  1. Yes, back in the 80's, 90's and early 00's there was shet management from them all and that's why everybody needed money to have their asses saved in 2007-2009. This is a different era. This is an era in which companies needed to trim fat and streamline manufacturing. Become efficient or go under. Adapt to the market or go under. Adapt to regulations or go under. Make products that people want or go under. They learned so much with the Dart that they..nope.. did the same with the 200 also.. Maybe they didn't learn yet. Maybe they learned enough from those that they could release the Renegade/500L without issues...nope.. not there either.. Maybe they learned enough at this point that they can make a good product AND get it out on a reasonable schedule. Reasonable, as in, not years of delay.
  2. Luckily the delays you showed us aren't a sign of a shet company/management of said company but rather production or supplier issues of a completed product. 30 days is acceptable... 1-2 years.. eehhh
  3. No offense to Stew but I don't think he read the articles but rather found the first Ford articles mentioning delay and went with them. The RS and Raptor were also an issue like the SD in which the PRODUCT was completed not delayed. Yes, technically it was delayed but there is a huge difference in how/why those Fords were delayed and the FCA products were.
  4. Special editions? I mean I guess they are delays but it is after the F150 and Focus have been out. In FCA's case they would be delaying the Focus and the F150 from the beginning. That Super duty article was delaying the launch of it but the product was completed and driven in a review. Not pushing back the whole Super Duty project a year or more.
  5. They just so happen to FCA more than anybody else... What was the last GM or Ford vehicle delayed?
  6. I have to agree.. too much here-say to believe anything to the 'T' at this point. Because there is a Ranger/Bronco vehicle already out there that they are utilizing for the 2019/2020 vehicles. So the test mules are likely either; not needing additional testing as they already have a Ranger or completely undisguised in other countries with different things under sheet metal(aluminum?). It isn't that they are putting them out together it is the fact that they had to delay yet another product that is worrisome. I have no issue at all with them coming out together or the timeframe in which the current gen has been out for. It's that it was scheduled for a certain length and got pushed back like a few other products have been as well.
  7. Those aren't Italian.. well the Renegade is. But get on some other public forums/groups where somebody owns one.. I'm a part of a facebook group where two people have Fiat 500L's and they're big-ole-pieces-of-shet. They always have issues. One got rid of his for a Beetle, actually.
  8. I have not seen a good report of reliability coming from Italy.
  9. Hellllllllo Reliability!!
  10. Me too... This was one reason I wanted to pay off my Escape and just keep it so I could have a gnarly daily like an SS one day.
  11. IMO, only if they're purposeful because they aren't that cool to me. They aren't "uncool" but they don't do anything extra for me. Just tell us what's wrong, bud. It helps to get things out and vent. Of all places, this is probably one of the easiest because... I don't know any of you! Just start with the issue next time though... lol
  12. And it pains me when people make blanket "feel bad for me and ask why" posts. Just say what's wrong. You're asking for somebody to say "what happened?".. Just say it. It's like Facebook posts saying, "That feeling when you want to punch holes in the drywall" That was a post of a good friend of mine the other day. I hate that crap. Say what you're pissed about. I did not respond to his post, fyi.
  13. Oh the Edge looks waaaay better than the Escape, IMO. Escape has always been "ehh" to me. Pre 2013, 2013-2015, then 2016+. None of them really looked great to my eyes. That was actually my biggest fear when I bought mine.. I would get sick of its looks too quickly.
  14. AWESOME! You're the man! Thank you!
  15. It sucks how poor outward visibility is getting because of safety stuffs.. There seem to be more and more vehicle I get in that seem more and more difficult to see out of. Not impossible or 5th gen Camaro bad but just thick pillars and blind spots and narrow windows.. They're getting to where we NEED the blind spot warnings and backup cameras, oh and the cameras on the noses of cars to see around corners, 360 degree cameras... I never thought I'd say this, but, I like the Equinox more than the Terrain now. I think the Edge looks best in this group, from its profile, easily. But I think a good chunk of that is the angled hatch area which looks like it is sacrificing some cargo space by doing so.
  16. I did not.. I think I started typing and got busy at work and ended up just not finishing the email.. What was the link that you mentioned, again? I would still like to ask about it. Even if it only shows that there is indeed some public interest in EV buses.
  17. I think it's because it doesn't matter if the whole back door was clear glass there are seats that impede your rearward vision anyway. At least that's how my Escape was. The window wasn't itty bitty like these but the top of the seats was at the bottom of the glass, basically.
  18. With that picture I honestly could have mistaken that for a Nissan Murano.. funky tail lights and"hovering" roof The CX5 is slick. I drove a '16 a couple weeks ago test driving things and I really liked their infotainment setup with the "dial" to scroll through things when you're driving. I was also pleasantly surprised with the power the 2.5 put out. it wasn't blistering fast or anything but it didn't feel near as weak as I expected at 184hp(likely a similar amount of tq) coming from my Escape's 240hp/270tq. I also think it looks best in class by a good margin.
  19. I agree with ya, too. They're just dogsh!t quality meat I don't understand how anybody makes the conscious decision to eat one of their burgers.
  20. The Titan XD was a failure... I had high hope for it but it flopped real hard, imo. It only tows a couple hundred pounds more than two of the half tons(Ford and GM, I believe?) Too heavy, not capable enough, not efficient either.. The thing weighs something like 7500lbs! Put that same engine/trans in a 5800lb truck and it's so much better at about everything. It would still get better fuel mileage than the 6.2 and 3.5tt as it's a smaller diesel. I mean my buddy's 2010 Ram 2500 with the Cummins gets 17mpg when he isn't towing. Add modern tech to the engine, trans, and a truck that weighs at the very least 1000lbs less and it would get phenomenal fuel mileage for the output. I do agree that it would be priced in a very bad spot.. It would enter a tweener location with an expensive diesel price premium for a half ton. Your last line is very accurate.. If you're going to tow that much regularly.. you should probably have the 3/4 ton anyway.
  21. You have the worst taste in burgers possibly ever.. I'm not a fan of a chain burger, period.. but McDonalds is worse than all of those.. maybe save for White Castle as I've never eaten there and will likely never.
  22. This is intriguing.. Sounds very off-road-like and that's gnarly. I hope they give it some hard edges and not CUV curves.
  23. I think the matte silver or body colored grills look the best. The large opening one is "okay" but it allows people to almost have an aftermarket grille from the factory.
  24. All of us here would fckn love for the base(or lesser trims) to be styled like the V Series. I just think that's too aggressive to the masses.. I don't think the car needs to grow any. They just need to package it better as it was within an inch of every exterior measurement of the 3 Series. LOL
  25. That's exactly how I feel as well. If I were further north and had true snowy winters like upstate NY, Wisconsin, Minn..etc. I would definitely invest in two sets of tires.
