  1. LOL, this doesn't cover incentives for everywhere apparently. The Cruze, Malibu, Impala, all Cadillacs, and every Buick except the Encore have huge rebates here. The Camaro SS is running 10k in rebates here. There are incentives the manufacturers provide to dealers so they can be advertised as dealer incentives instead of Manufacture incentives. Guess this is GM's way around that. And I am done. you are grasping at some huge straws here.
  2. Funny, as they are advertising Silverados locally with up to 12000 in rebates. And the hilarious thing is, Ford , by far, has the most top 10 rebates. Don't know where you say you have to go to 40, the Silverado is number 2 behind the Titan. Try again.
  3. Ther is actually a pretty big difference there. Different gauges, higher quality materials and leather, different shifter, different center stack controls, etc. No, not a completely new design, but far more updated than you claim. The Charger got some nice updates as well.
  4. You also have to to the top trim in the Impala to even get that. Look at all that plastic, just like the Cruze LT my brother had. Compared to a base 300 The Impala dash looks busy for the sake of it. The Chrysler interior is simple and easy to use. The 15+ gauge cluster destroys the Impala's older style gauges. I personally like the Impala, but I don't have to swing my balls and put down other cars to make my decision feel good.
  5. You realize they all are using massive discounts to move inventory? And the dash was actually changed for 2015. New controls, new guages, better materials, and the option of the dash even being leather covered. That impala dash and butt ugly steeing wheel are nothing to be proud of. The materials are badly mismatched and build quality isn't exactly the best. That is also a top tier model.
  6. Platform amortization. This is what allows this and the stinger to exist and why they both must exist. The same reason Cadillac shares platforms with Chevies, Lincolns with Fords, and Alfas with Dodge.
  7. Unlike the Impala which hasn't seen updates since it came out in 14, or the Taurus which hasn't changed since 13 (itself, along with a lot of Ford'slineup based on a platform from the 90s), the Charger and 300 get at least minor updates for 18 (after a major update for 15). This will of course be the final refresh before the new platform hits. My favorite part? the 300C is back to a standard Hemi at the top of the 300 line and it gets this beautiful interior with quilted leather.
  8. I can see Chrysler and Fiat on the Chopping block. Dodge sales are actually pretty decent. We KNOW new models are coming for them. THe Challenger outsold the Camaro and Mustang last month, the Charger is the best selling fullsize sedan, they sold 17k Grand Caravans each month. I mean, do you people even look at the sales numbers or just spout off because you want the company to fail? Also, FCA has both full electric and Hybrid systems already that will trickle down through their models when needed.
  9. I doubt there is any manufacturer interested in overtaking any other one right now. The world economy isn't in tiptop shape right now and the uncertainties of what our nut job of a president is going to do does not help the situation.
  10. Exactly. People don't actually pay attention to the actual numbers. A lot of what dragged sales down were the vehicles lost, the Patriot, 200, and Dart. The Cherokee is ready for a refresh. I think the Compass will continue to gain sales. they might as well kill the Cherokee off and make the V6 an option on the Compass because, while it is smaller, it actually has more interior and cargo room than the Cherokee. Charger is basically the best selling fullsize mainline car with it and the 200 together outselling other brands combined fullsizers such as the Impala and lacrosse combined. Fiat was an interesting experiment, but at this point it needs to go or be redone with more desirable vehicles.
  11. Kind of sad that all the GM makes are again becoming reshelled versions of each other. if they want to get serious with GMC then they need serious vehicles. Ford is going all in with Raptor versions of not only the F-150 , but the new Ranger as well and the Bronco. Jeep is sticking with a real Wrangler with live axles and even giving us a truck. Even their Unibody SUVs are available with impressive off-road cred. Ram has the Rebel, Power Wagon, and even the new off-road packages for their HD trucks, with a good chance of a version of the supercharged TRX with the next gen Ram. It is sad that GMC doesn't even et a version of the ZR2 for the Canyon line.
  12. It has been 4 or 5 times at least. Doesn't have 15k miles on it yet When he had his Audi he always got an Audi loaner. All A3s I believe though.
  13. Can't wait and I really like that it is getting the 3.0 ED 6 instead of downsizing to a lethargic 4.
  14. It is a Chevy/Cadillac/GMC/Buick Dealership, so it is. usually they give him last gen Impalas so this is sort of an upgrade lol. And the whole thing went out so they are just replacing the whole unit. I have been in other mid level compact cars and this is easily one of the worst.
