Cadillac News: More Powerful Cadillac V-Series Get A Name
ccap41 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Cadillac
Is it CT5-V Blackwing or CT5 Blackwing? One flows off the tongue better than the other.. -
I think the CTS Coupe is one of the ugliest vehicles of the modern era. It looks so incredibly bad from anywhere but the front. The sedan looks so good but the just quit on the coupe and just "made it work".

2016 Toyota Tacoma, Butt Ugly or just my take on their design style?

So. Much. YES. -

I think the new GMC is the best looking half ton. They look great, The Silverado on the other hand though... the ugliest.. -
Volvo News: Armored Volvo XC90 Weighs Nearly 10,000 Pounds
ccap41 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Volvo
And you'll still be screwed because of traffic and TEN THOUSAND POUNDS OF VEHICLE. That's what the armor is for. Yeah, more power is more gooder but even with 1000hp you have to try and bring that thing to a halt at some point and speed is your enemy there. Maybe slow and steady is better. I mean you are in an armored vehicle. -
I'm not JUST talking about the Camaro. Everything gets redone in 3 and 6 years. It isn't to just iron out reliability. It would be to simply make more money and become more stable as a company. The Charger and Challenger don't seem to mind being a decade old. The Challenger continues to outsell the Camaro.

Volvo News: Armored Volvo XC90 Weighs Nearly 10,000 Pounds
ccap41 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Volvo
If you're driving an armored vehicle, you're not in a hurry. 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12 cylnders in a 10,000lb vehicle will be slow. -
I don't think it is. The 370z never got a mid cycle refresh. That's why it seems as old as it is because it is straight up 10 years old this year. They used to go that long.. I understand competition has created an atmosphere where automakers feel the need to update as quick as possible so they always have the newest technology and styling on the market. I get that. But, I also always hear how tight margins are and how an economic downturn could kill these companies..again.. Maybe 5 and 10 years is too long.. Maybe 4 and 8 is more appropriate or realistic but 3 and 6 just feels like they're making things tighter than they need to be. I think some of the pricing is because they need to get back every penny as soon as possible because they need to put that into the next model that is only a couple years away. I also strongly believe this would iron out a lot of the reliability issues they all seem to have now. Is that not what Ford and GM are doing now, for the most part. Do you want a brand new vehicle every 6 years or to keep tweaking the old one? That's the biggest difference here.
-
They just need to stop making yearly or biyearly changes(Ford as well). Let costs get amortized out and actually have the cars paid off so you have a lesser cost per vehicle and you could charge less and get more people into them again. Nearly 35k for a Mustang GT/Camaro SS...sucks. They don't need to barely one-up each other every other year. They're fantastic cars already. Let them "mature" a bit and just do basic paint and wheel changes every year and then some tweaks where necessary..NECESSARY(faulty design, bad hardware, etc.). Instead of 3 year mid-cycle refresh, that should be 5 years and 10 for a clean sheet design.

Well, something came out today that it is a "delay" or "pushed back" and not canceled.
-
MB is getting rid of the slow selling SLC, right? Or SLK, whatever the fck it's called... The small sh!tty convertible.
-
Well, they're not there/here yet so there's reason to bring it up.
-
Ford will bring back the 2005-2009 Mustang, exactly. They'll bring back the 3v 4.6 5spd and everything and laugh in people's faces.

Mini News: Mini-Cooper John Cooper Works GP Warms Up on the 'Ring

Name a coupe that any adult human could sit behind you... And none of that "GLE Coupe" or "X6 Coupe" crap. -
Jaguar News: Jaguar Land Rover Insists It Is Not For Sale
ccap41 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Jaguar
I don't think slogans come from customer perception.. There is nothing wrong with the slogan itself, it's the products following it. The most recent product that followed the release of their new slogan was the Chevy Traverse, sorry, XT6. -

This is exactly the first thing I thought of as well.
-
Is it really universal if there are three different ones? Both of which have been pretty successful in their EV sales in Nissan and Tesla..
-
That and to get a good universal plug going instead of each company having their own.
-
Not only do you get almost 30%(16mpg vs 22mpg) better fuel economy in the GLE, I would wager money that it's quicker than grampy's mobile. If you so choose(because there's an option) the GLE450 you get 21mpg combined. That's what is called a "Win, Win".
-
That 4.6 that makes 301hp also requires 91 octane. What a joke of a vehicle. Do you want horsepower?!? Do you want torque?!? Do you want remotely "okay" fuel economy?!? YOU GET NONE OF THOSE AND YOU GET THE LUXURY OF PAYING AN EXTRA $0.60/GALLON, TOO!
-
I guess everything new they're pumping out must be unreliable.. Lexus/Toyota couldn't possibly make a replacement as reliable.
