2006 Buick Lucerne CXL V8 Review
The "scraping my legs through jeans" comment was meant to be a somewhat funny take on how hard the lower dash plastic is. I was even more surprised that the top portion of the dash could be lifted up towards the windshield. Yes, it could have been the car that I was in since it was at the car show, so try it the next time you are in one. Grab a hold of the dashboard above the IP and see if it wiggles or is able to be lifted up.

Best time of you life?
The 14-hour flight is the pits. I would recommend an aisle seat in the rear of the plane so you can up and walk around, especially if you barely sleep on a plane. It is totally worth it, though.

The upper part of the dashboard can also be lifted up to reveal a nice big gap.

Now this is just AWFUL...
I saw a Sonata with this sort of roof today. It made me chuckle.

Saturn's rebirth vexes Chevy dealers
Saturn is not in Buick's territory and it never will be. The cars Saturn will be selling in less than two years time will (and do) appeal to young people, young families, etc. who have some cash and want stylish and dependable transportation that just a bit upmarket. Think VW. The design is directed to those demographics. Buick is very different, so much so that I cannot even believe some of you can bring yourself to think they are even closely related. Out of all the brands, IMO, Saturn will have the most direct focus. Chevy panders to everyone, Buick's image is very slowly changing, Pontiac is in tatters and GMC is getting a professional grade CUV. Saturn has a chance to win over VW, Acura and Honda-phobes. The upcoming product looks good so we will see where this is headed, though I believe crow will be eaten shortly.

Lutz comments on the Camaro and Pontiac version
I think a GTO with RX8/Ion coupe-style rear doors would be a success and would also help it stand out in a crowded field. Of course, it would turn off diehard GTO enthusiasts but the current one already has so what is the big deal of improving the GTO yet again? As long as it has no effect on the overall coupe-style (side profile view) and the car runs hot, who cares?

Saturn's rebirth vexes Chevy dealers
Without a doubt, the best post I have ever read from Reg and the best post on this whole matter. It completely changed my mind about Saturn and its massive potential.

Enclave coming this fall!!!!
At least we know what the G5 will look like. GM/Buick has to nail the production version of the Enclave. I am not expecting to see the entire concept come to life but most of it, yes sir.

Lutz comments on the Camaro and Pontiac version
There is nothing wrong with platform sharing (ie. Camry/Highlander, LaCrosse/Impala/Grand Prix) but blatant rebadges (ie. 'Nox/Torrent) are rediculous. That was what my post was alluding to.

A Performance Car for Buick?
I'd rather have a Velite than a LaCrosse Super. Throwing a big engine in an average-looking car does not make it look great.
