  1. Lordstown will most likely join the ranks of Fords Wixom Michigan plant or Fords Lorain assembly plant as a historical rather than current production facility. If anything, it is better to get the pain over with quickly and re develop. Communities don't gain anything from a shuttered plant in their midst. Really understand why both of them are doing it but disappointed to the highest degree with my senators for pressuring GM. It is GM's plant, they have a right to close it if they wish. Making other profitable plants subsidize Lordstown will only drag the whole company down.
  2. Liberty is a little beast in the snow, my friend Dustin has one.
  3. Hey, the broncos beat Pittsburgh with that interception so.... In other news, a sane discussion of the pros and cons of electric cars, something that we seem to lake here from time to time. They are coming back, like a lot of other things in Ohio.
  4. If I didn't have family in town I would drive over and Join you. Not even that big of an NFL fan....but it seems like it would be a fun game to watch. Lots of my friends here in Columbus are Colts fans.
  5. Could well be. interesting that America is finally falling in love with hatchbacks, just supersized ones.
  6. I think Sedans will make a come back of sorts. They have had a pretty good near hundred year run...hard to imagine them going the way of the station wagon.
  7. But on a completely agreeable note...I love this....cool!
  8. Being agreeable is highly over rated. That being said, may the Eagles kick some Cowboy arse...same with the Colts....I wish the Colts well.
  9. ...and this is the positive bushiness case for killing off the Taurus and the Fiesta. I would rather they focus on building exceptional vehicles rather than being everything to everybody. Lookjing forward to this coming to market.
  10. This would exactly be my kids and their friends. Will have long ranging impacts on things like Suburbs and shopping malls.
  11. I am there and then some. Going to be replacing the Beetle in a year or two because I am driving an insane amount of miles. IF Honda is still building the Civic SI and Subaru is still building the WRX...no reason to look at a Ford or Chevy. Both of these guys are spot on.
  12. I am not in your boat, but the current number is pretty damn small. I have always enjoyed my time with them.
  13. They have more money than God and anything to get them attention will keep them in that position. And watching you two fight like my cats when I dump cat treats on the floor is highly amusing. Lots of progressive people in Pennsylvania want Teslas. I see a bunch on the road there. And nothing wrong with Horse and Buggy either. Looking forward to that day.
  14. I was thinking more in terms of range, plowing snow takes a LOT of energy. Not like normal driving.
  15. It would make sense for the way we use our pickup at work, mostly for landscaping on a University Campus. Wonder how a battery pack would hold up plowing snow?
  16. Except that you would need to break into the traditional truck market, which would not be easy.
  17. I stand by my original quote. I don't see us being entirely electric by say 2035. On our way...but nowhere near completely there.
  18. I will believe it when I see it. I am a fan of the electric car, but Internal combustion is going nowhere any time soon.
  19. Exactly. And it might keep Tesla profitable...they seem to have a lot of production issues.
  20. I know about that....was thinking that a Tesla-GM indirect partnership might pay off.
  21. Ford on the other hand, builds IMHO a fantastic fantastic looking Super Duty series of truck. Not a fan per se of the Taurus.... I have consistently said I like the Ford Super Duty series of truck. (Enter sarcasm mode) On the plus side though, I think I would buy the Chevy over the Ford as no one would want to borrow the Chevy and everyone would want to borrow a Ford Super Duty. (Exit sarcasm mode) Dodge builds a fine looking truck, liking the new dodges more and more all of the time. People who do Cosplay and LARP will probably buy it if it does make it into production. That Frodo Baggins would actually drive this thing does give it a tiny bit of street cred. There are parts of the design I actually like, but they do not work together in a pleasing way to say the least.
