Ata boy, Suav!! Keep it up! I actualyl prepped my lunches for this whole week yesterday with just baked chicken and green beans.. The package of chicken I bought had 6 pieces, cut into halves for easier cooking, so I had 12 pieces. I did 3, just simple salt and pepper, 3 bbq sauce, 3 some red pepper seasoning, and 3 with some asian-like sauce. I know the sauces aren't very good as they're usually quite sugary but one can only eat so much baked chicken without some kind of sauce on top. Hopefully I can keep it up and on Sunday's I can spend an hour-ish doing this again. I also want to start hard boiling eggs for breakfast as opposed to just the protein bars that I eat. Hopefully this can make my workouts better and I can get some more GAAAIIINNNZZZZ! My diet is definitely my weak link so hopefully I'm turning the corner on that. -

"special" is a relative term everybody sees different. I see the GT, RS, GT350R as "special". They are limited and likely won't be around long for this body style. They do what they were designed to do very very well. I guess I shouldn't say the GT does as there's nothing out there on it but it's won races already so it can't be terrible. I could group in the Fiesta ST as well as there has been nothing but praise left and right about it's driving characteristics and how much fun of a car it is. I only kind of group it in because I also feel like there will be a 2nd, 3rd, 4th,...etc gen of the car. The Raptor is gnarly and badass but it seems like it is on pace to keep a "consecutive" run through different generations whereas those other seem like there will be longer breaks between generations. So I don't really see the Raptor as "special" but awesome and great at what its intended objectives are? Very much so. To me, the "special" GM products as the CTS-V, Z06, and ATS-V, (Last gen Z/28 as well but it's not produced now but I feel it deserves credit still). Yes, I know the Camaro is great at what it does and the ZL1 will be whooping some ass(probably slaying 100k cars like the Z06) but there's something about using the same engine in everything that takes some of the character away from it no matter how great of an engine that 6.2L supercharged is. Just my take on "special-ness" of a car. Preach!! -
Good Capture, so he finally says this is final and it still looks the same as what everyone test drove. H'mmmmmmmmmm That picture was only of the first Model 3. It didn't say that the pictured car was the finalized one, just that it is finally finalized. At least that is how I read it. Good Point, my reading of it came across differently, but I see the point your also making. Be interesting to see what he calls the final and what the spec is. I also wonder about the impact the 225 mile BOLT will have on this 215 mile Tesla 3 or the @00+ mile Leaf II out spring 2017 or the 115 mile Ioniq from hyundai. We do live in exciting times. Now if we could only get some charging infrastructure over here in the mid west...

Uhhhh... I'm in the midwest.. And no matter what your opinion is electric cars are coming. At this point it is just a matter of time before there is a legitimate infrastructure for charging. Whatever his tactics are..have worked wonders for him and his previous businesses selling for hundreds of millions and billions of dollars. I'm not sure what having an auto body certificate has to do with the Gigafactory but that's good or you. Teslas will just be more vehicles you can repair.

Lackluster U.S., China Sales Impact Ford Motor Profit

And looking at the price of said shares, 8.8% is larger loss financially than 10% ..yes...but no.. % is a pretty big deal because if I invested $1000 I would be buying a different amount of shares therefore the % lost is crucial. Rarely do people go search for a stock and say "I want to buy X shares", it is almost ALWAYS "I want to spend $X". Or "I have $X to spend." -

Whoa Whoa Whoa... If you're an investor(which you brought up stock price) then you are absolutely looking at tomorrow's problems because tomorrow is when you will receive your dividends, or not receive them. Never be short sighted if you're talking about investing. -

No doubt.. but in Europe.. Ford did beat GM by about $300Mil. Both need to figure out away to stay ahead of the Brexit Bull$h! Yeah I was reading some on the financial websites and it looks like they are both going to lose a lot of money with the Brexit crap. One estimated Ford will lose $1.2B over the next two years from it. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/brexit-could-cost-ford-up-to-12-bln-over-next-2-years-2016-07-28 GM estimated to lose $400M in just the second half of this year from it. So it sounds similar numbers to Ford's $1.2B over two years. Stupid Brexit bull$h!. -

Is that the new LaCrosse pictured above? Whatever it is, it looks damn good. -
I can see High Tech Companies doing this to entice their developers to get off their ass and move around. Good point.. I had originally only thought of smaller local restaurants and things along those lines. I don't know how long it takes to find and catch one though so if it's real quick then I don't see the point in a tech company doing it.

