  1. Of course it will because it’s a Mercedes. Didn’t you know?
  2. You keep using that ONE example when every other example from GM and Chevrolet say otherwise. From the GM fleet order guide and the Bolt... Now, why make the comparison the way they did? It's easy, because it is and never was marketed as an SUV or CUV. And again, I did time at a Chevy dealership and NOT once would find anything resembling and SUV or CUV in its marketing materials nor did any salesman push it as such, especially when its own window sticker says "5 DR WAGON". Stop splitting hairs over this and using one obvious error of an example to support this notion that the Bolt was sold as something it clearly wasn't.
  3. The teal and white is a neat little color combo. It conveys that beach cruiser look that I like. And you are correct about the fundamentals. It has cargo carrying capabilities that are unmatched for its size. People don’t realize that it’s only an inch shorter than a Tahoe and you’d have to get one of those or an Expedition to get more room to haul your stuff. I am getting my money’s worth on that alone.
  4. Thanks and I agree about the silver. Without the black top and massively tinted windows (thanks Arizona lol), it would look very drab and boring. The two tone look looks sharp in just about any color combination with the black. Funny thing is, the pic you posted looks like there Eco-Boost model I wanted as my first choice but it was sold a week before I closed on my house. Oh well. Such is the luck lol.
  5. Sadly, it was on borrowed time once they released the Explorer (the previous FWD generation) with pretty much the same features and powertrains with a more agreeable shape for the masses (I do not personally agree with said appeasement but it is what it is). The Explorer continued to get updated while the Flex did not. It was allowed to wither.
  6. And the pin striping (which was beat up in the first place) is now gone. Love the cleaner look without it as I’ve never been a fan of pin striping.
  7. Outside with the good camera again so I couldn't resist taking a few more shots of her.
  8. Yes it is. It would open by hand but because the actuator was so stiff from bad hydraulics, it was a pain to manually open and close. It was the only thing that was acting up when I bought the car and this far has been the only issue during this time. I can’t lie though. Having a power lift gate is nice, especially when my hands are full.
  9. Then something is defective on your end. Hmmmmmm Perhaps turning off the “little snitch” feature would help.
  10. Shows as a video and plays as one on my end once I tap the play button.
  11. So, when I first looked my Flex, prior to buying it in December, I noticed that the power lift gate was acting erratic. It would open about six inches and close back, regardless of whether it was closed all the way or open all the way first. I did a little research and discovered it was the hydraulics in the actuator going bad, and a new one was around $125 (give or take). I got them to knock another $300 off for the issue and they agreed. Well, when I got to NC, it was acting okay until a month ago when the problem resurfaced, so I bit the bullet and bought the actuator. Long story short, it only took about five minutes to switch out and the Flex is much happier now. C0FF370C-223B-48F7-AE07-2A0DB1B9B1CB.MOV
  12. Get the F over yourself. You were, once again, trolling when you continued to harp about V6s and trying to tell everyone that hybrids suck which is just the same old BS courtesy of your outdated thinking. Sorry that my statement flew so far over your head that you had to make the above post but again, get the F over yourself. Go start a diesel lovers thread or a “buy American” thread. Anything over the normal trolling you do whenever there is a mention of hybrids, EVs, or otherwise Alternative Propulsion (a subject you demanded from someone btw because you had to be a baby about it). Seriously.
  13. But, but, Hybrids suck! A reliable source told me so.
  14. Exactly my point, something some folks fail to realize while barking about V6s like it makes a crap on a FWD rolling appliance.
  15. No $h! Sherlock. It was an example where a V6 isn’t always the answer. Sorry that went over your head a bit there. Guess you missed where I ended it with, ”the V6 Camry only happens when selecting the TRD and XLE models. Clearly, they see the V6 as a niche which only puts the writing on the wall as far its lifespan goes. The next gen Camry will probably forgo it entirely.” And diesels shouldn’t exist on anything outside of a heavy duty truck. See, it’s easy to just throw out any old opinion like it means something.
  16. Which won't mean squat for a RAV 4 since it won't be getting a V6 and because the current 4 banger already pushes into 4 Runner territory (price wise) and I know which SUV I would take at that point and it sure as hell won't be a near $40K RAV 4. The NX can just burst into flames and no one would even shed a tear. No V6 changes that ugly. On a side note, the V6 Camry only happens when selecting the TRD and XLE models. Clearly, they see the V6 as a niche which only puts the writing on the wall as far its lifespan goes. The next gen Camry will probably forgo it entirely.
  17. We are talking about EVs here, not diesel cars.
  18. I get what you are saying but there hasn’t been any real proof of that just yet and it pretty much qualifies as the “exception to the rule” that I mentioned above.
  19. Those “shifts” will just go to other Asian countries. With very rare exceptions, they sure as hell are not coming here.
  20. Again you are proving why you would never succeed in running any car company. And please show us proof of a Genesis being cheaper to maintain than a Cadillac. You really want to bring up livery sales while touting E Class sales (Also mostly due to fleet sales) earlier? Btw, the XTS was the livery choice, not the CT6. You can’t even get your backhanded insults straight.
  21. Stop stop stop the damn bar moving. One AMG trim E Class doesn’t change the fact that it STARTS at almost $20K lower than a base model Escalade (And with a 190HP four pot to boot). It also proves that there are a few rubes out there if you’re going to pay $125K for a gussied up German taxi. And again, this isn’t about your precious and overpriced Benz. It’s about the Genesis and how it’s a far better deal than the German competition.
  22. Did you seriously just compare a $50K E Class to a $90K Escalade? You really have been brainwashed by that Daimler “logic”. And damn it! There it goes again. Here we have an article and thread about the Genesis G80 and you’re still talking about Daimler like they are paying you by the letter. Scratch everything I said prior that was unrelated to the G80. This is just beyond dumb at this point. F Benz and the sorry excuses you continue to make for them. This is about the Genesis.
  23. So Mercedes best selling models were their absolute cheapest cars. Go figure. That is the result of Buick prices to compete with the lower end market that Cadillac doesn’t have to worry about. That’s was Buick is for. See how your logic is flawed here?
  24. So I’m wondering. Is this yet another endless pissing match about why Benz is better than everything else (even when it’s clearly not), or what is luxury and what is not, or how Benz is slack on the EV front, or is this about the Genesis G80? Asking for a friend.
