  9. picked it up today, im giddy as a school girl! car cruised like a olds should, soft but planted at the same time ( its no corner carver, but the F41 handling package feels a ton better then the nova with no sway bars!) i have to get my friend to take some more pics, unless i can get my camera working, but ill get some soon... tomorrow im off to the DMV to register the car, so i can have some fun cruising... list of quirks / problems to fix sooner or later 1. Headliner... starting to sag like old GMs do... its not terrible, but id rather get it fixed... 2. Power door locks... seem not to work.. just an annoyance as well the only plans for now are to find a cheap 442/Hurst spoiler, otherwise, cars gonna stay stock for now.... related question... anybody know of a site with GM RPO codes? thanks
  10. ive actuall seen alot of people do the 4.3 swaps that ocn suggested on the Nova forums.... for a sixer, they can balance fuel economy and power pretty well

  20. oh thanks god its not an autobiography, the man wqas so full of himself it was astonishing.. its written by one of his speechwriters, and published while smith was still in charge....
  21. dont get me wrong, i love the 1st gens, but they were more or less a compromise styling wise... when it was decided that there wasnt time to build a mustang competitor, time was not available to build a ground up platform, thats why the 1st gens were mostly X-body components (like my nova! woot!) while many areas could be differentiated, some styling hard points had to be retained, such as cowl height, windshiled rake, and other aspects that greatly affected styling.. when a completley independent platform was green lighted, the designers were then able to build the car they wanted, and the early second gens are exactly what they wanted, no compromise, awesome powerful statements of style
  22. yea, especially since on tuesday when i took it for a bit of a test drive, it was 95 degrees... the ac blew ice cold... and the tints keep the interior cold too
  23. speak of the devil! i was just watching a few episodes of bernie mac today!
  24. thanks... now if only i could find a set of Lightning Rods for the car that wouldnt require me to get a mortgage
  25. usually i wouldnt be as inclined to pay so much for a g body, bu for the fact its ubbbbbber clean, the $2700 i negotiated with the guy seems pretty fair in my opinion..
