ccap41 replied to William Maley's topic in Opel/Vauxhall
Really neat.. but also pass. If I was stupid loaded I'd like to buy it but w/o any special markings on the outside nobody would "get it" so the joke isn't that funny.- 2 replies

Lincoln News: 2017 Lincoln Continental To Begin At $45,485

. Thou cannot also not call a car luxury when leather isn't even standard. Funny how you dodge those little facts that show how gullible most Mercedes buyers are. Worded perfectly. If leather is not a STANDARD FEATURE on a car.. it is not luxury. Maybe they make luxurious trims, and in my opinion they do, but not all E Class or C Class cars are luxury automobiles just because they have a nice chassis under the cloth seats. -
Damn.. You guys ave gotten to see a P1 in person?!? Jealous. I have my jealous pants on right now. Well my post now sucks.. I was going to say I saw a TSX Wagon today and I thought that was rare..

Hey Casa, when you bought both of your Cadillacs... did you have to pay extra to have leather seats? Or do all Cadillacs come with leather? -

I have this odd feeling that there has never been an E250 on the Nurburgring.. So the AMG is VERY LIKELY the only version of an E Class that was tested on the 'Ring. Some people don't care if it's RWD or FWD. Yeah it drips the base price to FIFTY THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS and you still don't get real leather. That's such a joke. They won't have a near 25% off sale like the S Class though. ( That's your bread and butter car too ) -

It really isn't. If all I wanted was freakin' leather in my MERCEDES BENZ I have to pay an extra $1,620. It's amazing what their clientele is willing to just piss money on, things that are standard on much lesser vehicles(price). -

Hahahahaha Yeah except it isn't competing with a sport sedan. Of course nothing American has great interiors because they aren't German. *sarcasm* What's funny is for $7000 you get 2hp, fake leather(MB Tex bull$h!), no keyless ignition like the Lincoln comes with, No heated seats like the Lincoln comes with, No rear view Camera like the Lincoln comes with, 17 inch wheels(Lincoln comes with 18's) Yeah, what a bargain the E Class is. Exactly! What really grinds my gears is the fake leather in a car that STARTS at FIFTY THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS. That's just insane and complete bull$h!. -
How many miles did you get out of the OEM rubber and what were they? The duratracs?

Looks like an Sephora store my Girlfriend makes me take her to. Cheap ass looking Mercedes dealership. Sounds awesome just like my Cadillac dealership. Glad the experience is so solid. Yet with that, just like my dealership, this is just bland and does not speak luxury to me. In this case I would have to say that both MB and Cadillac have failed us in having a luxury attractive dealership. That building is actually pretty huge, because it goes back really far. And you drive inside to drop your car off,so you are never outside, which is nice in winter. But the service from the people I think is more important to the experience rather than the building. Same thing at my Chevy dealership.. and GMC/Buick... let alone Cadillac. Is that abnormal? Yeah same at my local Chevy/GMC/Buick dealer. It was reacently updated within the last year or so though. Ha. Sephora stores. Hate'm. I too get dragged in there.

http://www.iihs.org/iihs/ratings/v/class-summary/large-pickups None of the single cabs are listed though. But all of the smaller cab configurations do have a worse rating as well. I have to assume they are all doing a similar thing with less bracing(of some sort) for the smaller, lighter cabs. Do you have a link? Maybe I just suck at searching..lol

I never looked it up because I just assumed those three hyper cars were all using turbos.. Definitely did not realize it was a n/a motor. Can it not be a hybrid drivetrain even if it is a boosted 5.X liter engine? Let's try to make it a non-hybrid, as there is a hybrid/EV thread coming soon. Ight. I couldn't think of anything else off the top of my head even though there are probably hundreds of vehicles to choose from but I've always had a thing for these. 2004 Lightning. The only thing I'd want to do to it would be to put a good 6spd in it.

I don't think anyone is disputing that cp. Also, some have picked the Camaro is SS guise. For what it's worth, at closer to 30K, I'd take the 'Maro V6 stick. I'm just having a knee jerk reaction to alternatives that are priced to Camaro SS levels. Of course there are going to be superior cars if everyone defaults to $37,000+ as the benchmark against a Camaro V6 that starts at $28,000. I don't see anyone picking legit contenders like the Mustang Ecoboost, Challenger V6, the new Miata hard top, or the FRZ/BRZ/FT86, isn't that the point? It's like what would you rather have over a Kia Optima Turbo ($28k-$40k)? Well for $40k I can get an Infiniti Q50 or ATS 2.0T. Not really.. I thought the point was a "for the money" would you rather have less options but a larger car? or in your Optima Turbo and ATS question.. would you rather have a smaller, way less equipped ATS or a fully loaded up Optima with more space and possibly better fuel economy as well? I went with the Mustang GT but I'm definitely not getting the options and features one would get with the V6 Camaro. Heck, I went with a car with cloth seats at that price! All the while that v6 Camaro is fitted with about every gadget GM offers short of engine and performance upgrades. YUP. If I had to daily this sporty car I would go RS or Golf R route hands down.

Inexpensive...? What? That was back when Lincoln had some credibility. It has to be "cheaper" now to sell. The Lincoln name isn't the greatest at the moment in the automotive world. -
I'd like to see the drag coefficient of all of those compared to the Tesla's slippery 0.24. Tesla's may not be the most stylistic vehicles but they are designed around efficiency.

For the privileged: The S-Class Coupe Convertible Driven
ccap41 replied to Suaviloquent's topic in Mercedes-Benz
. See. There's the problem. You think it's of a case of a small car getting premium styling when there isA. Nothing premium about a $30K Mercedes And B. It's a case of the newer $175k S Class coupe using the same nose as a $30k Mercedes. I understand family unity and all but a car in this price range can afford to look more distinguished than that. I agree but I think Benz is viewing it as, "Our little 30k car looks similar to our flagship." And not, "our flagship looks like our econobox." In my opinion, this is how they are pulling 30-40k out of the CLA. They obviously WANT it to look the same, it probably helps CLA and C class sales as they all look like baby S Classes now and probably 99% of the people buying CLAs and C Classes will never be able to afford an S Class..now they have a baby version. I don't hate it..I don't like it.. but I understand why they are doing it.. -
Well your Rolls thing got me on a little kick so I'll definitely be having a Wraith, possibly as my daily. Wraith: If I don't get it in that blue ^ I probably want it all blacked out. G65/63(whatever I can get my hands on in 'the states - or the gnarls 6X6! - again, whatever I can get my hands on) Actually, the more I think about actually driving the vehicles I'd probably rather swap the G for a Range Rover Sport Supercharged - Overfinch Edition. Baby Girl Cobra 918 Spyder F Type R Coupe

I've just been busy at work.. That's why all of mine have been a day or two late.. I love these things! Some do take a little more work than others.

Well I think it looks terrible but I have a feeling it will do special things and push innovation forward very hard.

What are the exact interior specs of the XTS vs CT6 vs Continental? From what I've read they arent far off in any capacity. I don't think the CT6 competes with either the XTS or the Continental. The Lincoln's pricing is directly taking from the XTS I honestly have no clue... at least until we get some more numbers on the Contiental we won't be able to compare them. Yeah I don't think the CT6 competes at all either, imo. It's a step up.
