Chinese-Built Buick Envision Packs Bags For The US
Cmicasa the Great replied to Cmicasa the Great's topic in Buick
Point is there are other markets.. and essentially how Toyota.. who was in turmoil in China.. has made their nut. GM should exercise the Monroe Doctrine.. put so much product down South, Central America that they want nothing else. OZ??? Pretty much Holden only.. why no Cadillacs??? They Want them. Why no Corvettes or Camaros?? They want them. -

Its Truth to beholding. Americans want more jobs.. and a return to unprecedented prosperity??? Stop supporting foreign makes from all industries. People want to bitch about this Buick taking a few American jobs.. cool.. I get why.. But they need to keep in mind that Americans have a propensity to buy anything that they hear is coming from a foreign land. Its a self-fulfilling prophecy. Anyone remember the Yugo? How about the Hyundai Excel? It was proven that these were the $h!tiest cars in creation... yet.. Americans still bought the Yugo to the tune of almost 150K units. The Excel?? Well that led to what is now one of the largest vehicle makes selling in the U.S. I won;t even get into the Toyotas.. Datsuns.. Hondas.. VWs that could have been stopped at the shores decades before.. Americans did this this $h! to themselves.. This was a Yugo.. The Yugo always.. even when coming off the showroom floor looked like this.. Dirty. It was as if the salesmen were told to kick it.. and then rub dirt all over it with a touch of sandpaper to dull the finish.. which was really nothing more than Water-Color paint -

China is just another market.. its no savior. Open a real market in non-white markets in Africa and carmakers will be shipping vehicles there and vice-vice versa. In fact.. why so much time is spent catering to the Chinese in terms of investment dollars is beyond me at this point.. U have 1.3 Billion, but there are only 109 million Chinese with wealth of between $50,000 and $500,000. In the U.S.. about 60 Million are in that number.. but we have a population of 320 Million. I don't fear the Chinese.. the Chinese should fear the Chinese. -
2016 CES: Chevrolet Bolt, Now in Production Form! :Comments

Looks so much better than that froggish Nissan Leaf. Great job GM... and like the 2016 Volt owners getting minimum 15% more in EV driving (from my readings)... I could easily see reports of this coming in at 230... The Revolution Will B Televised!!! The Revolution Will B Televised!!! The Revolution Will B Televised!!! The Revolution Will B Televised!!! Figured they would do this to the vehicle.. and I half expect the next Enclave to take this course as in the U.S. In reality the only disadvantage of AWD systems coming out of GM these days is typically the added weight. Take the Encore I recently picked up.. according to C&D.. the difference between the weight of the FWD and AWD is 3250 / 3370 lb.. 120lbs. That extra 120 puts fuel economy at 25/33 mpg / 23/30 mpg, but their observations were spot on 24/24mpg for both. Where they observed an actual difference came in with acceleration.. 9.3 sec / 10.0 sec. Thing is that the Envision has incorporated GM's newest weight saving philosophy.. whatever that is. I expect a decent performer in all ways. D2XX/D2UX is 200lbs lighter in all applications thus far including the upcoming Cruze

^^^^ Enthusiasts. They always want what they won't buy. I don't consider myself an enthusiasts anymore... because I like to buy what I ask the makers to make. That being said. Looks damn sweet. Looks better than any Mazda 3, even its heyday. Zero reason why this should not also translate into Buick getting the Verano Hatch.. aka Astra. Side note. Why won't Chevy bring out an SS and lay waste to the Focus ST and onward to the RS with an AWD version? With the proper drivetrain, I'm betting that the 200lb drop might put this already in league with the ST. Wait... when did this happen? "powered by a 1.4-liter turbocharged inline-four engine, with 153 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque" Anyway... 2.0L would put a hurtin on a certain Ford

December 2015: General Motors Co.

