Pffft: the standard so-called "LWB" adds like 2-3 measly inches to the WB. I'm talkin' 'bout a heritage wheelbased ATS : 144".

Anything that gets us away from nursery school naming conventions, AKA: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 Cadillac does not need a sub-ATS. They're in the same price segment as the CLA but they're ABOVE it in price & product. Great bottom line, now move upward while MB is busy moving DOWN. Cadillac also does not need to ape every move MB/BMW make. -
LOL. - - - - This is marketing fallacy : naming a successful flagship after a just-shuttered failure of a brand. No one remembers either 'pullman' or 'grosser', so there's no cache' there, but dfelt is right; the latter is juvenile-sounding name. Daimler should just tack another alpha-numeric on it - that seems to resonate well with the typical MB buyer. Better yet; skip the marketing millions and just make the s-class better by having whatever left-over features from the maybach under the option list of the S. It needs a shot in the arm anymore.

that was it, yes. As to being 'worth it' - it depends on what you are looking for! It was not large, tho there was a little of everything. I get nervous when venues are small (I'd never been there before, but because I never heard of it, I knew it was small), because I don't believe vendors with vintage stuff will show, but they were the bulk of the stuff there. My bottom line is- it makes for a nice January diversion for the gearhead, and the food we ate in the 'food court' building was damned fine, those Amish know how to whip up some grub. I didn't buy anything, but I usually don't.

'68 Chevy C-10, dark red w/ white roof, super sano, for sale at a January swap meet, Allentown PA. Same place : '66 Malibu coupe, surface rust but solid, needed in & out resto, asking $8800. '63 Corvair Greenbriar van, blue w/ white stripe, cherry, for sale. I forget the year, perhaps a '32 American Austin, ex circus clown car, 40-yr old resto, blue & white, asking 12,900 IIRC.

Saw a very clean, silver 2nd gen Olds Aurora. I was at a light, it was in a side lot, facing me head on. It really isn't an attractive car at all.

Has a strong retro feel to it, perhaps it's the lack of wedge in the body fore-to-aft. Looks like it has a bunch of interesting little details to entertain that don't show well in pics. The vented A-pillar is something all manufacturers should implement. Forward visibility has gotten incrementally worse over the last few decades. Color is atrocious.

I have a older NOS AC Delco in-tank pump left over from my '94, PN 12356976. In the box- never installed. See if that number jives for the 4.9L. V8 pump theory is worth checking out.

Seems like good suggestions. Not sure how one safely checks fuel flow at the PSI FI engines run at. Replacement pump certainly may be bad, too.

The newer ones ARE (in general) the heavier ones tho. Pickups used to be around 4000 lbs, now they cluster around 6000. IOW; it's not the weight either way that has anything to do with crash results.

Performance sounds excellent, has a nice heritage look, but it's visually 90% a Mustang. For coin of that level, I expect something unique. Just buy a Shelby. I'm not one to brandy around the term 'deal breaker', but those speedo numbers look extremely poorly done.

And no one champions their truck's weight as a reason they bought, either. Nonsense. -- -- -- -- -- Severely disappointed to see the shifter on the console. Just so faddish in a truck. Next up- a rear spoiler for downforce.

Thanks. I worked, got to witness a police raid across the street from the job site, quickly informed the client I have to charge him Combat Rate. No gunfire, but I still kept the entire length of a Silverado 2500HD between me and the action. Another day, another year.

Clearly, Ford is quite successful overall WRT their truck lines, so design elements for those that purchase them obviously works well. F-150 is a very capable & contemporary vehicle you can build a thousand different ways & punish with hard usage for decades, that's what it's known for.

Prep would be key. Pressure should not pop JBW off- they claim you can drill & tap it (I've not tried that claim out). Not having seen your leak, I would put any sort of chemical mix (like JBW) in a 360-band around that elbow so it adheres to itself.

Right, but it's MUCH older than even that. The 'Innovation Bucket' is just about empty these days. I am a fan of Ford trucks historically, I've had 4 to date. The first pics of the Platinum I thought looked pretty nice from the front, a bit garish from the rear. But not liking the blacked out look much at all (I assume thats the XL). Same physical shapes, highlighted in a much different way. Need more real world pics, esp of intermediate trims.

^ I patched a leak in an oil pan (rust) and it held fine for the 2 years before the vehicle was sold. I was really careful with my prep tho. It worked after a NAPA gas tank patch kit failed on the same spot. I've heard generally very good reviews of it.

JB Weld a no go? I may stop by the small local junkyard this week - I'll see if they have a GP. I was there a month ago looking for one (we have an '03 here), zilch, but they have a steady turn-over.
