  1. younger people are harder to please because they have the whole 'peer presure' thing going on.. if i get this, what will my friends think... lol i've actually lost a few friends over their vehicle choices... haha
  2. and my posts suggest what age... ?
  3. but all of them CTS CTC SRX DTS STS are all supposed to be sigma II correct?
  4. haha, I work at a Chevrolet Dealership that has the 5th Highest Chevrolet CSI score in the country, and to boot, we are one of GM's largest volume dealership... I know ours is acceptable... but I wouldnt put to much effort into looking at CSI scores...
  5. possibly sigma II?
  6. well there is a one time loss of about 3.5 billion for buying out the 35k employees... GM did not lay them off... they chose to quit, and take 100k with them or whatever...
  7. quite the contrary... Toyota always looked at GM as a case study in corporate success...
  8. yea... i think its been a buy since they posted their first profit... last quarter but we'll see if that is possible to continue such efforts
  9. well its not like the lucern was an original work... the chassis and overall vehicle has been around for 10 years at least...at one point there was the Deville and the Aurura... then it was the Deville & DTS and now there are the DTS and Lucerne... so i would say it wouldnt be that bad of an idea for a 10 year old product that just got a refresh/badgejob
  10. might be UAW
  11. reminds me of the 99 GTO concept... but maybe thats just cause of the color...
  12. No, no; you're still in the (current) mindset that every GM product must somehow 'fit on the ladder' with all other GM products. That simply does not apply to the past. A Corvette was a Corvette: styling, powertrains, features that made it a Chevy Corvette. A Pontiac Banshee would be just that: a Pontiac-designed & engineered 2-seater with appropriate styling, features & powertrains. It doesn't (didn't) matter in the least that the Corvette existed- this was a completely different car. Comparisons to the vette are natural but would not invalidate the Banshee's existance. Of course, Chevy balked at the idea and whined and got their way. Again. 170351[/snapback] but at that time Corvette hadnt made its mark on the world like it has now... hell Corvette could be its own brand like it is in Europe... because it doesnt fit in chevys line up, but is the driving force on the SS models... Now Cadillac has Corvette so... where does that put everything in the scheem of things?
  13. lol... low budget? kinda strange, they are too long tho...
  14. I cant think of any Alliance where GM has benifited, except from the Izusu one we got the Duramax... but the Fiat... Suzuki... Fuji Motors...These brands all seemed to bring nothing from the table, but take from GM...
  15. but ALL WHEEL DRIVE refers to on road 4x4 100% time... not ALL WHEEL STEERING... my dad had an all wheel steering car, it was french i think... it was like a 60's car... but thats not american
  16. This reminds me of a... Kind of puts a perpective on their current outlook on business... someone dedicated... would say It would happen again, something that really ment business... not... OHH WE'LL TRY
  17. SO they introduced... ... BADGE ENGENEERING to the MAX
  18. GM's been promising RWD for a long time... and from what i hear, 25 RWD's were produced so that GM would not be concidered a liar...
  19. they make massive profit as it is... but if we are making the vehicles more expensive, and less appealing to them, they'll most likely just go toward a company that would prefer to inflate their sales... GM doesnt care about rental agencies any more... its time to be concerned with the end user... the Consumer...
  20. We are still getting a volume of customers saying, hey i drove a G6 the other day, I really want to buy one... and Used Fleet vehicles are still avalible... we've got plenty on our lot and that has nothing to do with GM reducing fleet sales... Enterprize & others still want GM vehicles... and if the resale value goes up on the Rented vehicles, this means Ideally the rental companys can charge less for GM vehicles... meaning people can test out the nicer vehicles for a cheaper price.
  21. amen to that!
  22. i hope so...
  23. i wonder how all this is going to affect consumer reports...
