  1. Nothing new, just keeping up with the same. I used to drink diet sodas years back, but the artificial sweeteners are toxic to my joints. I seldom have any (regular) soda now. Iced tea tho, is a regular weakness. I 'm sure I ingest more liquid sugar than I should, and that's bad. I do weigh myself every day or 2 and adjust/monitor my intake if the number moves up. It helped when I bought an accurate, digital scale. More frequent, smaller portions definitely is a good route to go. After losing about 18 lbs almost 4 years ago, I have stayed within 5 lbs of that since. That said, I would really like to go 10 lbs lighter. Apparently, my 'wall' is quite formidable tho.
  2. ^ That one is pretty bad. I still notice these, and the above is the worse one I've seen for rot. Mine had just started to bubble over the rear wheels @ 146K but the front fenders were 100%.
  3. Looks identical to Ford's earlier Deep Forest Green. I had an F-150 XL Special in that color (the below is not my truck) :
  4. ^ a-HA! You pegged it Roger! That's the one I saw :
  5. It certainly isn't vanilla. Unfortunately, it also certainly isn't appealing.
  6. This is the same general discussion that circled around black boxes, no? Seems privacy rights are a quaint notion from a bygone era. Stay off the grid as much as possible.
  7. Reflections definitely would tilt it, but this one was in the middle of an acre of blacktop. ocn needs to start other singular color threads; I'll post a bunch of pics...
  8. (Via Edmunds...) looks like the Challenger is 2013 Granite Crystal. Some googl shots it totally looks grey, but others it has a green sheen to it to my eye... but then again I've been told my green/grey/brown filter is off-kilter. RE: the Taurus... I see nothing '14-10 that shows the color I saw today.
  9. Noted 2 new vehicles today, a Challenger R/T that was wearing a dark grey/green shade, and a Taurus that had a very dark green, slmost black color (but where the sun hit it, it definitely was a dark green)... but I don't see either color on the OEM's websites... must be hues not from 2014 & no longer offered. The Challenger's was especially nice. Anyone seen these?
  10. toyota has very likely been the cause of more waking nightmares than all other brands combined.
  11. ^ How is that not the same exact thing; that all LD vehicles would have cameras? Who cares who mandates it?
  12. This is a reference to their (inter??)national tagline of a few years back, right? The automotive Freudian slip of the decade. And look : the link shows the newest segment mercedes is slipping down into ; PEDAL CARS!
  13. Because some people don't want a Corvette. This concept can't be that elusive....
  14. CLA is pulling in the nissan/toyota family sedan crowd- after all; pricewise its going to get crossshopped with cam/cord/tima/bu's. This is where the management @ Daimler felt the brand 'needed' to be taken (in the Relentless Pursuit of Volume). Looking forward to see just how downmarket their push will go; more FWD appliances for the masses!
  15. If your looking for a factory speaker, I have an NOS in-door unit in the box, previous owner wrote it's for a 2001 Cherokee. Part number is 56008751.
  16. The current Camaro portfolio shares nothing with where the Camaro of yore was besides the name. If it was still a coupe with Nova underpinnings (to a degree), starting off with a 105-HP 250 CI six (top 350 was only 155 HP in '75)... IF the current car NOW was anything like where the pale shadow performance car the Camaro was in the mid '70s was THEN, griping about the price would totally be justified. However, those harping on the price, linking it ONLY to the 'Camaro' nameplate and an outmoded ideal that Chevy should be selling 250,000 units is so far off base they're in the parking lot. Look at it this way; you can moan there's no serious track package available OR you can thank GM for building one and who the F cares how many they sell; it's there for those who want to shred most everything on the road...., but you can't do both. And I'll bet a much higher percentage of the Z/28s will get road raced than whatever equivalent ferrari will. Talk about garage queens...
  17. nicely put into perspective, Z! On those notes, it's priced well for a very serious performance machine.
  18. I'd take that bet. Cadillac's portfolio doesn't scream VOLUMEVOLUMEVOLUME like a certain german brand. Unless you are aware that Cadillac plans to slap one of their grilles on a Chevy Express...
  19. I think the convertible top eliminates one of the coolest features of the KR :
  20. ^ If your brand mission is mass market mainstream commonality, I guess you call that 'success'.
  21. If vehicles are going to have car-to-car communications, why not bypass the mandatory cameras and instead mandate 'chipping' all minors. This way the car can 'recognize' a nearby kid, plus kidnapping will be "eliminated'. Every new 'nanny tech' idea-of-the-month' floated keeps increasing my desire to again have a '60s car as a DD.
  22. This site is pretty close; it's how I've been posting this info: http://paintref.com/paintref/index.shtml Once you get to the individual listing, such as : http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcodedisplay.cgi?ditzler=50573&rows=50&syear=1960&smanuf=GM&smodel=Cadillac&sname=Heather there are links to the left 'G'oogle, 'B'ing, 'Y'ahoo, which usually take you to search-engine returned hits for the color name, but I have seen a handful of clicks return nothing that looks like the color. Sometimes there's a red 'X' right on the little color block which shows a car with that shade, too. But what's cool is you click on -say- the Ditzler number, and you can see when/where that color formulation was used elsewhere. In later years (starting in the '60s I believe), there's a specific GM color code link, too. Check it Bill; 161 pages of green hues : http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcodedisplay.cgi?gncl=Green
  23. '64-only, Chevy/ Pontiac/ Olds, Gulfstream Aqua at Pontiac : '62-64, 5 Divisions, Aquamarine at Pontiac in '63 : '58-only, Pontiac only, Calypso Green : '57-only, Pontiac only, Limefire Green :
  24. ^ I did a double-take; thought it was a Chevette at first.
