Better solution: ban the troublemaker. Lord knows it's been done before. Funny how some call for "ignoring" yet when asked to do the same, they are oddly silent and just continue to act like nothing is wrong at all. Oddly silent IS EXACTLY IGNORING. How does that not make sense...? If I wasn't "oddly silent" then we would be talking, hence, not ignoring. But by not talking, ie. ignoring, I'm "oddly silent". Which do you want? "ignoring" or "oddly silent"

Why is that better? Drew has said it multiple times, there is a feature BUILT IN to this forum that will make it so you won't see any of his stuff. It is an ignore feature. There is no reason somebody should be banned because 2-3 people, out of everybody registered, here have a problem with them. That is not fair at all. You get under my skin at times, Surreal does, Casa has, Wings does as well, even Olds says things sometimes that I don't agree with.. does that mean you all should be banned because we don't see eye to eye? Aboslutely not. There has to be give and take on BOTH ends. Wings end and your end. Heck, my end as well. I'm not perfect.
-
Then just ignore him if he isn't worth the trouble. And it is uncalled for, for anybody to assume somebody is voting yay or nay on anything without proof. We all ask for proof when discussing cars/trucks/SUVs to get facts straight. The same standard should be held for this. But, this is all just my opinions so..there's that.

The new Civic has a turbo 1.5L that puts out 174hp(no tq rating though). I would assume it would be no less than 174ftlbs with it being a turbo.
-
Talkin' about 'Bong? "I tire of accommodating his childishness." "It's the childishness of it that is the problem." I'm also curious how you have insight as to who is and who isn't voting for anything? Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the admins/mods the only ones with that kind of information?
-
And it's pathetic that this rating means this much to you and the others that take some simple downvote to heart as if your mother just told you she never loved you. I guarantee you Wing's rating would take off if you guys didn't downvote things of his as well. No reason to downvote a thread TOPIC. As it has been said before, "attack the article, not the poster". It's just a clusterfck of stupid and it's irritating to read how somebody downvoted you or downvoted somebody or this post or that post got a downvote.. It's like we're back in high school and the girlies are talking drama to eachother. You cannot honestly say you voting him down is legit and his to you aren't. Anybody can downvote anything for their own reasons. There is no classification as to what requires an "up" or a "down". If you guys just took the "ups" and "downs" like a grain of sale like EVERYBODY else does I guarantee it wouldn't get out of hand. I get downvoted, I don't throw a fit because somebody is tarnishing some make believe rating on some website. I see it, and go on with my day.
-
You shouldn't be one to be pointing fingers about it. I read the word "downvote" at least 6 times a day from you, hands down more than anybody else.
-
I can't freakin' stand how much this "voting" garbage means to three/four individuals. Jesus.

I don't blame you. I've tried to mentally assess the net good and bad of Facebook and other social media, and it's hard to get beyond a stalemate. On a personal level, it's great to keep in touch with family and friends, it's hard to put a value on that. On a psychological level, it breeds unhealthy narcissism (that's an understatement) and the ruthless bullying that comes out from behind the computer screen is seriously disturbing. I tend to come to the conclusion we'd be better off as a society without it. Absolutely. Great assessment. I'm more towards the middle ground of its use. I get on once a day usually, sometimes every other day. For exactly what you said, keep in touch with friends and family. But all my closest friends I call or text anyway and see regularly. It is more for the people that have moved away and family that isn't local(none of my family lives within 6-18hours of us). But HOW it is used by the LARGE MAJORITY is just junk and advertisements and bullying and all sorts of just trash that would negates the benefit of keeping in touch with people you don't get the opportunity to see(which says a lot when you can't see loved ones).

"If this was a general appliance like car then yes I buy your argument. But this segment is not that kind of segment and anyone willing to buy an SS is not going to let $4K stop them." I feel like this was a great way to word/sum it up. Very good point, sir

Nope not offended, already hate facebook. lol A large chunk of facebookers have extremely seneitive feelings though.. We're in an era where somebody offended has o have things changed so they never will be again.. stupid world. Just a bunch of pansies.

But as a consumer you will be drawing a line somewhere, correct? Lets say I can absolutely safely afford a 35k car. 2 cars are on that list and 1 isn't. I can get some extra options on those other two as well. A smart consumer will find out what they can comfortably afford and draw a firm line there no matter what.

The news keeps reporting it as a "dislike" button, but it's actually a sympathy button, when "liking" a status would be inappropriate to show support. I've noticed for awhile that people will "like" something when it's a sad story or something of the nature and actually "liking" it isn't what you're doing but you're supporting them more or less.