Year to date the General's stock has tumbled 8.8% to Ford's 10% so neither are kicking any ass right now. But both pay a healthy dividend so as long as they're both profitable I don't think the shareholders will be too upset about one quarter. -

McLaren F1 or Non Supercar, What is YOUR Choice?
ccap41 replied to G. David Felt's topic in The Lounge
If it will be my one vehicle it's easy to say CTS-V as nothing there really touches it. The Bentley does but no thanks. If this is a second car I'd probably want something to drive and not just be a show car so it's actually tough to decide between the ZL1(I think the body tweaks completely change the look of the car and I love it!), Z06(because it's a super car killer), or a GT500(because I can't get a Camaro over a Mustang!!!). Corvettes are super badass but I've just always liked the pony cars more, GT500 has a solid rear axle.. so that kind of leave me with the ZL1 as my second car. Noooooow if this is a third car for whatever reason I want the Mclaren! It's a timeless piece of art but I would feel bad putting miles on it if it was a second car so it really would basically be a garage and driveway queen.- 10 replies

Why can't I make enough money to buy a new car every 6 months..? That would be perfect.

Makes one wonder if GM could eventually after getting things going on the BOLT with LG use Tesla Gigafactory as a secondary supplier of battery cells. I wouldn't doubt that at all. I think it would be smart on their part and they can probably push "built in America" some as well.

Nissan News: Revealed! 2017 Nissan Titan and Titan XD Regular Cab
ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in Nissan
Have you been in the new XD? There was one at the STL auto show back in January(or February..) and I was surprised how nice it was inside. Granted I didn't have similarly priced/equipped D3 trucks to compare it to at the same exact time but I thought the interior kind of rocked. If only they could work on the proportions a little better... I just think the XD needed to up it's payload and towing capacity just a little more to really stand apart from the half-tons and become a very good value. Even if the towing just tipped the 13,000lb mark just to say it does. I think that would widen the gap a little better and just looking at a Silverado and F150 can tow 12,xxxlbs and this can tow 12,xxxlbs just looks too similar to not go the F150/Silverado route unless you tow on a regular basis in which I have to believe the larger, heavier truck will just be better suited for "work". Nope never been in one, only making my personal opinion based on the pictures and I still am not impressed. Glad to hear they are better in person, but from these pictures, I would not bother looking at one. This drives home the importance of putting on that first impression as pictures speak a thousand words and then some. I wouldn't consider one just because they don't seem to do anything more than the GM/Ford half tons which have a billion and one configurations available and one of those that I think I would want is the middle cab side. The only thing that really grabs my attention is the 5.0 Cummins. But that's about it. Yeah after looking at those pictures it doesn't do much for me. This is what I sat in basically... Scroll down to the interior pics.. the brown looks great imo. http://www.trucktrend.com/news/1505-2016-nissan-titan-xd/ -
MB Urban eTruck - First or what?
ccap41 replied to G. David Felt's topic in Electric Vehicles and Alternative Fuels
I actually think this is where electric vehicles should have started and grown into "civilian" use as infrastructures grew. I freakin love the idea. I'm kind of surprised it took this long for work trucks to become electric but with the limited range I understand why. I have to assume that the quoted 126 miles should be at max capacity, right? Therefore kind of a worst case scenario situation? I don't know what kind of miles these trucks do a day but I would think a lot of shorter trips could be about 100 miles a day and this seems like it is borderline not enough capacity because when its 20 degrees out you won't get 126 miles and when its 100 degrees out...you also won't get 126 miles. I'm curious about the charge time on this as well because I have to assume the battery packs are much larger than what Tesla is using to be able to propel the mass that they will. I hope this pans out because the less pollution the better! -

I just found out yesterday that businesses can rent rare Pokemon for people to catch to entice more patrons. I don't know what it costs but it's a pretty dang good idea.
