Considering fuel prices are virtually identical to 1950 but vehicles are roughly twice as efficient, id say you're saving money. 1950 fuel price: $0.27 = $2.97 in 2020 1950 average fuel economy of 15mpg 2019 average fuel economy: 25.2mpg. Same money out of pocket, quite a bit further traveled. Yes, but unlike some other electric mowers, these batteries can come out and be used for their other tools. Yes, the mower itself can be plugged in so you don't have to take them all out to charge.

I'm not 100% sure what it was originally. I've spoken with a few neighbors and I think it may originally be a manufacturing building for Basler Electric(coincidently, my dad is an engineer for Basler at a location built in the 90's that's on a 10 acre lot - see link). The one neighbor told me it was one of their few small locations around town and eventually consolidated into the one large building. I do know that when my wife and I were in elementary school/middle school it was a dance studio. I need to try and stop by my town hall and see if they have any information on it. We are caddy corner to an old brewery that hasn't been in commission since, at lease, we've lived here(1993). There is a small elevator(not human-sized) in the back and there is also a pneumatic lift out front. I believe it was to bridge the gap between a truck and the entryway(garage door), still a little confused about that. The single story part was built in 1949 and the second story portion was added on in 1951. The picture was from before we bought the place, via googlemaps. I may try and grab some pictures from my phone of the place.

Sorry, I meant while I mow. I accidently blow grass on the street and want the leaf blower for easier cleanup. I definitely do not try and blow grass onto the street! Plus, its typically illegal to do so but it is never enforced.

Yeah, I don't really plan to blow leaves with it. I mostly want it to clean off the sidewalks and if/when I blow grass on the street...I want to be able to clean that up a lot easier. I just mulch leaves. I don't let the yard get suuuuper covered and it never gets too bad. I cut the grass just last week to get what I think was the last bit of leaves.

Oh absolutely, and mine isn't super overgrown as it is as I've done about what I can, reasonably, with my garbage curved shaft Stihl. How is the 530cfm? I've only ever used a leaf blower a few times at my parents to blow out the garage and I'm not sure what is considered , "not enough", "enough", and "overkill". Also, do you know if there are stripe kits available for EGO mowers? That's an accessory I'd like to invest in as well.

I think that's what I'm going to end up doing with the Echo one I bought already. A real god edge only needs to be done once a year and maintained the rest of the year.

I've never looked into this because there are plenty of universal attachments out there but I've never looked into which brands accept those or not. I recently bought a dedicated Echo edger for $75 off the good ole Marketplace. I have a lot I want to start edging this coming year in addition to the regular sidewalks. It's in pretty rough condition along the red line beyond the sidewalk area. If I like it a lot, I'll keep it and use it. If it seems to be a pain and not really worth it, I should be able to still sell it for what I paid for it as it's a ~$250 unit. Also, this picture has to be a couple years old as the dumpster is still out there.

EGO switched from Home Depot to Lowes. I think it was the end of summer, or so, they announced it. When looking at the tools on EGO's website, they only list Amazon, Lowes, and Ace Hardware. The wording on this is very confusing because I believe this is JUST the attachment for that price. I believe that's stating the power head, battery, and charger are not included. I say this because $130 for the powerhead and attachment(without battery and charger) is still damn cheap. I would like to at least buy the leaf blower and string trimmer together but really doubt I would buy the mower at the same time, just because I don't really need it and it's tough to justify the cost at this point.

That's what's almost "unfortunate" because they do appear to make very good stuff, top of the line electric products, but they're priced that way, too. I also really like they have the "power head" system but it's really expensive, $400 to get it with one attachment.

Reel mowers are for the dedicated and for those wanting putting green-like yards. Powered ones are also extremely expensive. They cut at fractions of an inch, like 1/4 in.

Oh I've already been convinced of battery powered yard tools. The upsides to them over gas and 2-stroke tools is tenfold. I'm still rocking an old Cub Cadet from probably around 2000 for the lawn as I don't have a garage built yet so I'm not buying anything nice to leave out back. Plus, I'm still not sure what I want to get for the lawn. As of now, there is no electric version I'd want but I've heard rumors of some larger zero turn battery powered mowers. I just want an electric push mower because I also enjoy walking the yard and would probably like to do that every other mow, at least. Thanks to @David, now I'm torn between EGO, Toro, and Husqvarna. The Ego line seems to be quite a bit more though so I may still go with one of the other two. Toro's line of string trimmer, leaf blower, and mower end up $921 at Home Depot Egos line of string trimmer, leaf blower, and mower end op $1177 at Lowes. Those specific Ego tools are sllllightly better than the comparable Toro ones and the mower comes with a 7.5ah battery compared to Toro's 6.0ah.

Hahaha no sh!t Illinois is a dumpster fire. Our lovely politicians haven't had a balanced budget since 2015. They firmly believe in raising taxes instead of cutting wasteful spending. They attempted to pull a fast one this past November with a "fair tax" bill. It was to "only raise taxes on people making over 200 or 250k" a year but had wording in it to allow them to increase every tax bracket at any time along with the ability to tax retirement accounts and pensions.

Yours looks more similar to a Suburban than a UX 250H looks like a CH-R. You have the least amount of room to knock badge engineered vehicles.

How is there zero maintenance on mowers? You at least need to winterize them and change the oil once a year. If you insist on not winterizing them in any way, I'm sure starting it in the spring is waaaaay easier than just pulling the handle bar to engage the blade(s). Then add in your string trimmer and leaf blower and you now have 2 stroke gas/oil to deal with.
