  1. If it makes you hot that you think another male thinks you are hot below the belt...than sure... Why not! Just to let you know though...I knew at a very early age that I dig females. Only females. But I am comfortable with MY sexuality to help you come out of the closet if it means that I got to compliment your...um...manhood... Enjoy...and good luck in your newfound sexuality...
  2. Yeah...what a shocker... mechanical stuff breaks... Like when a Ford tows a Chevy Or when a Chevy tows a Ford...
  3. Make fun all you want...but here is proof! 1966 Toronado steering wheel 1970 442 1970 GSX 1970 GTO 1969 Corvette ooops....it looks like a Vette does indeed have the same steering wheel as a Buick... Modern times Malibu You think you got me? On semantics? It just proves that homogenizing starting during the golden age of ICED muscle cars... You know...your other argument....
  4. You do realize that your 1st paragraph has NOTHING to do with EVs, right? Hate on EVs all you want...homogeny started a looooong time ago.... Example: Camaro Firebird Only the the steering wheel is different... Camaro Firebird Monte Carlo Oldsmobile 1986 Cutlass Supreme 442 And of course the not so high output 5.0s found in California Corvettes, Caprices, Fleetwoods and the like! In the other thread you were saying that it be the same platform and only the shell will differentiate??? Like this? GM homogenized its engines in the 1970s...over 40 years ago! The 1980s gave us what I posted above... It only got worse from there? NO! It got better differentiated. The EVs will be the same...better differentiation between the cars... Hell...EVs cant get any worse than this sameness:
  5. the irony in this...is that the Chrysler starter motor...and all starter motors for that matter... are all ELECTRIC motors...
  6. You say that up above... But then you say this down below... yet IGNORE the fact that the ZR1 ALMOST has the same whining noises as you find in an EV as a supercharger whine is just that...NOT an ENGINE RUMBLING NOISE but a whiny afterthought of a noise DROWNING out the V8 rumble you cherish so dearly... How many naturally aspirated performance engines are still around? The base engines of those...sure! But the top dog ones are all force fed by devices that make crappy noises. A turbo aint better... PSSSSSS. PSSSSSS. blow valve sounds are just as annoying... The Voodoo is just about the only 500 naturally aspirated horses around... 1 engine in an ICE car is not my idea of what YOU are trying to disprove of when it comes to EVs...
  7. Read CLOSER... YOU always do that when somebody challenges you... DONT dismiss by finding a little thing...LOOK at the BIGGER picture... But yeah...EVEN steering wheels... A 1966 Toronado steering wheel was special...so was a 1970 442 that was different to the Toronado's The 1966 Riviera was different to the Toronado's and so was the GSX's to the 442 which all were different to the GTO and the Corvette... So yeah... A C6 steering wheel that is the same as a Malibu is EXACTLY how YOU want the EV argument to go down...but YOU dont want to admit to it because it puts a kink in your view of EVs as ICE cars today have started that trend...and YOU dont want to admit it!
  8. I agree with you here...except for the Jeepiat engine part... If it "feels" like its unique...its a computer thing that makes you have that illusion. The same could be done to an electric motor, maybe... An EV will NEVER idle like a MOPAR V8...but its acceleration will always be like a rocket ship... But really, dont you think its sad that both Chevy and Dodge have to add LARGER superchargers to their already supercharged beast of V8s to have a different, but same to a certain extent, of their Z06 and Hellcat engines to propel their ZR1 and Demon cars? BTW...a supercharger was both added to the base engines to get the Z06 and Hellcat... OK...stronger internals, but basically same block as base engines...
  9. But..isnt that how MOST ICE cars are now? The interior bits are also shared...when a C6 Vette has the EXACT same steering wheel as the same year Malibu... All steering wheels actually come from that one same supplier... Engines are no longer being built to a specific taste on a specific type of car. Very few engines have that specialness to them. But even then, they are shared across the corporate parent. About that...noises coming from those engines are muted greatly...(most of the time) All the "negative" driving characteristics have been nannied to death with computer controlled helpers. Oversteer, understeer, torquesteer...all neutered and negated. All the good stuff too, all have computer aided shyte on them. Oversteer, understeer, acceleration, rev matching manual shifting, all done with computers... Therefore...the hate for EVs in that regard....maybe for nothing...
  10. HA! This little guy is making Porsche shyte bricks!!! Hybrid 911...bring it on is what I say! 'Bout phoquing time! I love it when arrogance from Germania gets humbled... What Im thinking about...is that if Porsche actually goes 100% EV for the 911 one day and does it like a Tesla...AWD with 2 motors, 1 in front and 1 in back, then 100% of the trickiness to drive a 911 will be virtually eliminated. Negating 40-50 some odd years of engineering the 911 to death...which is good...I guess. But is it gonna be a "real" 911 though?
