  1. Well, I've got a girlfriend so that's not gonna happen, plus I've got my car so I'm not exactly hurtin' for a ride. Didn't they try fusing a Civic withs something else too?
  2. Probably not, although I'm not quite making the connection.
  3. Heard of it but didn't watch the show much because they do horrible things to cars.
  4. So....could I in theory have the rusted parts (dog legs), cut off another Shadow and welded onto this one? Aren't those the points where they put the lifts to raise the car?
  5. :rotflmao:
  6. I've seen 3 new Focuses, a dark blue, light blue, and a gold one. 2 new Liberties, one deep red and one dark green
  7. Yeah, but hey, it starts every time, the A/C works and so does heat, oh and the doors close.
  8. Astra 3-door FTW.
  9. I've been holding off on showing it, but what the hell, we're using it now so here we go. It's a 1990 Chrysler Town and Country. This was a gift to my mom for Christmas from a family friend's father. My mom's friend's husband's father to be exact. Not confusing at all! Anyway, he's an older gentleman, in his 70's or so. The story goes that he was driving down the middle of the road an apparently hit something, or multiple things...I have no idea what. As it turns out the police found out and followed him all the way home without him even realizing it. When he got home and got out the police (3 cars BTW) asked him to hand over his license. So he lost his license, it was given to mom as a gift. It's got the 3.3L V6, wood trim outside, tan interior with leather surfaces, Infinity sound system, thermometer, Compass (two things I don't even have). It also has dual zone climate control with adjustments for the middle row. He took pretty good car of it. Engine runs great and transmission works very well too. Fluids are good, tires are new, he has lots of spare parts that were included. It also has, interestingly a spot light mounted on the A-pillar that can turn all the way around to face the rear. Power everything too. Surprisingly, not much rust is on the car, it just needs work up front where it was hit. Story's not over yet. She brought it to the Mechanic's Thursday to have it inspected and the fluids checked and stuff and get the headlight housing replaced. He wasn't able to get the part (still hasn't) and so it was left overnight. That night some piss of $h! kid broke into it and 3 other cars, broke the window, stole the little bad that looked kind of like a purse that held spare parts in it, and ripped out part of the center console (braking it). Window was replaced free of charge but the console is messed up. So now I have to fix it. Anyway, here's a few photos, I'll take more later.
  10. Here's some photos I took today while it's sitting in the garage. You may note the antifreeze on the floor. This is what 19 years of New England winters do to a car.
  11. How's it drive?
  12. The automatic version of your car turns at like 1,800 rpm at 80 does it? Wow, that's very poor gearing. With a gear less my autobox turns in about a thousand less rpms than that.
  13. By the way, where'd you find that cool pic of the Camaro?
  14. That's a good idea, it's what I do when I don't shave for more than a week. Well, I use my Norelco's trimmer to do the tough stuff, and the Fusion to do the fine tuning, since it cuts a closer shave than the shaver does.
  15. That's sucky.
  16. Buy a Fusion, you know the thing that inspired your car's name and design. Works great, I have like 3, the company has sent me 2 free ones since I bought one...should have aited to buy I guess.
  17. F$cking Funny as F$ck.
  18. Why do you hate that thing so much? The auto-wash nearby isn't touchless, and as a result has worn much of the chrome off of the side badges on my car . The only touchless I know of doesn't have underbody spray.
  19. Ford needs to hire some, or all, of their designers from Europe to work stateside, or send the American team on a pilgrimage to Europe to see how it's done. I mean, look at the Escape (although sales are up, good for it), and then look at the Kuga. It's not a bad looking vehicle, and I for one am amazed that sales are up after an MCE OF a fairly old trucklet, but it doesn't break any new ground, and hardly stands out in the market. Image how well something exciting to look at like the Kuga would sell in a land of CUV that look rather weird like the CR-V or bland.
  20. I may pull it out today and have a look. There's some pretty nasty visible rust, we'll see what it looks like under there.
  21. You missed the point. It's pathetic that the car's only merit is the Sync system. That's it. It's average at best in terms of power and dynamics, while being ugly on the outside and cheap on the inside. Nice way to sneak a shot at Chrysler BTW. You're so predictable in that you'll defend to the death a crappy Ford product for the same reasons you'll bash a competitor's product. When it debuted, MyGig was and and still is a less common "cool" feature that combines HD based Navigation with 20 Gigs to store your music on, instead of having to use an mp3 player. How about UConnect hands free cell phone technology? Sirius Satellite e TV, another distinguishing feature. All are very cool features, yet you'll bitch and moan like a teenager on PMS because the plastics aren't up to par, yet the bitching is conspicuously absent in a product like the Focus, which has a cheap, rather dull looking interior.
  22. Well, whenyou care about your car that's the idea, yes.
  23. And I suppose this Focus has styling mojo? Please, unless by "mojo" you mean "ugly" then sure, it has that in spades. Oh well, at least it has a selling point, and I suspect Sync is the main reason people buy these things. Sure, it's cool and good for Ford they've got such a hot feature, but one shouldn't be buying a car for it's cool feature alone.
  24. Correction, it has a small, peculiar rust spot, on the upper part pf the driver's door frame. Very small and no idea how it got there, it's been there since I bought it. Eventually I want to touch it up, for now I plan to buy some of that nifty 3M tape to protect it.
