  1. No no...Its OK... We could go back to leaf blowers and lawn mowers. Ill meet you half-way... I bought a Yardworks gasoline lawnmower 14-15 years ago. Im guessing its a Tecumseh motor. Hardly any maintenance do I do and she still purrs like a mean kitten. Internal combustion Tecumseh motors are fine engines....
  2. [Reads latest posts] Battery powered electric leaf blowers and lawn mowers.... [checks name of thread...sees thread is about Toyota] [concludes...and agrees...that battery powered electric leaf blowers and lawn mowers are much more fun to talk about AND operate than Toyotas]
  3. Hey Little Cobra The Rip Chords I took my Cobra down to the track Hitched to the back of my Cadillac Everyone was there just a waiting for me There were plenty of Stingrays and XKEs Spring little Cobra get ready to strike Spring little Cobra now with all of your might Spring little Cobra get ready to strike Spring little Cobra now with all of your might Hey little Cobra don't you know you're gonna shut 'em down When the flag went down you could hear rubber burn The Stingray had me going into the turn I hung a big shift and I got into high And when I flew by the Stingray I waved bye-bye Spring little Cobra get ready to strike Spring little Cobra now with all of your might Spring little Cobra get ready to strike Spring little Cobra now with all of your might Hey little Cobra don't you know you're gonna shut 'em down Songwriters: Carol Connors / Marshall Kleinbard Hey Little Cobra lyrics © Music Asset Management (mam)
  4. I dont know why. But IMMEDIATELY after reading your post...I laughed...but also...this song rushed into my thoughts. (No..not the Disney when you wish upon a star song....although that too is in my brain now!)
  5. Never played it. I was more of a karategi suit Johnny Cage video game guy.
  6. . MMMmmmmmm! Brown! Gotta love those 70's man. Can you dig it? Brown phoquing leisure suits and all! But in an interior....brown really aint that bad...to tell you the truth... I CAN dig it!
  7. When did you own it? And why in the hell didnt you keep it???!!!
  8. yikes.... All this time I thought that that was a center console. Boy...I was mislead. But in all honesty...I came to that conclusion as I read somewhere that even trucks were gonna eliminate bench seats. So I saw what I wanted to see with the worker trucks that come to the drive-thru at my restaurant. Or maybe I read wrong. Im not into trucks...so I am not familiar with truck trends. So....thank you all for the infos.
  9. 2015 with only 9000 miles? You hit the jackpot! Its like the saying goes....the previous owner was a little old lady driving it only on Sundays to church and to do her groceries. Awesome find.
  10. The one on the left, or the one on the right? Or was it both? Anyway...nice tandem of enthusiast vroom vrooms you got going on there!
  11. They did away with bench seats in trucks a while ago, I think. At least 3-4 years ago, right? All the newer work trucks I see...all of them...from at least 2010 on...all of them with bucket seats. Even contractors order the buckets. Yes...it is sad!
  12. I like boyracer styling. Functional or not. It just has to look good to...me. This latest generation ZR-1. It WILL have great performance. No doubt about that. 210 mph. Not too shabby for a front engined (far back as possible making the Vette mid-engined?) and rear wheel drive. 755 horsepower is why...I guess. And lots of air work and air flow and air passing and downforce. Which leads me to talk about the looks of it. Its OK. Not mind blowing. I like it. I just prefer the Z06 Z07 C7R package more. I find that the on the C7 Vette, my boyracer acceptance is limited to the Z06 Z07 C7R package. In yellow over orange...
  13. Me too. I even DESPISE some of them! The proportions are all...awkward looking. I find myself preferring long hood/short deck proportions most of the time. However... Cubi did mention the mid-engined cars I do like... I agree with this 100% All the cars mentioned 100% I agree 100% with some looking like Transformer/Gundam cartoon vehicles as well. I just like to add the to the list of what ME cars I like: The Countach...the 1980s one with all the excess (and useless) ground effects Ferrari F355 Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale Lamborghini Aventador and the Reventon. The new NSX There may be a couple of others...
  14. I see the G8 as a Grand Prix. Speaking of which, I saw a G8 today. Just the V6. Red. It looked gooooooood. Not too many of themm left in my neck of the woods.
  15. For the record, again, I dont feel like that is a "G6". Just because Pontiac decided to go alphanumerics on us... For myself, and you too I guess, a G6 is NOT a G6 but a Grand Am. So...all this talk...is for nada. We are back to square one!
