1. Nice to see it with production headlights...must be lower trim level since they look pretty simple compared to the production headlights we saw before with halos.
2. I wonder if smk ever gets tired of being wrong?
3. Last I heard the 3.6 was the base engine for the Camaro. I don't know what reality you pull your information from, but it's not this one. Until official pecs are released, anything we haven't see regarding powertrains are just rumors.
4. Well you know, except for the fact that Acura now is putting that huge, ugly shield grill on all of their cars now.
5. That's a lot of torque. That poor Ram though!
6. A friend's older sister bought one. It looks very sharp, love the wheels. Looks just like this:
7. QUOTE(Satty @ Jul 11 2008, 11:12 AM) Ugg, I remember when we hired some Amish to do the kitchen floor, they did a great job but smelled really bad. Only housework planned is a new air conditioner, but that probably wont come until the fall. The better half would like to do some expanding, add an extra room, but that seems like it would be a far bigger hassle than just buying a bigger house. Since you've done hardwoord floors, is it just cutting them to fit and they lock into place with the grooves? Or is there more. never done it, so any advice would be great.
8. Despite the age of the thread I guess it's appropriate for the time. We're going to be moving very soon, and whatever house we buy will need some kind of work. I've done house work before, mainly painting, changing ceiling lamps, sockets, switches, and fauscets. Also done some wood staining/finishing. I've also repaired the side porch, done some carpeting, and a few other stuff. I like that sort of thing. Never done tiling or hardwood floors, nor have I done plumbing, heating or electrical work. Hardwood floors don't look too hard, but I've never done it, and I'm not sure about tile, which are 2 things we'll probably be doing at the new house, or at least tiling.
9. I always thought the current TL was a very handsome looking car. This, not so much. It's a rather anonymous design that's trying to liven up by shoving a big shield on its face.
10. Source: AutoBlog Thought I'd throw our own poll in for fun.
11. I dunno if it's ok to post the image or not, if it isn't just take it down. Anyway, based on the photos that is a damn good looking CUV so far, and not "for a Kia", compared with any of the ones on the market right now. It's not ground breaking, but it's far better looking than several of the current crop of CUVs. Interior looks nice too. Kia's designs are better than Hyundai's at this point.

13. This thread = The interior would look alright in an Aveo. That's it.
14. Just to clarify, when I said I wondered if BMW would sue, it wasn't for the designs, but for the M names. I know there's been a couple legal skirmishes over alphanumeric names before between automakers.
15. Well I was more referring to the M1, M3, M5 names.
16. I wonder if BMW will sue...
17. Silly me, I forgot about the Jeeps Really the only crappy one of the lineup is the Compass. Everything else fits the brand and looks pretty good. They do need better interiors though, except the Wrangler, since the interior fits it's tough image.
18. Quick question, and while I do agree with most of the lineup is sub-par, what do you think of the LX cars, Vioer, and new Ram? Besides being out of place in this era of panic and $4 gas of couse.
19. Thing is, when Zeta was on and the prospects of the return to RWD for teh Implala, the G8, G8 ST, Zeta Buick,a nd premium Zeta Cadillac were around, and before GM began to panic and start canceling and not making productive decisions (or decisions at all), things began to turn egative. This was only reenforced by the constant news of GM being too busy fighting with itself, and manager's personal agendas, rather than working as a team to make a comback. The logic seems bass akwards. If they wanted to steal thunder, they would officially anounce a high performance model, or release specs, or something like taht, not start a rumor of cancelation.
20. In an unrelated note, FOG, I find your signature offensive but not for the reason you may think.
21. You don't get better without admitting mistakes and learning from them. It is a lot more negative than it used to be, but times are tougher now and the company in question seems to be acting irratinal and at times downright stupid.
22. Both?
23. I really can't be that hard. It takes money I know, but the formal for a good car is something GM has been oblivious to for the most part since the 70's. Make it ride ride good Make it handle at least decently Make it stop on par with the class Make the steering at least decentt Make it refined sounding Give it powertrains that don't lag 10 years behind everyone else Make it look nice outside Make it look nice inside and use nice materials Don't let it rot on the market for 10 years This formula isn't that hard, but has apparently been elusive to all 3 of the Domestics with only a few exceptions (which surprise, surprise, sold well).