The German 2 have the right product mix adding as many CUVs. Cadillac... this is what U should be doing. 45% of your offerings should be CUVS.. and that's with at least a whopping 16 products to sell versus your measly 6. It truly makes the idiot in me... the IDIOT.. in me wonder how the hell is Mercedes outselling Cadillac 2:1 (343K vs 175K) with not just double.. but 10 more vehicle available to the buying public.. in more variants to boot How is that even possible?? and would that have more to do with the Benz brand being supposedly better and not just having more product? So the question remains... if Caddy had 16 products.., not 6, even with the variations they currently have of their products (no diesel.. not one effin convertible.. no wagon) would they be able to sell at least equal to Benz?- 61 replies

Like I said earlier.. 3500 ATS sales on the sedan, coupe, and VSeries. Imagine another bump with a Convertible.. a diesel, and a wagon. I dunno what the eff BMW is putting in the 3/4series buyers coffee, but those things are becoming so common that I see as much as I do Camrys. Zero exclusivity... Zero. Good problem to have as BMW.. not so great as a luxury car buyer IMO- 61 replies

I think it will be a new Buick.. possibly the new Verano or Avenir production car. Lambdas are also set for a debut as the new models are coming soon. We could all be wrong... and GM ballz up and pushes out a new GMC Hummer concept- 61 replies

^^^ This. I've thrown this out at him before but he always shrugs it off like its no big deal. Its a prime reason why U see later model S-Class daily.. used dealers are selling a 2-3 year old model for the same price that one could buy a new E-Class or comparable segment mate for. I think that is part of the reason why Cadillac went the route they are with the CT6. They are quite possibly trying to tackle a great deal of fish on the market.. including used flagship pricing alternatives.

Please.. that POS. It backseat is slightly smaller than the M3 despite the rest of it being superior in every imaginable way. I won't touch it until its backseat ca accommodate a line-backer, or at the very least.. a loser of a friend who has to ride in the back because they can't buy their own ride.

Pretty much what I continue to believe.. the XTS is taking sales from the CTS. That being said.. the CTS and XTS should be complimentary vehicles going forward.. with the CTS, or its replacement really more of an E-Class/CLS class type of relationship. Once the CT6 arrives full on.. the next gen XTS should be the CT5, while the CTS gets a designation of CT7.. a A7/CLS/6Series GC, kinda of 4 door coupe 3500 ATS sales on the sedan, coupe, and VSeries. Imagine another bump with a Convertible.. a diesel, and a wagon. Note to Caddy: When XT5 arrives.. keep SRX. Give it the name XT4. Sell it a few ticks cheaper.. change styling slightly to resemble the new gen of A&S. Watch that 21K sales last month go to an instant 26K without even including the CT6 Buick did awesome.. and count me in as one of those Encore sales. Envision is gonna find good money when it arrives. Chevy and GMC... 939,198 pickups vs Ford's 780,354 ?? Good GOD. GM Trax and Encore are bringing them in. Nox and Terrain are super strong, with the K2XX SUVs overall super strong. Much praise to the Colorado and Canyon.. and props to the Lambdas Awesome job GM.- 61 replies

A CTS-VSport.. no.. CTS-V is more mine Aren't those different classes of cars? Smaller vs mid size(or something like that). Couldn't a C400 be more comparable to..nothing Caddy has - yet. What could Cadillac throw in the ATS to make a V-Sport? Or is the 335hp in the ATS comparable? Honestly, I don't know. That's why I'm asking. Yup.. He did say "C." I was somehow still thinking we were in "E" segment.. my bad. Then I should have said ATS 3.6L or ATS-V...

William.. it looks like a fun outting. -
I was thinking the same thing. Nothing about this car looks extraordinary. People try tog give Caddy a hard time about the Alphas and Omega looking similar. Benz officially has a Small, Medium and Large thing going on with the C, E, and S Class. I won;t even get into the failed attempt by the CLA to steal from the CLS... Bottom line.. I keep askin myself.. HOW THE EFF IS THIS A BRAND TO ASPIRE TO?

I'm think that GM may... or should come up with a modular, changeable clip on bumper set-up that can be removed and reattached for those who are in need of off-road clearance capabilities

I dunno about that. The Colorado 7 looks a lot like the current Colorado.. and tho there are differences.. they could easily be tweaked to align properly with the pick-up. Then again.. the Silverado doesn't exactly look like a twin to the Tahoe/Suburban either

Blazer name was just trademarked... Looks like Chevy is getting itself some extra help.. probably about the current Equinox's size.. or slightly larger.. maybe on the tail of the Colorado 7. We all kno that Cadillac is getting a new under and over XT5 in 2017-18 Buick Envision.. but when the EFF is the truck brand GMC's vehicles gonna show their face?