  16. Ahem... That is not a Grand Am That is more like a... Like a G6. Like a G6. Like a GGGGGG6. That is a fly Pontiac G6. For the record...I HATE this song and Im not particularly enamored with a Gulfstream G6. Im more of a homeboy and prefer the Bombardier Challenger jets!
  17. The representative that said that is a piece of shyte!!! LYING TWO-FACED BASTARD!!! http://news3lv.com/news/local/driverless-shuttle-crashes-on-first-day-of-service-in-downtown-las-vegas In that link there is a video where a passenger explains what really happened... The pod had advanced when the truck was ALREADY backing up... Its a BIG ASSED 18 wheeler!!! The driver is BACKING UP an 18 wheeler!!! THINK ABOUT THAT A@@H0LE when you say to ME that had the 18 wheeler had sensors it would have stopped!!! The pod did NOT do what it was supposed to do...it advanced to far forward for the 18 wheeler driver to see what was going on...it did NOT recognize an 18 wheeler backing up... It did not HEAR the beep beep beep sounds of a truck backing up... And it did not reverse to get the phoque out of the way... 18 wheelers when baccking up back up...SLOWLY!!! The passengers said that THEY KNEW what was coming but the pod does not even have the ability to back up???!!! The driver was even cited... Yeah...I see a law suit happening and that driverless pod program in Las Vegas being shut down instead!!!
  18. Each thought in that post requires a +1. A Thank-you +1 for me as you are not condescending towards me as Ocnblu was...although he was joking around with me on that...I hope) And a +1 because you are right! It IS all about the negotiation.
  19. I just got a couple of them back, I think?! Its like demerit points on my drivers license....Im eagerly awaiting for time to elapse. LOL!
  20. About the flames out the rear pipes... I dont like that option...not one bit! I dont think its a good idea. Yeah! That option makes for a bad situation me thinks! In my lowly and humble opinion...
  21. I ran out of +1s to give in this thread. I dont have any to give since last night. MANY deserving posters and posts. So a shout out will have to do instead! @surreal1272 @ccap41 @dfelt @Cmicasa the Great @A Horse With No Name @Anthony Fongaro @Cubical-aka-Moltar
  22. I dont think age has anything to do with it. You like what you like. You are comfortable in driving in whatever car you want. Anecdote: PROLOGUE: I too...ALWAYS loved a big car. I knew this too, at the age of 5 years old. OK...there is a difference in eras between Drew and I. I was 5 years old in 1978. Fullsizers were downsized by then, but were still big and the older fullsized cars were still on the road. It was easier for someone to prefer the fullsized cars versus the absolute dinky-ness of Honda CVCCs and Chevy Chevettes back then. But...I NEVER preferred Corvettes over Trans Ams (bigger and taller car than the Vette and the Trans Am always MY #1 choice for sports cars) and I knew that midsized muscle like a GTO was my bag, baby. CHAPTER ONE: (where the anecdote really starts) In highschool (starting in the fall of 1986 if I remember correctly), us boys, would talk about cars... All the boys, as usual, would mention Ferraris (Magnum PI's Ferrari and the F40 and the 512TT) and Lamborghinis (Countach) and Porsche (911 and 959) and Vettes. I would have NONE of those...my friends would ask me what is MY favorite when I would say no way to those! I would say...these: "LIMOUSINES???!!!" They'd question. "Yes! LIMOUSINES!!!" Id answer. "You could only fit one blonde in a Ferrari. I could fit an endless amount of them in my limo!" There is NOTHING old fogey about preferring bigger cars, now is there? ( a limo is a big damned car that doesnt really driveall that fast or corners all too well...something like whippersnappers prefer, right?) Later on as the years went by...in about 1994...I was 21...I saw this scene in a movie...and I thought to myself...SCREW LIMOS...A BUS IS THE WAY TO GO!!!
  23. I am naive to this. I know why a house is condemned when flooding has occurred. But why does a car get condemned? Same reasons? Electrics (wiring and the fuse box and radio, etc.) coudnt just get replaced? Mold issues in the carpeting and seats? Couldnt those just be replaced?? A house gets rebuilt... I guess insurances just outright total the flood damaged car as the repairs are too great versus the value of the car. But that is the thing...why are the flood damaged cars allowed to be resold to the public and not destroyed? Houses get condemned and HAVE to be TORN DOWN when there is a severe mold problem due to water damage...yet cars are kinda totaled yet are able to be resold? I just dont get it.
  24. You know what is even cuter? The Green Police condemned it...by VW's own Audi division...which unbeknownst to them at the time...incriminated themselves too at the same time...
