  1. Chevy has sold 1636 ZR1's to private parties and the car has only been on sale/produced since MARCH. . So no, Chevy will still sell more ZR1 trimmed Corvettes than Mercedes will sell AMG GTs. https://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/specs/c7-corvette/corvette-zr1-registry/ Also, 30% of which are manual transmission. As much as I love the AMG GT, the new Vette will whoop it sales-wise and I'd wager money that id would whoop it on a race track as well.
  2. @Drew Dowdell control your people.
  3. WTF are you even going on about at this point? Are you trying to argue to just argue or what? I stated an opinion that their lineup doesn't need "major changes and style updates" and that 19.5% is great, regardless of sample size.
  4. I never said they were "boomin". My response was to:
  5. I don't think Mercedes needs to do anything other than a little trimming of the fat because their products are at the top or close to the top in all of their respective segments. I know they're down for the year but I don't understand the wording of "only" being up 19.5%.
  6. Why "only" ? 19.5% is great. Cadillac and Lincoln would kill to be up 19.5%.
  7. Welcome!
  8. Yeah, I was looking all the way over to the YTD comparisons column. Correct, it was actually a very good month. My mistake.
  9. @smk4565 Where are all of the positives?
  10. Chevy sells more 2-3X more Corvettes with a manual transmission than Mercedes sells AMG GTs in a year. Maybe they should get rid of the AMG GT because they sell so few.
  11. Read above numbers. The last two entire model years they sold 22% Corvettes with manual transmissions. I'll let you look up 2017. If they sold 20% with manual transmissions, that's roughly 3000-6000 per year for the last ten years.
  12. I truly believe their sales will dip once the bulk of buyers who have been waiting for one get theirs because of the lack of a manual transmission. The most recent total sales number breakdown for Corvettes was 2018 model year(as 2019 isn't over yet) 2123 manual transmission sales - 21.9% 7563 auto transmission sales - 78.1% 9686 total 2018 model year Corvettes sold(not sales in 2018). https://www.corvetteblogger.com/docs/2018CorvetteFINALYearEnd.pdf
  13. Charging for chrome should be punishable by prison time.
  14. Oh, throw in a manual transmission and I'm done. ?
  15. We had some hacked up consumer vehicles turned into mail carriers come into the shop I worked at and I only drove them around the parking lot(for the final QC for torquing the lugnuts) and it's weird as hell. I'm sure it doesn't take long to get used to but it is such an odd feeling being on the "wrong" side of the vehicle.
  16. Have you ever driven anything right-hand drive?
  17. I've driven both and there is absolutely no way it takes the same level of skill to drive an auto as a manual. I actually didn't think I would ever see the day where somebody would actually say that it takes the same amount of skill to flip a paddle as it does to bang through gears in a manual transmission.
  18. From what I thought I remembered it was priced the same as the 6.2 and the 6.2 is only offered in the LTZ trim(and up) with 4WD meaning $50,040. I don't know what that means for the lower trims, if it's available or not.
  19. I have to say if this was offered in a full EV or plug-in hybrid sales would go through the roof ditching the ancient dirty gasoline.
  20. To each their own. I find it completely irrelevant and that's okay. You find it relevant and that's okay. There it is. It's CHEAPER.
  21. Because it's another hack-job-aftermarket-company-EV- job done to the previous generation. Irrelevant because it is never going to happen. Any, literally ANY, car can be sent to a specialized company and have them throw in electric motors and batteries. Is it cool if I found an article on a 2013 Ford Escape where some company took the engine out and plopped batteries in and put an electric motor, or four, in it? Irrelevant, right? There are hundreds of examples like that, aftermarket electric companies swapping engines and fuel tanks for batteries and motor(s). If somebody did that to the new C8, that's a story and a pretty fun story at that. An no, I never got a boner over that EV Mustang. I'd, personally, never want a muscle car that lacks a V8. Dfelt and I have talked about it before. It isn't a Ford VS Chevy thing. it is an EV vs every single thread thing.
  22. Find'em. Yeah, completely irrelevant that an aftermarket company turned the last gen into an EV.