Some people are going to be quite butthurt. https://www.yahoo.com/tech/s/facebook-creating-dislike-button-mark-zuckerberg-confirms-195516891-us-weekly.html

Uh oh.. This will offend many. https://www.yahoo.com/tech/s/facebook-creating-dislike-button-mark-zuckerberg-confirms-195516891-us-weekly.html

I knew what you meant.. I was just jokin 'round. Plus, at least there are cheaop gas stations in po-dunk middle of nowhere towns..I guess they might have electrical outlets as well but no "super charging" stations. You just have to bring your own portable charger that is being sold now by multiple companies. http://delphi.com/manufacturers/auto/hevevproducts/charging-cordsets/charge-coupler-cordset/ http://www.plugincars.com/aerovironment-unveils-599-portable-charger-129326.html So for those that have a small podunk town you can bring your own stepup charger and for the outback, just turn on the generator first. Wow that's pretty cool. ..just pull up to some building and score an exterior outlet..lol

But, like I said, people probably said the same exact thing in '02 when that came out. I mean it was a low 13 second car, was it not? Yeah it handled like "crap" to todays standards but how many people EVER are trying to take turns so agressive on the streets that a crummmy live rear axle won't take? The "muscle car ear" was cars running 15's through the quarter mile not 13's. Where 95% of owners will use these cars they've gained 1 second through the quarter. Yes, the interior is light years better than those of back in the day. But 7k better? I don't know.. I'm just saying I will still think it is over priced regarless of the sustained g's it can hold or how fast it's figure eight time is. I'm just more a fan of the way these cars once were with raw power and just go fast in a straight line for a reasonable price. Like I said the Z28 back in '02 started at $29,800 in today's money. And even back then it was probably picking on the bigger more expensive cars. For instance, the C32 AMG and S4 of the early 2000's were also low 13 second cars. All three pulling 0.85-0.9g on the skid pad as well.
-
I completely understand what you're saying but I bet they were saying the same exact thing in '02 with that camaro. It's just hard to swallow north of 37k for a starting price on a v8. I know it's inevitable due to CAFE and the tech that's been put into the car but I still don't like it..
-
This is one reason why.. 2002 camaro z28 was 22,500 - adjusted to 29,800 for inflation.
-
I mean..I'll still complain about it.. I still don't like that you're forced into more equipment even if "most" order it with that stuff. I understand why they did what they did but I still don't like it as a consumer.
-
I personally wouldn't, but if you insist, they are closer than the rest of the vehicles in that list. I could see them also being more on the intro to lux side.. Yeah the rest of that list is just complete random 4 door vehicles.

Do you actually hate the sport of football or how the league/government use it? The owners DEFINITELY can afford to build their own stadiums. But part of them asking for money is because they're used for WAY more than just football games which(supposedly - I tried to look it up and I see responces in both directions) bring money back to the city and/or state. Love College Football, have come to hate NFL, Over paid babies, Over rated league with owners who think a cast system is society cause they are better than everyone else and NO, the stadiums DO NOT get used for other things that benefit the tax payers, the stadiums get used for Concerts, monster truck shows, etc that the NFL owners get to charge for and take people hard earned money. Every study has shown that tax payer supplied stadiums DO NOT return the money back to the cities and people who live in them, then you have the stupid politicians who give up sales tax, maintenance costs to allow even more money into these 1/10th of 1% people. The money should be going into our students and the education of society not into the uber rich!. I'm kind of confused how you like college football and not the NFL when you're talking about money and greed. College is even worse when it comes to being greedy. I won't argue that the money doesn't get returned directly to the taxpayers but it does bring revenue to the city which pay their employees at places like; Hotels, bars, restaurants for all of the sporting events and auto shows and conventions that are held(in domes). All of those peopl with tose jobs shop at grocery stores, own cars, etc. Successful franchises make a huge difference as well. I've talked to the owners of the bar that my friends and I attend and they said every winning season their sales are higher, post season appearances their sales are higher(STL teams in this situation). And those are owners only making 35-40k a year. So it does have a trickle down effect. To what extend is it worth paying X hundred million for a stadium.. I cannot answer. No, I do not think they should be 100% publicly funded, at all. Do I have a legitimate % to throw out there? No. But the owners have a case to ask for money as does the state/city. Which is why I think they should be split some way or another. Yep. I was born in Kansas City. I've never been to a Chiefs game (or any NFL game for that matter) but I know that there isn't anything like Arrowhead Stadium. Plus good BBQ there too. You lived in KC and never made a trip to Arrowhead?!?!?
-
Yeah, too bad that's #6 out of a class that really only has 11 players in reality. Also, while everyone is throwing the sales figures around, here's a juicy little tidbit that nobody knows or ever hears/talks about- GM counts their service loaners as monthly sales. In other words, they're inflated. That's 6 out of 13 in reality. Why you would exclude the Subaru and the Mazda is beyond me, other than the fact that you are saying it like that to support your point, which is a bit muddled at best Frisky. Sorry. Lol, I am counting the Subaru and Mazda. 1)Toyota Camry 2)Honda Accord 3)Nissan Altima 4)Ford Fusion 5)Hyundai Sonata 6)Chevy Malibu 7)Chrysler 200 8)Kia Optima 9)VW Passat 10)Mazda 6 11)Subaru Legacy What on earth is so hard to understand about this? I think I would include the Regal and CC as well, but that's just my personal opinion. Either way.. the top 5 have a pretty solid sales lead on the rest of the field.

^ Does Ford/FCA/Anybody else do that, that you know of? I'm also curious, in your opinion, what cars on that list do you not consider competitors to the segment? Not sure why the Venza is on that list, Priuses, C-Max, Leaf, Outback.. That's just a weird list.