  11. Ill continue: #19 Batteries require supplies of very RARE minerals. If EVs become the successor worldwide, where will we find all these RARE minerals? Everybody keeps on mentioning RARE minerals...RARE means scarce to me... Everybody keeps on saying fossil fuels are just about to run dry...but NOBODY discusses how long will these RARE minerals will last us when and if EVs are produced by the millions yearly. #20 Every so often, anti-EV arguments reveal that disposal of batteries is EQUALLY harmful for the environment, yet no tree-hugger explains how this eco-disaster will be addressed. As far as pollution goes...we are trading 4 quarters for a dollar. Nothing is free in life...just checks and balances... #21 Nobody is questioning China as to why China is pushing to ban ICE... Pollution SEEMS to be the answer... Sure... But I truly believe (no devil's argument in this one) that is the brainwashing answer... I dont feel like googling...but Im almost 100% sure that China has a shtye load of these RARE minerals in her own back yard. Probably the world's largest supply. She already has monopolized the market...I think... Lots of dough to be made here on the backs of the rest of the world. Couple that with the fact that China has become the world's LARGEST producer of hydro-electric power and because China has the world's largest population o date...India will overtake her in the next 50 years...it dont matter though as billions of Chinese people will be recharging their EVs anyhow allowing China to line up her coffers with TRILLIONS of dollars... Its a money making power move for them...to ban ICE and go all-out EV. #21 is not a slight against EVs, nor a positive for ICE (although China as of now dictates how and what kind of cars will be bought) its just a reminder that the USA has to do something to keep up monetarily to the Chinese because this EV thing will propel China into a superpower level that has never been seen before...
  12. I was thinking the same thing...but along the lines of cheapening out on some sort of automotive part by reducing the amount of material used by making it smaller and saving about 3 cents per unit and when the part gets old by 5 years or so and the car hits a bump...the part fails in such a way that for whatever reason locks the steering wheel from turning and prevents the airbag in deploying when the car goes boom... But for me to say such a thing maybe trolling...GM would never do that....
  13. Typical of rightists? Ignoring and deflecting? PS: I dont lean neither left nor right...my ideas are based on TRUTH and REALITY...and I accept it for what it is...even it means...CHANGE... I just think...FOR MYSELF!!!
  14. Not so fast... These are OK... You mean like a Chrysler minivan? NEAT IDEA! Add sliding doors to that with remote control And you got yourself a....great...MINIVAN...and then truly one could say...THE CADILLAC of MINIVANS even though it be a Mercedes!!!
  15. Puff the Magic Dragon....lived by the sea!!! ***************************************************** You know where you are??? You're in the jungle baby! You're gonna die! Welcome to the jungle!
  16. Im in the same boat regarding lawn mowers and price. Same views apply to ICE and EVs for me. And I just remembered...thanx to your post....that Yardworks lawnmower I own is a Briggs and Stratton. My snowblower is a Tecumseh motor.
  17. Holy phoque...that is atrocious! If I have to see this shyte on the road...coupe style or regular...I will gladly take hallucinogens so my eyes and brain could be numb to it! And maybe...just maybe..Id mellow out a tiny bit. Or maybe...Id get a bad trip out of it and get aggressive... And Id get poor ole Puff the Magic Dragon in a stranglehold And kick the shyte out of it! (Both the BMW and the purple dumb ass dragon!)
  18. Average who? Average Joe...Biden? Nah...that does not help him at all...he prefers turbo V8s of the shytty kind...
  19. Call me crazy...and as much fun the LS3 86 would be...Id still take the EV. That is with an EV motor of only 100 HP...100 less than the 4 cylinder...and maybe 10-20 ft/lbs less. The LS3 86 just undermines what the 86 is all about. But the EV amplifies (pun intended) the 86's raison d'etre.
  20. whoa.... What you just said is unfair towards Joe Biden... Give the man some credit. Toyota is more like Al Gore... Was once married to a very fine looking Tipper. (That would be the Toyota 2000GT) Has 3 beautiful children (Those would be the Supra, Celica and MR2) Had a good political career (Hilux and Lexus) But now...is just a big ole bore. Al Gore! (Camry)
  21. The thing does corner damn well! I like the Toyota 86. Id take the Subaru version though. This little emoticon is my friend. If one car that could be made into an EV and be better than its gasoline counterpart would be the Toyobaru. The Tesla roadster powertrain in this and it be better than the Lotus derived Tesla roadster... Why do I feel this way? Let us discuss it...
  22. In all seriousness though...I avoided this thread... Too much mind-numbing whataboutisms and purposeful neglecting of reality going on. I much prefer the path we are on now. I no longer have the urge to....scream.
