  1. '70 Continental Mark III 4-dr sedan, 1 of 2 built ~
  2. Being BOF or UB is immaterial here, despite it's mention above. A "Silverado SS" with a 6.2L is not going to be in the same high performance ballpark as a Camaro SS. IMO, the SS nameplate should be kept to truly well-rounded Hi-Po vehicles (this, despite the fact that the first SS was merely a trim package and could be had as an anemic I6).
  3. Sure, with the highest population, your going to see the highest revenues. But CA was only #9 on median income in 2015.
  4. 1949 Ford convert, bone stock & minty restored, driving for some miles behind me to a local Friday night cruise in.
  5. Tesla's March sales were down 39% vs. February's. - - - - -
  6. Guess we're doing all those things right now; why'd they wait to sue?
  7. ONLY if it's at least 210" long with Brocade upholstery options and a 4 body trunk. Putting it on a cramped, plasticy subcompact CUV with mood lighting & Apple car play would be an utter travesty. Some things should just be left alone. How many people live in Denver CO? That's how many thumbs down (times 2 of course) I'd give toward the idea of using 'Electra'. "It's derived from a fossil fuel destroying jet, but it sounds like 'electric' so it's great!" Frankly, it's hard to puzzle out how simplistic & dumbed down the consumer has become. 'Car 1', 'Car A', 'Car A1', 'Car Type A'. Pathetic.
  8. 15 years?? Right now only 15% can name a car subscription service. It will slowly add to the buying/leasing mix, but it may never "replace" purchasing, ever.
  9. maybe daimler is looking to create another G - make the GLE & GLS go without changes for 45 years. "Makin' it iconic."
  10. Can't take a jet everywhere or at a moment's notice. And no- all bentley owners don't also own a jet. Where do you come up with these fantasy non-realities? Point is/was " if you're spending $250K on a EV, shouldn't it at least get the same MPGe as a nissan?
  11. Bentley sold about 2400 vehicles in 2017. EVs/ plug-ins are about 1% of the market. 1% of 2400 is 24 units, or 2/mnth. No one is crying over a lack of Bentley EVs. That aside, a car in this price tier should be offering 500 miles on E power, or literally don't bother.
  12. Indeed : the front pans aren't dropped.
  13. Hm-mmm..... um; what? ?
  14. Ford Model A w/ rumbleseat, dark red, rollin in commuter traffic. circa '64 Chevy II 2-dr, white, very clean, big tires out back, behind garage. '62-64 Corvair Monza convert, white top over black, very clean, on car carrier.
  15. A Polara- different fins than the Dart. I still drive by a Quonset hut garage out in the country where I vividly remember looking at a med blue '60 Dart Seneca 2-dr sedan for sale, with back-up light deletes and a transplanted 383. That would've been right about 1988.
  16. I took the 'VW 911' pic above, but the vast majority of the pics I post in here are from the web. RE the Packard, the pics I have of it came off of Craigslist, where I frequently just search by -say- "1948" (or a bunch of years from late '40s thru mid '60s), and I only bother to search my area... so that one was in Jersey, yes. :D
  17. Not a huge lovefest for the 'bathtub' Packards (to which I would concur). They are well built and the I8 was buttery smooth, but IMO they just had no snap, pizazz or moxie. So when I see one (this is a 1948 Super 8), sometimes my mind's eye wanders. I think the I8 could be moved rearward, making it a mid-engined Packard 'Road Slug' :

  19. Hooo baby :
  20. A beautiful design from any angle. That's a '72 (no decklid louvers, offset rear plate) - same year car I had (smacked, but gave up it's powertrain for my '59). I've seen a bunch of this gen where people split the front bumper ALA the RS Camaro of the same years. Yep- all boattails had 455s.
  21. MA per capita revenue is $12,011. NJ per capita revenue is $12,564. Yes; both suck but Jersey can brag it's #2 on this list. ?
  22. I would strongly doubt suicide doors could be done in any passable engineering way south of a next generation body.
