found this instead and I found this to be sexier than her being half naked.- 64 replies

Aston Martin News:Aston Martin Launches its First SUV
oldshurst442 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Aston Martin
Im glad the thread temporarily went from ugliness (AM CUV) to prettiness (50s and 60s chicks) for a brief moment.... I was responding to @dfelt and @USA-1 posts about Marilyn and JFK. I googled to see what kind of cars Marilyn drove or liked so I couild at least link it to Aston Martin, but I found nothing concrete to tie it in. (Seeing this is an Aston Martin CUV thread and all...) She had a Cadillac convertible, a 1956 Thunderbird. It lo0ks like she owned a 1961 Corvette and a 1962 Chrysler 300. Maybe a Land Rover and a MG. She did own a Jaguar XK and a Mercedes 220 both convertible and the link also said that apart from her Land |Rover, she did not really like European cars. So...if she was a sex pot alive today, I dont think she be driving around in a Aston Martin car or SUV. I think a Mary Kay Land Rover and a Cadillac Escalade would be her choices for SUVs and as far as cars go, probably a Cadillac CT6... So there, you cant say I totally derailed the thread. ?- 64 replies

The Chevy Trailblazer Thinks You Don't Want a Cruze: Comments
oldshurst442 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in LA Auto Show
Yes.Joking around. The CVT comment was because, if I read correctly, that the engine choice of the Traiulblazer would be a turbo 1.2 or 1.3 liter 3 cylinder and either engine would be paired up with a CVT. And, If Im not mistaken, isnt the 1.5 liter turbo 4 Malibu a CVT too? Maybe Im wrong about the Malibu, but not on the 2021 Trailblazer.- 60 replies

The Chevy Trailblazer Thinks You Don't Want a Cruze: Comments

The C8 is missing quite a few things though.... The C8 does not offer AWD and continuous and limitless gear ratios... The C8 is ONLY RWD and is limited to 8 speeds...BLAH! And let us not talk about the price...holy Jeebus! I could buy 2 Trailblazers for the price of 1 Corvette. So...what is so mighty about the C8, then?- 60 replies

There IS no downside... Even if range will NEVER be improved to what we got today, which is almost 300 miles. Not quite 300...its still NOT a deterrent for a lot of folk. In Greece, on the island where my momma grew up, even up until the 1990s...AD... there was not many gasoline stations around. And as we all know, Europe and Greece limit engine displacement, plus its an island where thousands of years have gone by where donkey and horses were the main transport, so even a Chevrolet Sonic would have a hard time to get around let alone a full sized, big blocked American V8 land yacht would be possible to be driven in, would be a downside. Here in America, we dont think twice about that...right? So, it be a downside to own a 427 Impala SS in Kefalonia, right? Or even a 350 cubic inch LT1 1996 Impala SS, right? The downside of owning an EV in Lancaster, might be a downside for you...but for you, in Lancaster, its a 1st world problem... Unless of course Lancaster, in 2020, is still like my mom's Greek village from like, the 1990s...BC. As in BEFORE CHRIST... If, in Greece, on that stupid island where my momma came from, there are people that consider buying EVs, why in the phoque would someone from the good 'ole USofA find it such a thorn on their side is beyond my comprehension? As you may or may not know, 2 summers ago I took the family to Greece, and yes, I talked to local yocals about EVs, I did NOT meet one sumbitch that was against EVs... anecdotal, sure, but maybe its the dumb Greek way of life that does not limit their spirits and their progress...I dont know...

Dont forget married to baseball star Joe DiMaggio. I think she also had romantic links to Hollywood hunks Marlon Brando and legendary Frank Sinatra. The girl got around. The why part? The answer: The wholesome 1950s and the EARLY 1960s. Sex was taboo. Sex was forbidden. Sex was a hush hush thing. But there was innuendo galore though. And the image was blondes have more fun. Busty blondes especially. (I dont even think she was a natural blonde either) But the start of the sex pot, dumb blonde was well on its way and Marilyn was the leader. I agree with you Dfelt. I dont get the attraction either. But to be fair, she is a product of her time.... Im curious though, what dark secrets did she carry about Hollywood especially when its finally out in the open with this whole #metoo movement with the likes of Epstein, Weinstein, good 'ole Willy Billy Clinton, Prince Andrew, dare I say Donald Trump, and um....JFK...- 64 replies

True. I havent noticed it because it is so subtle on the cars. And nicely done I might add. This CUV rear end though, to take your choice of words, has been uglified unfortunately. About the Cybertruck. The most popular consensus seems to be that the Cybertruck could be a truck from Blade Runner. I see it as an Aliens universe truck.- 64 replies

I think it''s ugly as sin. But somehow I dont mind it either. But I agree, it does crap all over Tesla's signature & established design language. This will get buyers for year 1 and maybe year 2. But beyond that not very much. Its as almost as if this is a gimmick. A publicity stunt. Because this styling is NOT for everyone. I do not think that Cybertruck's design language lends to year after year after year sales gains. The novelty will wear off quickly I think.- 64 replies

About the bolded part... The ass of that Aston looks like the face of that Tesla. Its unique because I think its the first time in automotive history that a car took inspiration of another for its ass...maybe Tesla's face is only good enough for Aston's ass? I see what you did there!!!- 64 replies

Ford Flex. CUV or station wagon? In any case, same basic shape of a 2 box design of a 1960s , 1970s and 1980s station wagon while being the same 2 box design of an SUV...in any era. Tesla Cybertruck. Pick-up truck or SUV? Because THAT was done by Pontiac...and Im sure some other off road, adventure life style sport utility vehicle off-shoot from another manufacturer as well. And the Tesla truck is marketed as a pick-up, right? Anyway, if anything, the Tesla does really break the mold in what an SUV or pick-up truck should look like, so there is that.- 64 replies

This thread has managed to blind me TWICE!!! I must admit...the interior's of both the RR and the Bentley are plush. They ought to be....

^^^ that aint half bad... Its the long wheelbase that stretches the SUV's length to make it sleek. It kinda reminds me of the Presidential Limo The Rolls Cullinan would make a great (visually) British Prime Minister or Royal limousine Beast equivalent!!! I do not know what platform the Cullinan uses...so that is why I said (visually).
