  1. Same, don't understand the point, especially when an electronic shifter with the typical PRND seems to throw people off.
  2. Did a manual hand calculation on FE, because of my um, led foot over the last 4 or 5 days I figured it would be in the 20s, but was around 31! The computer was showing 29.8.
  3. Local dealerships have been getting a lot 2015 1.8T classics in running 12900 to around 14900, definitely a heck of a deal on those. they must be getting them from some fleet though.
  4. I couldn't see it being more than a few 10ths of an MP, but I guess in this day of ever stricter EPA regs, every little bit counts.
  5. With the exception of the Beetle, the Silverado, a black Fteetwood, blue Grand Cherokee, and green Cherokee and a Green SHO I had for rough 6 hours, every other vehicle i have had has been red or white. Of course most of the time when you are buying used you don't get a color choice, of course my only new vehicle, the Patriot, was Inferno red haha. White: 93 Thunderbird 5.0 LX, 87 S-10 355 swap, 93 Talon TSI AWD, 91 Talon TSI AWD, 97 F-150 4x4, 92 lumina, 97 Crown Vic PI, 96 Caprice B4U LT1, 96 Roadmaster Limited, 86 Mazda 626, Red: 91 Thunderbird 3.8 base, 84 S-10 355 swap, 91 Talon TSi AWD, 01 Dakota MotorSports, 04 Dakota 4x4, 2000 Grand Prix GTP, 07 Jeep Patriot Sport, 11 Camry Ever sadder looking at this I have had 24 cars in 20 years of driving, most of them in my first 10 years of driving haha. Well, about 3 or 4 were drivers for family that happened to be in my name, and a couple the better half's, so lets say I have had 18 in 20 years of driving haha.
  6. So very true, but the good news in for people buying used ou should be able to get a lot of car for the money. I wonder what will happen to all the buybacks? Will they be stored until a fix is found and they sent to the used market?
  7. Had to Google it, that colors does look pretty nice, and boo on no manual.
  8. I have driven all of those and they are all fine cars. I can't explain why that 14 Camry would be so different, but this 11 has no issues in handling or emergency maneuvers. The brakes are also fine, strong quite linear actually. Maybe newer gets just got worse? I like it, it wasn't my original choice to be honest, but we are both quite pleased with it.
  9. True and chin spoilers on 4x4 pickup kill me. If they were at least easily removable it would be a ok, or just limited to 2WD versions.
  10. Funny thing is I literally watched this Beetle on their website for months as they dropped their price a little at a time haha. The good thing about wanting the manual is that you are one of the few people that do anymore.
  11. Seems to vbe a decent improvement and even makes the styling somewhat palatable. Would really love to see a comparison of this, the Elantra Sport, Mazda 3S with the 2.5, Jetta 1.8T and the Civic 1.5T (all manuals please).
  12. cars weren't that bad. the LX cars still sell very good for being fullsizers. I am a bit shocked the Charger crossed the 10000 unit mark. We know dart is dying and I wouldn't be surprised is Chrysler goes completely goodbye in a few ears while killing the 200 and 300 and moving Pacifica to the Dodge brand.
  13. I have to wonder about the killing the Verano. It looks to have basically outsold the Regal and Lacrosse combined.
  14. Nice review! I wonder what a new Versno for the US market based on the new Cruze would have been like? I really like the Verano and the fact you could get the 2.0T/manual combo in it.
  15. Thank you sir!
  16. I think it might still be offered in the fullsize vans, but not sure. I always found it weird they never updated it to match the 6.2 Ford or the 6.4 Hemi. That said, the Duramax 2500 is easily my favorite version of the Terain X line. I LOVE the fact it doesn't have that silly chin spoiler and looks to be better endowed in the ground clearance department than the other 2.
  17. Completely understandable. Was originally looking for a couple CUVs, but because of price and need changed my mind. I really like the Beetle though, very fun car.
  18. They did a great job with this gen and IMHO it was deserving of all the accolades it received. In a few years I could see myself replacing the LE with a V6 SE, preferably another 11 model.
  19. Agreed. It has a lot of personality and possibilities and is just a generally fun little car.
  20. Kind of what i figured. Of course people seem to be easily confused these days haha.
  21. Is that shifter as potentially confusing as the diagram makes it look?
  22. Did the Beetle Friday, so i will do the Camry today. The Camry is the better halves so yesterday was my first time actually driving it, though I have rode in it quite a few times since we got it. Anyway: 2011 Camry LE 2.5 4/6 speed auto Price: 9900 64k miles Ok, long story short. i don't feel a need for a long review. he Camry is what it is and nothing more. I have come to the conclusion it has a mission and does i well. It is big, roomy, all-day comfortable and buttery smooth in in all of it's moves. The ride, the lazy handling, the numb steering, the utter quiet, the fact that every control is placed perfectly to fall in hand with big buttons and guages. The fuel mileage has destroyed the EPA estimate of 32 highway by averaging in the neighborhood of 34-35 MPG. Acceleration is more than adequate, though quick would be an overstatement, acceleration is.......... smooth. This is a car for a relaxing drive. Handling is not as sloppy as you would think though. The Camry has no issues with taking curves at extralegal speed, it just pours though the curves....... smoothly. Considering the mission of the Camry, my faults are few. I wish it had bluetooth. It would be nice if the LE had standard alloys instead of steel wheels with covers. I wish they hadn't used the silver plastic on some interior eras that was so seemingly popular in the 2nd 5 years of the 21st century (as otherwise the interior materials are surprisingly good with soft touch on the dash and everywhere that it is needed). . I have always had a soft spot for he 06-11 Camry. I eel they got a lot right with gen and it was a quantum leap forward in every measure from it's immediate predecessor. I have been a huge proponent against the Camry in the past, but I understand completely what the mission is for this car and why it simply hits all the right buttons or family man or anyone with a long commute. Any long trips and this will be car we take. Overall, I like the contrast between this and the bug. The bu is quick, sporty, with a little bit of edge on it's side. The Camry is smooth and relaxing.
  23. Not really my thing for some reason, though I have a soft spot for the Lambo Huracan and Prosche 911 Turbo S. Hmmmm, may amend this later haha..
  24. I like it and actually owning Chrysler products in the past they have all been reliable. it seems they have the 9 speed issues pretty well worked out (according to a lot of later reviews and my limited experience with the 9 speed) , though Honda doesn't seem to ey. I hope it gets the new Hurricane Turbo 4 at least as an option, though i am guessing we will get the 2.4 only starting out.
  25. My list is pretty well going to mimic my average price list haha. Jeep GC Trailhawk Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 2 door Challenger SRT 392 Camaro 1LE Ram Rebel 4x4 Hemi
