dumpy looking from the side proportion, but not deal breaker so. This is sort of a half ass effort but its effective since now people will come into a VW showroom again looking for something people actually want in numbers. this can help VW move on from the diesel scandal.

would have been nice to see a better straight side on picture. but overall i don't mind this. It's better than a Prius for example. It energizes their look a bit, even if its a bit awkward. It sort of brings them up to Kia's level. Interior not bad either but does look plasticky. still would not enter my mind for buying one.

hence my question about 'did they make it narrower'. If all they did was stretch the new acadia platform without widening the interior cabin, then its set up for epic fail. Traverse was one of few vehicles out there that truly could fit 3 in the second and third row comfortably. i want to see the hip and shoulder room specs for this new rig, second and third row. Not sure if true but i had heard current Traverse could haul sheets of drywall. Probably not the case now. I can bet that the width is where the space is lost.

the Terrain will be more popular than the Envision no matter what and seeing this new Terrain now helps me to understand that making the Envision in lower numbers in China can make sense.
-
where is -the twin turbo v6 -the specs on the interior width (to make sure they did not make it NARROWER) this may reduce some of the sting of the Acadia f up, design looks passable. More trucky than before.

i understand the custom order thing, and this may be the quintisential vehicle to do that with, but that mode of sales probably kills the chance of half of them selling at all. New car shoppers want to see and touch it.

quite dated, but those out there who need cheap wheels can find new or very slightly used ones for like 13 grand, just don't try to ever trade it in again. another distinction, for those who would want it instead of an outlander sport, but you can get an all wheel drive lancer if you wish. A used AWD Lancer with few miles would be a great car to sell to a college student looking for a cheap payment and AWD for those road trips home in the winter.

i'd enjoy the yard service myself! it's like 20 below today, had to shovel some more that i couldn't blow. did i mention its cold!

well there was 50 bucks off due to off season i think. this particular one, i had a choice of getting one with an electric start, or this one i got with the blade brake. self propelled too, so it was $450. That's not far off the going rate, actually probably a deal since other brands if they have a model with the blade brake they really rape you for it. You can still get some lesser quality push mowers with no propel or any other features for about 200 bucks i think.

Well. Didn't want to get the blower. Wanted to wait another year. Decided wasn't gonna baby the decades old beater anymore Needed to get a new mower last year, but didn't. Planets aligned and picked these up, well they'll get delivered this week. Ariens. The mower has a SUBARU engine! The blower has fuel injection! No choke, no prime, sealed fuel system, no shut off. Can even use E10 in it if you want but i still plan to use only non oxygenated gas in it. Made in US.

Toyota News: There Is A Second-Generation Toyota 86 Coming
regfootball replied to William Maley's topic in Toyota
I think its cool Toyota makes this car, but it's not going to gain market force until it gets a real engine. Shame, because a small car with nuts and rip roaring HP might be a combination for success. Chevy will be forced to start dumping lesser trim Camaros and cutting their base prices, etc. so ultimately whether there is a new FRs or not, it may actually compete straight up on price with those 4 and 6 cyl Camaros....and in that instance, I go Camaro every day of the week. 15's were fire saling for 21, 22 grand and now Chevy wants 27 grand for a 4 banger Camaro. I think if Chevy repackages and rebates those basic 4 cylinder Camaros to leave the showroom at 24 grand after discounts it would be damn hard for the FRS to gain any significant traction too....unless they get some engine in there. -
Industry News: Beepi Reaches the End of the Road
regfootball replied to William Maley's topic in Industry News
having sold cars, i can attest that people feel as though they even need a quick test. For certain they need to touch and feel it. It's not that they don't want to come look at the car, its that they don't want to feel pressured and being stalked doing it. -
What have we done? 2016 Malibu 1LT 1.5t
regfootball replied to regfootball's topic in Member's Rides Showcase
well, turbo and power is well and good, but the super cold temps and snowy week have my current tank of fuel at TWENTY TWO miles per gallon I'm sure my liberal use of the on star remote link ap has something to do with this (love me a warm car) but i have a tendency to think these tiny turbos and super cold don't mix for good mpg. Why have tough mpg all winter that offsets whatever good mpg you get in the other 8-9 months of the year? I'm on board with turbo. I am having second thoughts, maybe the 2.0 was the way to go. Actually, i still go back to small v6 turbo like Fusion Sport. I know, not as good of mpg, The brakes on this car, the pedal, definitely has feel and feedback. In fact, its way too much. VERY firm brake pedal and no slush at the beginning of travel. It's too far in the other direction compared with what a GM owner may be used to. They need to soften it a bit while still maintaining the nice tactility of the pedal. Can't wait for the Buick Regal / Insignia to show itself. Like my Malibu but the slightly nicer interior of the Insignia, the wagon version, and the powertrain options have me thinking. Even with my sedan love and the love of my ride, its possible I will gravitate to a crossover next time around. Or who knows, maybe we will get the wagon here. Maybe i am graying so much that my dream would be the GM version of a Ford Edge clone......(What i would like to see the impala nameplate move to eventually). -
most of the Insignia TV's at Best Buy are LG products is what i recall. Nowadays though, who knows,

Chevrolet News:2017 Chevrolet Cruze Diesel To Begin At $24,670
regfootball replied to William Maley's topic in Chevrolet
please refer to recent thread about smart car spending and the discussion of MSRP's going through the roof. It's true, 26k for a CRUZE? (even if it's a diesel)......... And about the time one gets a Cruze diesel, somehow magically, diesel will shoot up to 5 bucks a gallon..... I have to admit though I am really curious to see how these turn out... that include huge EPA fines? LOL -
Dodge News: Dodge Challenger Adds All-Wheel Drive for 2017
regfootball replied to William Maley's topic in Dodge
Why the Challenger sells is due to its heritage Mopar styling AND ITS SIZE. Now that the Camaro and Mustang are lilliputes, and no one can inhabit them, the Challenger is more of a luxury GT. Some folks like to use their car year round and in this case, since the Charger is ugly, the real mopar fans can finally get the nicer looking car AND NOT have to keep it in the garage in winter. think older baby boomers who maybe just want this as a second car, for looks only, and really don't give a fuck about whether its heavy or whether they will lap the Nurburgring. This is the car you take to Madison to go see a football game on a fall weekend when your kid starts his first day of college.- 83 replies
