    Looking past all the other stuff- I'm going to cut to the meat. This looks good for both: Mazda gets a boost in many ways..including some new product. Toyota might actually be much less bland in the coming years..... In uncertain times ahead-this is a solid match for now....

    Welcome to the tip end, everyone... I don't expect it to get better, as even some good deals going on will go unnoticed... Job fears are creeping up, and every industry is cutting back (as no one knows where things are going) With all the "issues" going on at the top, no one can tell where the economy is going. I was laid off a few months ago from the auto industry-and have watched friends cut from the retail and Health care industry as well.... I normally don't get too personal on here, but I figure it would help understand where I am coming from. People are freaked out....doesn't want to make anyone run out and buy anything, that is for sure. I've gone from picking up a SUV this summer to looking for a cheap used sedan (few years old), as I want to see where things are going first. I think many folks out there feeling the same way I do. If things do improve, then next year might be my SUV year. But playing it safe helps my keep my house and feel my family...just in case! I hate to say our own government may cause a recession here...I can only hope I am wrong. You simply can't make people feel this uncertain,,,,,,

    Well, if he can do more, that's cool... Time will tell...... Scary how much we agree (sometimes)-but marketing is why Caddy is struggling so hard. You need a car guy-and someone who has passion. Johan has neither. Product is solid- but a see product out their that sells pretty well just based on marketing...... That said- helps to have more product to market!

    Oh, I'm not beating up Telsa....believe or not, I actually want to see them succeed.. but their is a PROVEN way to build autos that they fail to follow. And don't get me started on how they treat their suppliers..... And the difference is, he is no steve jobs.....and things can change pretty quick in the auto world. And his ego might burn him hard in the auto industry. And since we mention trends, I remember a little thing called the EV1 that started this whole plug in car thing....

    Yep... With with the giant ego-Telsa is still a bit player. If say Honda or GM needed to get serious about the EV thing, Telsa would not stand a chance. Telsa reminds me how trendy can get you somewhere, like the iphone. Can also bite you hard in the butt as well..... You are confusing passion with his ego. I can tend you that in me dealing with the company. He will get hits on some things, but still knows jack about cars.......
