these lawsuits happen all the time... your are talking about a company that brings in revenue of almost 200 billion a year... lawsuits are accounted for in the budget of the vehicles... they dont assume they are going to build 9 million cars a year without pissing some people off or making a mistake... its gonna happen... just the only thing is, if you know of a problem dont ever put it in writting like ford did with the pinto & the exploding gas tank...

most dealerships do 2-3k 'back of book' so if it's trade in value or wholesale value is 20k then they will try to get it 2-3k less for reconditioning porposes or if it needs to be wholesaled they sure dont want to lose any money on it...

we've did 80 between friday and tonight... and that doesnt count our sister store, they probably did another 25-30 cars... here at the dealership our sales people can make anywhere from 2-20k a month... like one salesman sold 21 cars last month, he'll probably gross around 20k... we've got about 40 salespersons and each makes anywhere from 50-80k a year, we used to have many that would make 120k a year, but those have long since been promoted, or left because a promotion wasnt avalible... dont know if you guys are straight sales or have closers, but that will change your pay... and as far as having a great month, our management is upset if we sell less the 350 cars a month... and its been a while since we've done that... the biggest since i've been at the store was 550 in july of last year... GMS for all!

would you rather some more firesales, or complicated incentive programs? or a short term loss in sales to improve brand perception...

can you imagine once GM starts to regain market share, that 1500$ will just disapear, and with all the buy outs recently, that figure might have just changed...

BMW would be a conflict of intrest, Cadillac is supposed to be the the most luxurous cars in the world... GM already has all the brands it needs to cover every catagory... it just needs to market each brand properly... GM just canned oldsmobile because they are bloated, and many analyst think that pontiac and buick are also on their way out... so if GM can hardly manage its own, what makes you think it can take on more?

Kirk is his own prisoner, hes the one that put York on the board, hes the one who made the decision to purchase the shares, hes the one who decided to take out a loan for 500 million to pay for additional shares... and if hes almost bankrupt because he cant touch his money, whos fault is that? you want to invest you want to be part of the worlds largest corperation, you want to have your fingers in the till? and you want to complain?

Well we noticed our first jump in sales today, not sure if its entirely based on the 0% or if it was all the advertisement but we cranked out 40 cars today... not to shabby to start off the month... hopefully it will maintain like that for the next 3 days

Ghosn is NOT a long term leader... he makes things look good by making short cuts, and speeding things up... but as you can see his reputation at Nissan is quickly deminishing...

the Nissan/Renault i beleive is not as successful as it seems... Goshen has stressed speedy development, and has created a unreliable product base... also he has manipulated his dealership network to seem good to shareholders...

well... people have to buy them here and ship them there... i dont see why a dealer network in japan wouldnt work to GM's advantage? remember lexus is struggling in japan... its not that everyone hates GM...

their cars are in direct competition, its a conflict of intrest for the companys to be allies... and 20% more then just profit sake... GM doesnt need any help, if they want to colaberate with their technologys they can discuss that and just make a pact... you didnt see GM BMW and DCX make any major investments durring the two mode hybrid they all co-developed.... or the 6speed transmission Ford & GM built... This isnt about profits, because in my eyes there are better ways to spend approximately 4-5 billion to seek intrest... This isnt about research and Development, that can be done with simple agreements... This isnt about Kirk selling his shares, cause he cant... This isnt about rebadging vehicles cause GM already has enough watered down vehicles, and Nissan also has a few of its own one thing this would do... is open a gateway to hell for GM to place seige on the japanese market tho... the extremely profitable one for the japanese automakers... it would allow Nissan&Ranualt access to all of GM's dealer network... & vice virsa, but i think its to nissans benifit, but perhaps GM could benifit from a japanese market...

now that i remember, Kirk Cannot change his majority shares with york on the board... he is now an insider... Kirk Cannot sell... so what are his other motives? are they to frighten amercan investors? people who actually have pride in American corperations?

any merger of the top 8-9 automakers would be disasterous...even a 20% stake could be devistating... thats all GM had in suzuki, and GM was pretty much calling the shots... as long as that 20% intrest gets the majority intrest of the board members it might as well be 100% merger

havent seen a change in business... we're hoping to hit 100+ cars for the 5 day weekend, we did 100 last year for a 4 day weekend... if you dont want 72 get 60 months then... you can get it on 36,48,60, or 72 thre might be a few i missed... but you can always pay toward pricipal... and Employee discounts were always rebates + discounts and 0% is always in lui of rebates... so... in order to get an employee discount, just push to get a discount... and you'll have your savings... if you need any advice pm me...

this would only make things worse for both of them... combined they would be the largest company by far, the worlds largest corperation... it would be a mess, it would be nice if ford would sponsor GM to do some research... ( i think GM does a better job at R&D) and they could split the costs, making it cheaper per vehicle to design things... but in todays market you cant have 2 massive corperations merge, because there is already a product overlap at both manufcatures...and combining either nissan & GM or Ford or any combination would be suicidal... DCX worked because Chrysler was based on volume and Damlyr-Benz was not... Nissan and Runault worked because they started making fast & less thought out decissions, Ranault again is european based, and nissan is elsewhere, so their sales dont conflict... it just helps to have a global alliance, that way you can split costs of reseach, but once you have 2 guys on the same fighting feild running around trying to sell to the same guy your going to waste research and development money... example, look at suzuki and Izusu, they were almost completely GM vehicles or GMDaewoo... GM's pawns... but GM made sure they would never conflict with the sales...

imho if GM does a 300 HP v6 it ought to be better rating then 19/25 their LS4 does 18/28 a V6 should be lighter and should be able to attain better fuel ecconomy...

GM's technology is already spread thin between GM's lines... it doesnt need to have more brands to cover... I think one thing here is Nissan-Renault wants to cling to GM dealerships around the world so they can expand... and make things easier... This is another thing i dont want to see... it would cost GM a lot of money to maintain control of a company, basically having to go private, or buy a majority share of the company to keep other large investors away...

Nissan makes horrible cars, i would really not like to see this happen...