  15. So, the brother's ATS is in the shop again, this time getting the entire passenger side front LEDs replaced. His Rental while it is being fixed is a 17 Cruze LT with the RS package. Exterior: White does not suit this car. It looks bulbous and overweight, especially with the RS sideskirts. The premier looks much better with it larger rims and in a darker color. Interior: Tons of room. The controls are easy to use and work well, and it had Apple Carplay and Android Auto. Interior materials left MUCH to be desired. The thing is filled with hard and cheap plastics with that weird carpeted crap covering a few small places on the dash and doors. The trunk is huge for the class, but the huge part of the steel body structure going across towards te front seats looks horrible and seems a huge snag hazard. Drive: This engine is really lacking, especially in low RPMs It is merely ok when moving. The estimated average MPG in the car computer states and average of 33, barely better than he 31 to 32 my 2.0T bug averages. Ride was pretty good, handling was merely OK. Overall: Too many corners cut, at east in the LT model. Looking at a midrange compact, it would be pretty low on the list. I am sure the premier is much better in materials and probably even covers up that hug piece of steel sticking down in the trunk.
  16. They won't sell Jeep. And no, Jeep is not the only brand is FCA worthwhile. We might as well say say Cadillac and Lincoln are $h! because they are getting slammed in the lux car market. Buick is basically useless in the US as their sales continue to drop. The Ram outsells the GMC Sierra by what, 3 or 4 to 1? Let's quit saying stuff just because we have a very silly hatred of a company.
  17. If they were or weren't, they certainly did with Jaguar, Range Rover, and Volvo what Ford failed miserably at and continues to do with with Lincoln. I don't get how they are failing. Dodge, Ram, and Jeep are sellingpretty damned good with what they have, The Giulia is exceeding expectations in sales, and the Pacifica is the best minivan out there. New product is coming including legends such as a new Wrangler which does an amazing job of sticking to it's roots. To say their are failing is just a sorry excuse to try and attack a company just because you don't like it.
  18. Hardly. We have a new Wrangler and Ram coming and a Wrangler pickup, the MCE for the Cherokee has already been seen testing, the Renegade is only 3 years old, the Compass is brand new, New LX replacements are coming in 2021 as will replacements for the GC and the Durango along with a good chance the Journey replacement will be based on the Dodge/Alfa platform as the others. The Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer are coming and signs are pointing to the return of a Ramcharger as well, all based on the new Ram platform. Your average vehicle uses the same platform for 10 to 15 years and similar styling. The 08 to 17 Accords for example were based on the same platform with similar styling, and the Camry is finally changing platforms after roughly 15 years. Remember, the only reason we got a new malubu for 16 was because the 13 to 15 models were total duds. They are still making the last gen MImpala introduced in 06 and the crrent Impala hasn't seen any real updates since it came out in 14. Also, GM for example already said they are increasing the times between major updates and redesigns.
  19. What ifs that just won't happen. Replace FCA with GM, Ford, Mitsubishi, etc, etc, you have the same story. Hey,, trump has already chased Focus production to China so by the time he is out of his first term all of our cars may come from China.
  20. I like the style. Very mature, but with just enough edge. I do wish they could have done some minor work to bring the HP at least to an even 300.
  21. That is a good point Maybe a stretched version? Or was it the first gen that had the stretched 300 in some markets?
  22. I see Chrysler getting the boot eventually, but not Dodge. With the Demon, Widebodies, and continued funding to the Durango, they show a definite interest in keeping it around and sales ARE enough to justify this. I can the Pacifica easily being moved over to the Dodge line and the Charger getting a higher luxury version to take place of the 300. Maybe a billion or so. It is based on the Avenger, old 200, Patriot, Caliber, etc platform. They did do major work with new powertrains, and a new interior, and a new Electrical system that allows it to run the larger touch screen and current gen Uconnect instead being stuck with what is not generations old tech like the Patriot, Wrangler, Avenger, etc has/had
  23. What? they put billions in the Journey in 11 and then billions in the LX line in 11 and then again in 15 when they got rid of the rest of substandard Daimler hardware. I probably just hit it on the wrong post Sorry about that.
