Mercedez Benz News Mercedes Introduces the new GLB
ccap41 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Mercedes-Benz
Luckily, the third row folds flat so it's only another option for the user. Nobody wants to drive a minivan, don't kid yourself.- 72 replies

Mercedez Benz News Mercedes Introduces the new GLB

Also, just having an Escalade will get each human a considerable amount more room than a GLB.. pretty obvious but I feel like I should state I do acknowledge that. Maybe one day I will be comfortable driving something that large but as of now I would absolutely hate having something that massive. I understand their purpose and why people do like them but I would hate it so much, at this point in my life.- 72 replies

Mercedez Benz News Mercedes Introduces the new GLB

Aaaaand that is why I(and others) have stated that this isn't for a family that takes up the 3rd row on a regular basis. FWIW, the non-ESV Escalade really doesn't have a whole lot of space behind the 3rd row seat either. A family of 5 likely couldn't fit all of them and their luggage for a week long road trip either.. and that's considerably larger than a GLB(or GLC or GLE, and even the GLS).- 72 replies

Mercedez Benz News Mercedes Introduces the new GLB

Hahaha well in all fairness.. that starts at twice the price the GLB is supposed to start around.. (estimated to start between the GLA and GLC which start at 35,000 and 40,000 and the ESV starts at 78k)- 72 replies

Sorry, I thought it was clear but it obviously was not. Your kids' friend or two. No, I did not miss the mark. I still don't think anybody buying this is buying it for a family with 3+ kids where they will need the seats AND the maximum hatch space all at the same time to maximize capacity.- 72 replies

I don't think it's a gimmick. If you're ordering that you know there will be occasions where it'll come in handy and you don't feel like buying and driving the next size vehicle up. I can't see anybody buying that expecting to use it on a regular basis but if you have young kids and know there will be times where you have to move a friend or two, this would be completely fine. Plus, it folds flat so you're really not losing any space. Size-wise, it is similar to a Tiguan which also offers a 3rd row of seats, fwiw.- 72 replies

Plus, it's optional so they don't need to equip their vehicle with the 3rd row.- 72 replies

That doesn't mean a RWD unibody couldn't be shares across four brands. The Aviator's platform is shares with the new Explorer in the same way.- 72 replies

Industry News: Trump's Tariff Threat Turned Out To Be A Farce
ccap41 replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Industry News
It doesn't even state units. There's zero label. It could be deaths. It could be births. It could be any variety of things and it should be pretty basic reporting to include labels. Having accurate graphs that aren't misleading in anyway can only builds their reputation. -

There is no scale or units on the left side of the graph. What do those numbers even mean? -

Here we go. This is about the most truthful thing I've read here. EVER. -
Do they not have a ZF unit in any of the 2.0T Jeeps? Or are those all RWD-based? Actually, is that only in the Wrangler at this point...? I definitely think I'm looking further ahead than they currently are, come to think of if..lol

7200rpm is pretty high these days for a turbo engine. It's probably a hoot to drive.

@Drew Dowdell It was kept very civil until today. I thought we had solid discussion yesterday. People cannot talk politics without getting personal, for whatever reason.
