  1. IIRC Toyota is leading the way with Recalls for 2006.. Moving Forward ---->
  2. but on that same token... Toyota's market capitalization is 10 times that of GM's...
  3. well stock price is always a good indication of the publics perception... at least the upperclass... which is almost all of Toyotas customers are older upperclass babyboomers...
  4. Okay now i'm starting to see some press off of this one... its getting front page treatment on MSN.com, and stock price has fallen 25% over the last 2 and a half months... including 2% today and the PR department is ontop of things... less then 30 minutes after this recall... there is some optomisic reporting from Toyota about next generation hybrids and flexfuel vehicles...
  5. is it possible to do a temperary merger... or marketing stratagy that would allow them to push back the asian brands over then ... say 5 years, and then they would emerge seperatly again?
  6. i agree... they say GM is a behemoth... then consider managing 15 brands... heh... no way... the legacy cost would consume GM...
  7. that might not be enough, some vehicles might have multiple defects...
  8. http://news.moneycentral.msn.com/provider/...0718&ID=5873092
  9. yes... Ford is sinking, and i wouldnt want to be anywhere near it... IIRC once a water vessel is under water by either 8 feet or 8 meters (probably meters) the downward suction of the boat, will not allow anyone to swim to the surface... so... you have to bail off of the boat before it gets 8 meters under water... unless you have one of those fancy flotation devices or something
  10. last year i believe they did it on the 23rd... so expect it probably next week...
  11. well that motor is good for 200k miles... so... 200k miles or 12k/yr whichever comes first... another 16 years?
  12. thats the ideal world...
  13. and how would that be possible?
  14. turbines are a bit fancier looking then that... but chrysler did make a turbine
  15. http://news.moneycentral.msn.com/ticker/ar...03&Symbol=US:GM
  16. the only thing i'm reading is where it says CURRENT CAR MODELS...
  17. not to mention its listed under the Production car catagory, not only in the concept catagory...
  18. GM is looking for the blue devil to be sub 11 seconds in the 1/4 mile... thats enzo & veyron territory... now perhaps its not going to have a W16 motor, but it'll be impressivly fast for the dollar...
  19. i cant really tell the difference between most of the pictures presented... i think one looked ot have a longer wheelbase, or atleast the rear wheel was less obtrusive to the rear door but i saw like 4 different images, different cars... were they all the same car or different sizes?
  20. There was 2 enzo crashes in so cal in the last year...
  21. well its the basic evolution of the retail business... sooner or later, walmart will push everyone out of business, then it will grow too large to carry everything, then the little guys come back... look at kmart... walmart will be the same... some day
  22. but its a good indication to see what will come in the future, its apparent that toyota cant manage the volume...
  23. ... no... gas prices are not to blame for our low stock... we ought to have over 700 silverados in stock we ought to have over 700 tahoes in stock... but its been very difficult to keep them coming in on a consistant basis... Perhaps i should make something else clear 80% of those 400 silverados are 2007's Silverado Classics... Colorodo and Uplanders... throw them in the trash, they are about appealing as a turd in a punch bowl...
  24. GM has money... perhaps not the most in the world, but enough...
  25. thats the Vortec Max logo... Duramax is chrome...
